The details of the Dreams of Summer SAL are as below;
This is a five part stitch-a-long. You will receive a part of the design on the release dates below until the design is fully revealed on 11th July.
Charts are in PDF format in colour, a b/w version, and a Pattern Keeper compatible version too. The updated files will be emailed to you each time a new part is released.
Part 1 - 16th May
Part 2 - 30th May
Part 3 - 13th June
Part 4 - 27th June
Part 5 - 11th July
The last day to join the SAL is 29th May!

She is! I really do appreciate her stitching so much more now I am stitching again myself. I just hope I can instill that same love in my daughter as she will inherit a huge collection 😲😲🤣

You’re getting through so much stitching, I can’t believe it. That Melocca chicken is wonderful but huge in stitch terms! Well done on getting so close to a finish already. The Dreaming of Summer SAL looks like a really nice manageable size and of course the colours are perfect for a bit of summer brightness. Doing WIPGO next year is a good idea to help parents down the number of WIPs we are creating! 😉
I thought I would get the Rooster stitched quite quickly as he really isn't that big - but boy was I wrong!! Finished him last night though and he looks great. I'm looking forward to the next part of the Dreaming of Summer to come out. The first one was a nice achievable size. Are you going to join me for WIPGO next year? I think it will be a no new start month in January 2025 🤣🤣🤣

@@flossysewsandgrows I think that if you continue to have lots of smaller pieces alongside the bigger ones then I can see you being ok. If you find that you can't do a new start one month then that is ok, let it roll over or start it on the last day of the month - there's no rule against that. Don't forget that this is meant to be a fun challenge & not one to strangle your hobby/creativity ❤️xx

Nice finishes! And you've made lots of progress on everything. I love the Melocca chicken. I actually haven't decided what I'm doing about the Quaker motifs in Spring Quaker yet. But there will be less brown. Take care and have fun helping with your daughter's show.

You are doing great with your 50 starts. My husband would not take care if I stitched a cushion, so I will not waste my time doing one. I have stitched a few things on linen, but I like Aida easier to stitch on.
I really don't think these husbands appreciate our stitching as much as they should do they! If we didn't stitch just think what other hobbies we could have that could be far worse 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Another parade of beautiful work, Sally! Enjoyed watching again. My suggestion for your forgotten finish: use Christmas fabric to make it the centre of a mini quilt block, maybe even on point, and turn that into a Christmas ornament or mini wall hanging. It could be the centre of a log cabin block, if you’re feeling really adventurous!

Love your finishes Sally. The chicken looks fantastic! Garden of Dreams seems to be causing us some problems! Mine was the big orange flower. I couldn’t get it right and couldn’t work out why so took it out and started from the top. The cushion that your Mum stitched is gorgeous. An absolute treasure. Happy stitching my friend 😊 x

So very lovely stitching with you this evening, dear friend! Yes, I'm joining in on the Spring Quaker SAL. I've settled on pinks for the quaker motifs...and still waffling on fabric. I'm to visit a cross stitch shop this next week so I can see fabric in person. Then it's a go. I rarely get to shop in person since they are so far away. I’m a first time WIPGO user this year - my secret hint is don’t pin set projects to the numbers (in case you finish them before they are called) but set themes to the numbers instead. For example this month one of my calls was to stitch 5 days on a project with a living being on it. It keeps your options wide open :) - take care, Nic x

I can totally see why your head was turned by the floral chicken, she’ll look great on your chicken wall.
For your rescue piece, clearly it’s a Xmas decoration, I’m wondering if you’d be able to wrap it round a 3d shape maybe polystyrene cube/cuboid block to hang it in a tree with a lovely ribbon coming up through the block. I may have something that might work if you’re interested.
The linen threads are gorgeous colours, I would probably get myself into a mess with them but you never know, sometimes I surprise myself 😂

I’m trying 45 count linen for the first time! Love the forgotten stitch and I’d go with an ornament for the tree or a box top. Love the Mum stitch this time even tho there’s far too much pink 😂. Happy stitching x

Linen is not my favourite fabric, but I love the colours of those threads. For the unfinished stitching, I'd make a small ornament with the # name on the back to remind you where it came from. Happy stitching!

I love you itch to stitch finish. Mildred’s strawberry took me 4 nights mainly because I was out for two of them and barely got any stitching in, loved the linen colours. You are doing so well with your 50 starts, I love seeing your new starts & wips. I loved that Anchor linen when it was gifted to you, I would love to give that a go on a nice linen. Oh too much happening here too! We're away today for a day or two so it may be at least one day with no stitching. I'm not sure how I'm going to cope! Hopefully I will make up for it on Sunday and manage to get lots of stitching done. Although I have a horrible feeling I may also be doing lots of talking!!! Make sure you come and say hello! I think it may have been the fault of a gripping bit in the new Rebus on BBC! I was also tired which doesn't help. I hope the rain lessens as we go although it does mean I don't have to force myself out to the garden and have an excuse to stay in and stitch! Happy Stitching 🪡🧵❤️
