Gotta love a ‘peasant pick’ haha love the honesty in here and the differences in opinion, you had my mouth watering with that springbank 20 - cheers guys!
Great episode. laughed throughout whole episode. great seeing you just having fun. and still sharing knowledge. And charlotte was just great. and jeff keep slapping. My 2 favorite whisky's so far this year. lagavulin distiller edition 2003 and berry bros glen elgin 2013 small batch. unfortunaly bottle's like that springbank are out of my price range. And my vote is still for a signatory vintage episode
Go Jeff go! Unapologetic on Glen Kieth. Never had it but he’s got cojones to share that after the Glenglassaugh 30. I just wish they would have tasted it blind because as soon as it was 19 quid the noses went up. Ha!
Can’t wait for the next episode when you crack a Macallan 81 followed by a Royal Salute 12 lol Glen Keith got done dirty there. Fun episode, Jeff was class an thought he brought some really interesting bottles. Slainte
Really liked the moment when they did some slappin', 10/10. Honestly my favourite whiskies so far have been some Whisky Sponge bottlings (yummy 10yo Ben Nevis), Carn Mor heavily sherried Ardmore 🤤 and a few new releases from Tria Prima (cask strength Bruxa), which is some amazing South Australian whisky 👌🏻
@@Dan-hn1lx Honestly can't fault them. I remember trying my first bottle from them, which was a 11 year old Glencadam in bourbon. Absolutely delicious & moreish stuff.
@@jimmyjazz4605 I've got some left of the Glencadam its got this amazing raspberry donut jam thing going on. Its a tasting note I've only experienced in this dram. Delish
2+hr episode...on the best whiskies of 2024 so far...and I'm sat in a hospital waiting room twiddling my thumbs. You guys know how to properly show up for a chap. 🤜🥃
Hi guys. Thanks for such a great & fun episode. Such a different whisky line up. Altough it sitting on pricey side Port Charlotte is non brainer for me. Hopefully they still have at Springbank a little bottle for me, next month I'm going to visit Campbeltowns distilleries.
Although I can relate more to Stevie’s “fucked up” tasting note Jake is broadening my vocabulary with “mercurial.” Meaning….subject to unpredictable changes. Well done Jake :)
Great episode, got a bit manic at the end with the shlapping but great fund as always. Just like a few mates sitting around talking shite about whiskey, love it
Very enjoyable podcast. I laughed out loud 😆 You guys should definitely do a similar one at the end of the year. Question: I have never tried a Glenglassaugh before. Since Jake is such a big fan, what one would he suggest I start with? Thanks and cheers guys!
I don't think new glenglassaugh is really comparable to the older glenglassaugh before they closed in the 80s. The 1972 caska selected by Andrea Caminneci are phenomenal and at least in my top 50 or so whiskies I've tried.
I dont wanna be the party pooper but i’ve recently been to Campbeltown and took part in the cage bottle tasting and we tried a few cage bottles where it says on the label for example „longrow 13Y fresh ruby port cask“ or „longrow 9Y fresh palo cortado cask“. Sooo yes they have been in fresh casks BUT not a full maturation. Both have been reracked in 2021 or 2022 during covid, i can’t remember entirely. So the ruby port was in a claret before and the palo cortado was in a marsala cask before. Dont get me wrong they both were outstanding delicious and i even managed to buy a bottle of the 13y Longrow ruby port but i just wanted to say that on the label it only says fresh ruby port but it got reraccked. Things have changed a bit at springbank. The cage bottles arent one of cask samples anymore too. They are basically single casks now which they pick for a cage bottling. Again not a bad thing!! Im a massive SB fanboy, i just wanted to tell u guys what i learned when i was there😁
I mean great episode but the level or sexual innuendo was off the chain 😂 Second mention for Stevie and Jake’s hotel experience as well. Guys I feel an episode where you recreate Stevie and Jake’s “paint me like one of your French girls….with a bottle of Port Charlotte” is coming! 😂
I have never in my life seen English people cross talk and have two conversations at once. 27:40 minutes like two conversations at once lol. We do it alot in Turkey so I felt right at home lol
Mwahahaha, whisky meets BDSM, who would have thought that would work? Now this episode was a craic, loved it. Some incredible whisky there, slightly disappointed by the Millstone as I've had a great experience with a 5 year old Oloroso cask strength that was a heavenly nomnomnom. Thanks again for another entertaining 2 hour + stint. Side note @JeffWhisky where was the bushy tasting note in this episode?
I would love to see a Morrison/Carn Mor episode. I have 4 Carn Mor expressions. 11 year old Glen Ord bourbon. 10 year Glencadam bourbon. 13 year Glentauchers first fill sherry and a Glentauchers Almontillado finish and there all bangers especially the Glentauchers. Maybe a Glentauchers episode one day as well. Slainte keep up the good work lovin it!!! I am also a classic laddie hater, I dont get it very raw and no great tasting nosing or tasting notes, however Octomore and Port Charlotte are winners!!
Filey Bay peated whisky use ex peat casks to get their flavour. Can this be really classed as a peated whisky if barrels are used to flavour instead of barley being peat smoked.
I stand by my peasant pick! Cheers for having and indulging me, it was a real blast.
well done for spreading the slap and the bargain finds
I feel so sorry for you having to put up with such appalling snobby bastards!
I just feel sorry for Keith
The man himself 👋🏻🍾

What a RIOT of an eppisode. Jeff whisky rocks he's so funny and how cool is Charlotte. Entertainment PLUS!! you legends!

The slap is strong with this one 🤣🤣Jeff bringing the enuendos and these two hours went quick. NEED MORE!
Jeff turns down a second dram of the Glenlassaugh 30 year old! Priceless. Great chat. Really funny and a super watch.
8 drams deep at this point and feared I would embarrass myself 😂I could do that myself without the drams! Cheers Bob!
hawk thua, Slap on that thing! Jeff is a down to earth whisky peasant. Great pod great picks!?!
Shoud do a "peasant pick" episode and bring Jeff back. Subbed and looking forward to more.
Didn’t know I would see the day where Stevie was a gentleman and not the most obnoxious person on this pod 🤔🤣
Jeff was a real gentleman, great lad 👍
Great content as usual and nice to see Jeff and Charlotte again. Jeff’s unique approach to his channel, style and comment is refreshing Cheers..
Jeff! The Dude, His Dudeness, El Duderino! ❤🥃
Bring out the gimp!!! Expected Jeff to bring a Kilkerran or Laphroaig 10 Sherry Oak! 💜
That Glen Kieth is a brilliant bottle! One of the best affordable ones to grab in the supermarket.

Glenglassaugh is right next to the village of Portsoy. Also quite close to Sandend.
I'm with Jake here: PC is my most favourite product that comes out of Bruichladdich. Of course I'm not counting Rhinns and Lochindaal...
Props to Jeff for standing tall with that cheap glenkitch! price is a huge factor

"Ribena cask" Jeff is a star and feel like Charlotte was encouraging the filth. "this is fxcked up" Slainte
There are some really good Glen Keith IB's out there. And especially with some age and single casks. Occasionally in the SMWS outruns.

Glen Keith is from Keith. Strathisla and Strathmill also in the same town.
Bring out The Valinch
Here for the Jeff filth! Slap on
Talking about slapping bottles.. pls tell me you saw the hawk thua girl on Instagram?😂😂
Drinking piss from a sweaty sock is a step up from Bells! #justsaying
How is glen keith bottling included in this 1/2 year roundup….Ian missing that’s how 😂
Lol. I'm steeling that saying my beardy brother. "You can solve global issues with this"
Are the studio lights really bright or does this Jeff-guy have a bad eye infection?
nah he had bellspalsy so can't shut his eye properly. Talks about it on his channel
I really didn’t enjoy that Glen Keith. Very dull. I’ve had a few Indy versions though which have been lovely.
Alright with soda water or decent lemonade or something…
For some reason I am questioning Jeff :)
Great episode but Stevie could you please stop slurping and chewing your whisky with your mouth open into the microphone 😂
Great podcast but whoever keeps chewing the dram in the mic! Makes my skin crawl 😂 not into the ASMR.
What's with the casual racism? It doesn't look or sound good. 👎
Hi Can, really confused by this. Can you please clarify what you are referring to here?
So many innuendos in this episode. Could have turned real quick. Brilliant as always. 🫢🫣🤣
