So sorry that you got Covid as a free gift from your retreat, that’s unlucky! I did love the framing of your piece, it looks amazing. Hope you feel heaps better soon, take care Nic x
That sounds like a good idea Nic! I am definitely going to have some monthly challenges so maybe 'Make it March' when I have to do as many FFO's as I can. The box of doom is getting full so needs some attention 😆
Great video Sally! I've been having SIL withdrawal symptoms so your video was just perfect! Thanks for sharing your stash! Well done on your FOs, they look amazing. Good luck on the rest of your WIPs and new starts for your special year. Was lovely to meet you in person too! 💗
Oh the retreat withdrawal symptoms are not good! Even sitting looking at all your new purchases doesn't make you feel less sad it is over lol. I hope you have another one planned soon! Take care and happy stitching 🧵🪡❤️
Thank you so much for your great video. I loved hearing all about the retreat and seeing your WIPs and finishes. I hope you feel better soon. Take care and happy stitching.
Thank you for the 50 finishes suggestion! I think by the end of 2024 I will have quite a few of my current wips finished so 50 finishes for next year might be a tall order unless I do lots of Ornaments......we'll see lol! Happy Stitching 🪡🧵❤️
Hi Sally, great video! Fab to hear all the fun you had a stitch London. Sorry to hear your poorly and hope you feel better soon. Your finishes were absolutely stunning! 🧵💗
Thank you Lauren! It has taken me a bit longer than expected to get better but at least I have been managing to stitch still. More finishes on the way I hope - have lots more new starts on the horizon 🤣🤣🤣
The Cabin looks absolutely stunning!!!! 😍😍😍 Wow!! Love it! So much stichy goodness, I love it! So glad to see you so excited my friend!! ❤️❤️ Hope you’ll be back to normal very soon and I can’t wait to catch up soon! Sending big hugs ❤️❤️ (I knew you would buy that much fabric 🤣🤣)
Hahahahha - you know me so well. I bet our Austrian friend buys just as much if not more lol. Starting to feel better thankfully. Hope to see you soon!! Xxx
So glad you had a great time on the retreat, what lovely gifts you received. Hope you are back to full health very soon. It’s a shame about the Teresa Kogut Halloween start but definitely the right decision to stop if you are not loving the fabric choice. I’m so excited for Swan Bay fabrics to launch, I need to get some starts kitted up 🤣💗
I think i will definitely be happier on a 36 count for the Hello Halloween. I'm not going to pressure myself to start it again straight away though - too many other things going on lol. You will love the fabric from Swan Bay.....🥰
I am sure I can pass it your way when I have finished with it! I will have to get busy stitching in the New Year from it. There are soooo many good Halloween ornaments in it!
Lovely to hear about your SIL weekend & glad you are starting to feel better! Your moonshine cabin looks fabulous & will look just perfect in your living room❣️ For a 2025 challenge how about a set number (maybe not 50). of different finishing styles & attack that box of doom !! 🤭. You could give us some inspiration & your viewers could give you some too….. Enjoy your quiet weekend xxx
That sounds like a great idea. There will definitely be a focus in trying to get the box of doom out and the things in it finished! I do enjoy trying to be creative with my finishes as you know! Happy Stitching 🪡🧵❤️
You look so cheerful talking about the retreat. So glad to hear all about the retreat and your stitching. Beautiful framing job. I still hear a frog in your voice. Take care.
Thank you Ruth. It really was a wonderful retreat! Sad I was poorly for some of it as didn't talk to as many people as I would have liked. That's life though isn't it. Happy Stitching and looking forward to chatting soon xx
Thank you for the sweet shout out! Also, I am so in love with Claire's summer sal! I loved seeing the side by side of your version with hers. Can't wait to add that one to my WIP pile (maybe once I get the Halloween mystery sal done!) Take care, Sally! 💕
Oh I love the Halloween SAL and wish I had done it! Claire has some really lovely designs - it was so lovely to meet her at SIL. Hopefully see you on Zoom soon! Xxx
Thank you Angel. Still recovering - it has taken a while! I have managed to keep stitching which is the most important bit isn't it! Happy Stitching 🪡🧵❤️
Hi Sallie, it’s nice to see you again and so sorry to hear that you got Covid. It seems to be running around a lot again. It looks like you had such a wonderful time at stitch. London just wish they live much closer to be able to come down on the bucket list somewhere, hope you have a happy couple of weeks and see you soon. Happy stitching. Cheers.
Thank you! Yes Covid is doing the rounds again and this bout has lasted a while! Slowly on the mend but at least managing to stitch still! See you soon - will be back either this week or early next week!! Xxx
Thanks Steph - it has taken a while to get better! It hit me hard this time. Wondering where you are in the North and wonder if you are close enough to join us at The Cheshire Stitchers in Helsby? Xxx
@@flossysewsandgrows hoping you are much better now. I live in Sandbach in South Cheshire. Helsby is about 30ish miles away so not too far. I have heard of the Cheshire Stitchers - I was with my Sis at Create Nostalgia and Mary told us that the Cheshire group is lovely. However, I am not on Facebook or Instagram so do not know how to make contact. Can I email you to find out more? It is very kind of you to mention it Sally. Thank you, Steph 😊
Thanks Rosa! I wonder if 50 finishes might be quite a tall task - I would have to have quite a few new starts to achieve that too.....maybe I'll have a month of trying to get as many things finished as possible! Happy Stitching 🪡🧵❤️
@rosamoulton9775 yes!!! There are some great Halloween ones in the magazine I got off the freebie table at SIL that wouldn't take long to stitch at all!
Great video. Thanks for sharing about your trip to Stitch in London. Sorry to hear you were unwell and glad to hear that you are improving. Love all of your stitching. Loved seeing all the stash you got as well. Take care and look forward to the next video.
Thank you Debbie. It has taken me longer than I thought to get better. Getting there though and managing to stitch at least! Hopefully the next video won't be too far away. Happy Stitching 🪡🧵❤️
I am so sorry that illness has visited you but happy you had a great retreat. The object you are not sure of..I got a pack of three of those for my daughter…needless to say threaders. I am at start 53 today and will have another start tomorrow. 🦉🍁🍂🪡🧵
Thank you so much Karen. Slowly recovering! I am so impressed with your new starts - it's going to be an awesome year for you! Happy Stitching my dear friend x
Lovely to catch up with all your stitchy goodness Sally - I think it’s amazing that you are now so close to completing your 50 start challenge. I am also just kitting up for next year’s Modern Folk SAL - I’ve settled on DMC 600 (fuchsia pink). Hm next year’s challenge for you….i really like the idea of trying as many different finishes as you can which was suggested in another comment - that would be so inspiring to watch! Hope the COVID symptoms disappear soon. xx
Thank you Alison - still recovering but getting there. It's been slow! I can't wait to start the MFE SAL - it's going to be soooo good. Yes I think lots of finishes and making them creative would be great fun. I have lots of supplies so sure I can do it 🤣😁
I’ve watched eventually! All my plans to download and watch on the plane failed as I couldn’t blue tooth the headphones 🤦♀️ Sorry you’ve been ill and hope the cough is gone soon. Yes I did get more than 6 Swan bay fabrics! Mine was the blue and turquoise zip pull - glad you loved the colours!!
I hope you are feeling better. Your finish of Moonshine Cabin is absolutely beautiful. I think you should do a new challenge for 2025. Maybe a monthly one instead of 50😂 Is there a particular item or season that you would like more finishes for? You could do a challenge to start a new project each month to fill in the gaps or perhaps pick a designer each month and start one of their patterns. Pick a freebie pattern to start each month...so many ideas. I can't wait to see what you decide.
Thank you Karen. Slowly getting better but it has taken a while! I agree that monthly challenges are the way forward! I have an idea already for January and February too. Watch this space!!
Finally got a chance to catch up on Flosstube. Great to see you, sorry you pucked up the bug. I'm battling a head cold st the monent. Its not a lot of fun 🤧🤧🤧 Moonshine Cabin is beautiful. Another one on my ever lengthening wish list. Glad you had a good time at SIL. Sounded like an amazing weekend. Hope you feel better soon. Take care, best wishes from 🇮🇪
Lovely to finally get caught up with you Sally. Love your framed pieces and your WIPs are looking fantastic. Loved seeing all your bits from Stitch in London. I have the Meloca Designs Robin in my stash. Are you surprised?! Love those fabrics that you bought from Marie. I’m thinking about getting some to stitch Alpaca Farm on. Sorry to hear that you’ve not been well. Hope you’re feeling much better soon. Happy stitching 😊 xx
I thought about you with both the Maloca Robin and the Love Poppet one!! The Swan Bay Fabric is beautiful to stitch on - feel lucky I was able to get some to try but also first in line at SIL to buy some! Hope the kitchen work goes well and you can get some stitching done xx
Pretty sure I picked up my Covid at SIL as well, luckily it only felt like a bad cold, I only tested the following weekend cause my sense of taste had suddenly gone, else I wouldn’t have known that’s what it was. Passed it on to my fella too. 🫣All well again now. ❤
Awww it's rubbish isn't it. I'm still not 100% - my sinuses just won't clear. This time I didn't lose my smell or taste but did last time I got it in 2021 - took about 10 months for my taste to come back properly and still certain things I don't like now (white wine still tastes like grass 🤮) Glad you didn't feel too bad though. See you at the next one!! Xxx
I completely forgot to tell you I had called you Courtney again in your absence!! I then had to tell the whole table the whole story of course! Glad you aren't easily offended 🤣🤣🤣
Sorry I watched the video when it was released but didn’t comment. Now I see the chickens in the background 😂. So having to re watch while stitching on with thy hands. Love Oct 31st, it really pops off the swam bay fabric. I don’t think I have Zienna in my stash which looks amazing. I might have to start the quaker very soon, mine will be different again, I’ve wanted to start since I was The Brom stitching it and finishing it. Stitch in London looks amazing.
Sorry you came away from stitch in London with an unwanted gift 😢 but I’m glad you’re feeling better. I have some duck fabric left if you really want a duck themed bag 😊 happy stitching x
Thank you Lindsay! It has taken me a while to get over this time - still not quite right! I might have to take you up on a duck bag 🥰 Happy stitching my friend xx
Always love watching your video’s. Thanks for sharing all those beautiful things.🍀🍀
You are so welcome - I love showing you all my stitching! ❤️❤️

What about 25 fully finished items in 2025 - but you can’t just make 25 little pillows. LOL
That sounds like a good idea Nic! I am definitely going to have some monthly challenges so maybe 'Make it March' when I have to do as many FFO's as I can. The box of doom is getting full so needs some attention 😆
