Iain Forteath is a real whisky legend, I have quite a love for the super budget Glencadam American Oak Reserve and the whole range is solid. Cheers to another brilliant pod guys!
Glencadam 10 is a staple on my shelf. nice introduction to glencadam. love px finish whisky's each week in the podcast see whisky's i want to try (buy) you guys make me poor 😀
Thank you guys! Probably my favourite episode so far in the podcast. Please visit the distillery and do an episode on Tomintoul too. I’m a huge longtime fan of Glencadam but didn’t have an opportunity to try a lot of Tomintoul stuff yet
Glencadam is a real hidden gem!! Perfect Brand to get people into whisky. The Glencadam Andalusia Reserve was one of my first own bottles and it really got me into
Love Ian and his attitude towards whisky, please have him join you as often as possible. Love the Glencadam have yet to try anything from Tomatin aside from the entry dram so would like to see your thoughts before I dive in
Glencadam was one of my first loves. I remember fondly going into an independent bottle shop (shoutout Goodwood Cellars) and picking up a Carn Mor bottling, and it was a revelation for me. Peaches and cream, burnt sugar, apples, pears, scotch finger biscuits and more. Amazing stuff. I then picked up the limited edition 13yo and fell more in love. I currently have the 10, the 15 and an IB by the Whisky Agency (matured in first fill PX) and they're all slappin'. I have plenty more closed. Thanks for putting this episode together 👏🏻
Every time I see an interview with Iain, he always has interesting things to share. Thank you Iain! I’m a HUGE Glencadam fan. They really can do no wrong. Great discussion, gentlemen! Cheers!
Really enjoyable watch thanks guys. Thanks to Ian too, would be great to see more of him. Not sure why I've overlooked Glencadam, but after this a bottle will be added to the shelf very soon. BTW the 24yo is available for £266 on JPHA!
@IanBear1000 also used the Uncut 20 discount code to buy a lovely 50th wedding anniversary present (engraved Montrose fruit bowl) for my cousin. Thanks to you and Glencairn!!
Thank you Ian! exactly what I needed after a heavy weekend in London. I've tried only the 10 and I wasn't to keen on it but really must try some of the others especially at shows as they're always at them .
Thank you, Ian! Yes, please do come back and do another episode on a Glencadam/Tomintoul theme. Great table talk, great drams - would love to try all of these in this way. Really enjoy the 10 on a summer's day, the standard 15 (old bottling) as a fruit-driven favourite and the 18yo as a wonderful expression of the ex-bourbon maturation. Cheers.
Glencadam has escaped me all these years, despite being born in the County of Angus. But have found online retailers in Poland where I can now get some limited bottlings. Great episode, Iain was a star, looking forward to Tomintoul episode
Excellent episode!!! I’m in the same boat as Stevie & Jake. Heard of the brand but hadn’t tried any. Well Done Posh Scotch for pushing for it. I’m very excited to go out a try some, the Riserva Amarone could well be first up. Thank You to Iain for talking us through them. Can’t wait to see a Tomintoul episode or a trip to Glencadam for a tour.
Edit: heck yeah to an iain frankenblend episode Always a pleasure to hear more from Iain Forteath. Looking forward to this! Glencadam has great whisky even for those on a budget. Have been happily exploring their cask finish series this year. Looking forward to tasting the new madeira finish in that range.
Nice review lads. Iain is a very entertaining and informative guest and Glencadam is a personal favourite of mine too. Excellent choice for an episode. Cheers.
Angus Dundee struck lucky in getting Iain, his previous life in wine retailing gives him an obvious advantage over most Brand ambassadors and blenders. He is also a complete natural in front of the camera! I’ll be first in line to visit Glencadam, when it finally opens.
Love Glencadam have tried multiple expressions and I have a Carn Mor Glencadam 10 and its a great drop. I get red donut jam on the nose and much more off it flavor wise great distillery!! Slainte lads
Great episode gents and another brilliant producer who, by and large, does it the right way. I really gotta try that core range, it's so rare to see an all ex-bourbon maturation for those. Great show!
Thank you Ian, I really enjoyed this episode. Glencadam has been on my curiosity purchase list for quite some time. (besides, Posh Scotch is never wrong) I only really have access to the core range but I think it might be time to give the 15 a go. Thanks for the tasting notes and enthusiasm gents. Much appreciated.
Had the pleasure of shipping across the pond last year a 13 year Glencadam single cask port….was a first foray into Glencadam and definitely want more 👍🏼
One of the nicest guys in whisky Ian. Im A Big fan of the Glencadam spirit. I think the 10 is a great gateway whisky & A easy sipper summer time dram. @@IanBear1000 Good man! Shout out to JHPA Glencadam prices 😂
Great show, love Glencadam. 10yr a great dram and value. Looking forward to trying others in the range.
Huge fan of Glencadam and all their releases. Great liquid, reasonable prices and a distillery visitor centre under construction. Fab place.
Hopefully we will get up with the new distillery visitor centre for some proper filming ❤

Picked up the 17 PX finish for £90 (with a £10 off voucher). Absolutely delicious.

Both hopefully coming! Amarone well worth it ❤
I'm a big fan of glencadam! Must respect the 100% ex bourbon core range.
The 18 was so good 🎉
I've got a 32 year old (Montgomeries) 2007 cask 1 bottle. That makes it distilled in 1975!
Edit: heck yeah to an iain frankenblend episode

Mochi. Those Japanese ice cream desserts have mochi around the ice cream. Red bean and black sesame ones are super tasty!
