Hi Sally! I enjoyed hearing all about the Big Stitch! I’m glad you had fun! I’ve looked over my Cinnamon Stars chart and ordered the floss I’m missing, so I should be all set for the August 26 start with you! You also inspired me to make an actual plan with my sixty starts for sixty! I kitted up 18 smalls and started a few of them.i should make it if I start seven projects a month until the end of the year! 😂👍

Fab review of Big Stitch! It was great to meet you ❤ you’ve filled in some blanks for me - I was also gifted a tote bag by Hazel but I had no clue who it was as we were in the middle of packing up (and it’s a whole other story too😅). It’s weird, but Blackwork isn’t like doing backstitch. It is, but it isn’t. Just, somehow it’s nowhere near the stress/hassle/tedium. It’s almost meditative. Unless you’re doing one by Patchy At Best Co and they use fractionals. Fractionals!!! In Blackwork!!!!! Yeah…. #shouldhavestitcheditonevenweave Also, I think we wish we could kind of re-stitch Quacker 😂 cos the quackalong sounds fun - have you seen Brom’s stitch of it from last year?

Oh no, my overflowing wip bin is getting another hit! Lol, i just absolutely love the quacker pattern and ran right away to buy it, lol. Since my 50th is Sept 4th, it's my enabling excuse to join in, haha ❤

Sally! Greetings from across the pond in Dallas! Loved, loved, loved hearing your recap of the Big Stitch! I had heard both the Caroline’s recap and it was so much fun hearing another take on it! I’m envious of you getting to meet Jacob. I haven’t had the honor yet. I’ve seen his 2025 SAL and am definitely going to stitch it! Evertote will be getting the pattern in soon and I’ll get it then. I, too, prefer stitching from a paper pattern. Just old school, I guess! I’m currently stitching my first Barbara Ana (Sailing Dreams) and loving it! Thanks so much for all you do and there’s no such thing as a too long video from you!! ❤️

Love all of your projects and finishes. I turned 50 two months ago and started a few large projects. One more yet to start for my birthday but my mum passed two weeks later so there a few I now want to start to dedicate to her first.

I laughed out loud when you said that your Bee chart was your most recent purchase --- for now! I know that feeling!! It definitely does meet the prompt because it was your most recent purchase when you showed it!! I love the idea of your stitch-along with Lisa. I don't have the Feast of Friendship unfortunately, but I will follow along and do another chart that is all about friends called Seasoned Friend (Jeanette Douglas, Letters from Mom July). The chart is intended to depict and mother and daughter, but I am doing it for my very dearest friend. I do love all your starts and plans. I hope you have a lovely time at the retreat.

Good to see you, as always, Sally. Before I watched your video I watched Lisa's video and it was so lovely to see her doing well. I think I would like to climb on board the Feast of Friendship SAL and did some kitting up on it today. I have had this pattern in my to stitch pile since I started cross stitching again in 2020. I'm not getting any younger and although my WIP total is getting a little out of hand I plan to start on the 29th. If I never start it, it will never get done. Love that house and the fruit basket.
