Thanks my friend! Struggling a little with Itch to Stitch as not overly happy with my colours but just aiming for a finish and will get it on my sewing room wall! See you next week hopefully x
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed. I really have so many bits and bobs from over the years it's good to be doing something with them. Happy quilting and stitching! Xxx
Lovely to catch up with you on this miserable afternoon here in East Yorkshire. Not a lot to do other than stitch and watch floss tube! Your stitching is just beautiful. Always love seeing what you’ve been up to. Glad you managed to sort Garden of Dreams. You received some wonderful stitchy kindness. The button box for Ros is absolutely gorgeous. Happy stitching my friend. Take care x 😊
Thank you dear Sally! I'm pleased I could keep you company. Looking forward to some Garden of Dreams time today as it's Wednesday! Happy Stitching 🪡🧵❤️
Wow Sally! The button box turned out so beautifully 😍 What a treat for Ros and well done on a wonderful FFO! You have really wonderful stitching on the go right now. That coffee and eggs is intense stitches! And Spring Quaker is gorgeous but another biggie! These are all wonderful choices to have as memories for your 50th year. Keep up the good work my friend!
I am so happy with the Button Box - it was a biggie with that house but absolutely worth it. Ros is so thrilled with both our gifts so it's been wonderful. Yes there are some big stitches in the mix now but I've always wanted to do WIPGO so that's one for next year 🤣 Happy Stitching lovely xx
So pleased I picked some smalls early on that I could get some finishes in too! If everything was still a WIP I think I would feel snowed under!! Happy Stitching 🪡🧵❤️
Will I ever get on top of Flosstube watching! Lovely to catch up with you on and off over the last week. Glad you had a good time with Ros and Hazel. I own that chicken chart Ros gifted you!
It was hard to give the box away but Ris has become such a lovely friend I was glad to gift it to someone who loved it and appreciated it. Stitchy friends are great aren't they! Xx
Beautiful stitching Sally. I think that you are doing amazing with your starts and finishes. I think everyone handles how many wips they can have differently. Some can have a lot and it doesn't bother them for me it's no more than 15 because I feel overwhelmed and stressed. I think for me it's because I want things up on my wall or displayed. Happy Stitching. ❤
Thank you Ruth. I'm having such fun this year with all my stitching! I think I know that 15 is about my limit too as I really didn't want to start the Friends one until I had a finish 🙈 I will be carrying on though and forcing myself to relax about it - it's only a year!! Next year will definitely be year of the WIP'S!! Happy Stitching dear friend x
Your button box is so cute! And I love the red sampler, might have to look for that pattern. That quilt top is lovely! Great idea to use it for bags! Sounds like you had a lovely day away and lots of fun gifts!
Thank you Darlene. I'm so proud of the button box and the bag!! It's nice to give stitching and things I've made and get such a wonderful response from the recipients. It will be good to do something with the quilt top and it not be sitting in a box! Happy Stitching my friend 🧡🧵🪡
Love your finishes! That button box is great! Thank you for enabling me to start Spring Quaker. I usually change projects every few days or every week, but I've been stitching only Spring Quaker since I started it. My plans for May involve finishing some projects so I'll be switching then, but will continue with Spring Quaker until then. Take care!
So thrilled you have joined us for Spring Quaker and you are making such progress on it! It really is a lovely stitch isn't it!! Looking forward to seeing your finishes in May so please share them! Happy Stitching x
What a beautiful gift, your button box is beautiful. I think you deserve to do one for yourself. Really enjoying seeing all your stitching progress and hearing your future plans. Happy stitching 😊❤
I'm hoping someone will stitch one for me now 😆😆 I don't usually stitch things more than once and that was a big house to do! Thank you though - I loved stitching it for a friend ❤️
Hi Sally, I'd love to see how you're managing kitting up and keeping all your projects - always interesting to see different people's ideas! (not that I'm going to be starting 50 projects any time soon...!) You did a great job with the button box - fabulous - and lovely stitching as always. Your Spring Quaker is looking good, really looking forward to seeing it come along. Hope you get lots of stitchy time, Kim ❤
Thanks Kim! I am sure my ideas aren't new and I am pretty much kitting up as I go but I will film something to tell you all how I just about manage to juggle things! I'm really enjoying the Spring Quaker - considering I was a bit scared of it initially 🤣 Happy Stitching lovely 🧵🪡❤️
I love your button box - it turned out so beautiful! You die a great job with the finishing. I dont know how you find time to fit everything in especially with your trips out this month. I would love to see a flosstube about kitting up, please ❤
I find the time by ignoring the dust in my house 😂😂😂😂 I had to give it such a good blitz at the weekend and I really didnt get as much stitching time as I would have liked 😆 I'll maybe look at doing an extra flosstube in May as it's a long month and include some chat about kitting up. Happy Stitching! Xxx
Oh that is a beautiful quilt. I bet it still looks gorgeous. I made my Mum 'Ruth's Quilt' from the Living the Dream book the year I got married (so 2007!) She still has it in pride of place in her living room! Xx
That button box 😱😱 Wow, that is absolutely beautiful!! Great job 😍❤️ Also the bag, you know how much I love it - but you can’t say Thank You enough, so Thank you 😘❤️ I am so impressed how many of your starts you already finished. You can be so proud of that. Also, „Spring Quaker“ is so beautiful! 😍 So happy, you‘re also enjoying it 😊 I would love to see how you organize and plan all your starts this year - this will be so interesting to see, so please do! I wish you a wonderful weekend and some amazing stitchy time 😍❤️ PS: Name changing already took place 😬
Hahahha - great name change!!! Lovely to 'see' you on Saturday. I'm thinking how I can do a organising/kitting up video without showing too much off my very messy craft room....Happy Stitching my lovely friend 🧵🪡🥰
Lovely video. So many beautiful things to admire both stitched by you and gifted by friends. I have the Barbara Ana Garden of Dreams chart and am planning a 1st May start. The button box is gorgeous. What an amazing gift for your friend.
Thank you for watching! I hope you enjoy Garden of Dreams - please show us your progress on Instagram if you can! I'm really enjoying stitching it now I've got over my error!!! Happy Stitching 🪡🧵❤️
I'm sitting in a pub in the West of Ireland, surrounded by fishermen discussing this past weeks fishing festival. Following the transcript to follow you tonight 😂😂😂 I will go back & watch properly when we get home. Great to see Hazel & Roz, glad you had such a good time with them & with Charly 👏👏👏 Love that you are repurposing your quilt tops. Take care, best wishes from 🇮🇪
Ha - love this! I hope it was a successful festival for Jon and he enjoyed it. So lovely to catch up with some of our friends. Happy Stitching from 🏴
Finally got to watch properly. Loved all your projects especially the box. What a beautiful gift. In honour of May, I've started MFE Queen of the May & hope to get it done in the month 🤞🤞🤞 Then it'll be back to the MFE SALs. Take care, best wishes from 🇮🇪
That Flowers and Buttons box turned out amazing, congratulations for such a wonderful finished piece, you can be indeed proud of your work! I fully understand how difficult it is to part with something so beautiful, even though you stitch it from the very beginning with the intention of gifting it. I am sorry that the sailors' MFE pattern is still not available yet, I would have joined you both on this sal as well. Happy May stitching!
Thank you - so proud and so hard to give away but made up by the joy it bought Ros! Sorry you can't join us with the MFE one - I'm sure it will be available soon and it will still be in my WIP pile so you can join me for a finish 🤣🤣
Hi Sally from across the pond [New York]…just binged from your 2024 wip parade and have totally enjoyed your videos…love all your chickens too…happy stitching ..Cheers!
Awww thank you for joining me! So pleased you enjoyed watching. We're hoping to visit New York City later this year.....I've already had a brief look but am I right in thinking there's not really any cross stitch stores I could visit in the city? Advice would he appreciated! Happy Stitching 🪡🧵❤️

Great to see you again with all your stitchy progress and plans! I just love the button box you made - you did a great job on stitching and finishing! I’m stitching the Welsh Quaker flag on 18 count aida. I haven’t stitched on aida for years but I’m surprised at how well I’ve adapted!!
Thank you Lynette! I really enjoyed the button box - it was such a joy to gift it to Ros too. I'm excited about doing the Welsh Qukaer Flag but it is a biggie isn't it so I wonder if more sensible to do next year 😆🤣🙈🪡🧵
@@flossysewsandgrows The flag is pretty big - 410 x 210 !! Bigger than I realised but that’s ok! Maybe with everything you’ve got on this year, it might be a good idea to start the flag in 2025!!
Thank you Sue - its turning out to be such a fantastic year. I'm planning on showing a bit of my kitting up and thought process on my next Flosstube! Xx
Love how you brightened the colours on the button box - your colour choices are just lovely. I just love the Quaker flags - the Welsh one is particularly cool. May need to do a Scottish one for you know who 😂
Another fab Flosstube Sally, I'm very impressed with your 50 starts for 50, perhaps I should consider 40 for my 40th next year?! Although I currently have around 20 WIPs and that feels like loads, haha. Gorgeous finishes. Happy stitching! 💗
I think 40 would be very manageable and I bet if you add up your starts so far for this year you would be surprised! I knew from October of last year I was going to do it so I really worked hard on my wips and no new starts so I started 2024 with only a few wips. It has helped prevent the overwhelm. Its such good fun so I would just do it!!
Hello!! Love the button box - lucky Ros. It’s fun to watch all your starts … no way could I come with that many WIPS! I know you are finishing some but I think it would be fun next year to see how long it takes until you have finished all 50!! Or is that the target for 60? 🤣🤣
Thank you Fiona! I think Ros liked it too thank goodness! I'm on about 14 wips now and I know I'll end up with a higher number than that as I do some bigger projects. I'm not going to stress about it. I am sure next year I'll want some new starts still but sure I will also be determined to finish a few older wips. All fun at the end of the day 😆 Happy Stitching 🧵🪡
Oh friend, you are doing amazing stitching! I'm so inspired by the box! (And all of your stitching really 🙂 I'm still working on fabric for spring quaker. I really want to do pinks on the exterior. So I'll be stitching along, instead of starting along. Didn't work on winter snow this time. Was finishing up the last mini masterpiece. But will definitely get winter snow worked on soon. Love stitching with you!

So much eye candy here…I love your colour choices for the button box. Vivster…her tiles each have over 600 stitches. I am doing the Quaker flag on white 36 count linen and it looks fabulous so I think your plan will work very nicely. How many hours do you usually stitch each week in order to get all of these wonderful projects progressing?
Thank you Karen - I really enjoyed stitching the Button Box! I usually manage to stitch at least 3 hours a day - usually in the evening watching TV. I do try and fit in 10 minutes here and there though before or after work if I can. Happy Stitching 🪡🧵
