I've watched hundreds of comparison videos and in this one, they all sound the same to me. Your sound is too dirty and the playing style is too limiting. Clean sounds are definitive, but the gain tone is just too soaked. Maybe you should've included some medium gain, traditional metal or thrash style playing to highlight the actual differences in the pickups. You can probably hear it yourself, but anyone here who says they can hear the difference is probably lying.

Great guitars, I really like the Regius. Comfortable, good resonance, good craftsmanship and setup. I also have some comparable instruments from Jackson, ESP, Kiesel, etc. I'd say my one quibble with the Mayones is the lack of graphite reinforcement rods. Other brands have these, even the recent Chinese Jackson line. They make a big different in stability and I'd take a thicker neck with the graphite anyday.

I have a T/OR in black. Can't say enough about the guitar. This is not the first time I've heard a 060 owner talk about the acoustic sound, which I find interesting because my T/O is very quiet acousticly. That acoustic quietness does not seem to matter much when amplified as it sounds killer. It's hard to explain what the Arium sounds like but I like to think it's sound like a well balanced EQ setting.

In my honest opinion the OKW's sound the best. Especially for the price. I've never used Kontakt but I've really been considering Metal or Architects.

It’s funny, I prefer different pickups depending on the riff/style. 2 and 4 really stand out to me overall, but the cleans on 3 and clarity when driven on 1 are excellent. The PRS you’ve got Omega’s in is absolutely stunning by the way!

Just did a quick watch on my phone and boy initially they all sounded the same, but clean sound do differ them as do the full overdriven chords. And finally JB was that familiar sound in a mix. I am sure more nuances will be revealed when I give it a second go with headphones, but just wanted to share my first impression.

Black Winter sounds like arse - just the way trve black metallers like it. The rest sound highly usable. Thank you for including chords.

Nazgûl, hands off, sounds amazing here. The next comes the JB, the others are imbalanced in the mids and become boxy or tiny.

Your videos are very informative. Have you ever thought about explaining how to produce music from scratch? Your demos are great sounding.

Great comparison and video, thanks for doing this. I was surprised by the Nazguls, I didn’t expect to like them so much. I loved them and the good old JB. The only difference I picked up especially in the mix is slightly more highs in the Nazgûl and slightly more mids in the JB.

winter imho is the best, 2nd - sh4 nazgul seems to be good, but on the 3rd reef it is completely illegible. Omega doesn't have a way to put it... punch or something, something is missing in general in any case, great content

Thank you so much for compare. Please tell me, am I right that dark matter 2 has less output than other pickups? It sounds like more clear and less buzz end. To compare with sd alpha and omega what did you like more? Also want to ask what kind of wood the guitar with installed dark matter ?

I think they all sounded great. But Nazgul black Winter and even the JB kicked ass.

I've loved the "In Your Face and Further" IR in my own mixes forever, but I think the Cali Cab (which I've also used before) sounds best here. Great job!

The Nazgul absolutely blows my mind. Its like a JB but more tight and percussive. I have prs se custom 24, the 85/15s are great but the bridge is lacking. Its to paf style, to fluffy and loose. Bought myself a nazgul/sentient with discount for 236 euros. I think im going to be really happy with this upgrade.

How is this comparing pickups if they are all in different guitars? This is lazyness. In order for these to be compared, they need to all be in the same guitar with the same riff played, same amp settings. Check out Mike stamper. He does amazing comparisons. And there's literally probably over a thousand pick up comparisons.

for me Pandemonium and Imperium the best balanced Sound.

4 is the only one sounds different, nice low cut

Would have been nice if we could hear the drums for the guitars. Sort of ruins the point of a drum demo when the guitars are twice as loud as the rest of the mix.

I feel like they all sound very similar. Not a bad thing, I just don't hear a lot of standout difference.

Nice review.... But don't forget one of the best combination (imho) = dimarzio air Norton + dimarzio tone zone....

Thanks for this!! I've been faced with the choice of installing these models in a custom build. I've used JB's in the past and loved them, but from what I'm hearing, I'm liking the BW's or Nazgul's better. they just have a certain mid sizzle that the JB's don't have, especially the BW's, where the Nazgul seems a bit more dry or controlled. For me I think the Nazgul would fit good for a Rhythm played guitar, definitely suited for d'jent or chugging or just riffing. Where as the Black Winters would probably be nice for a mean lead tone.......... Just what I'm hearing anyway.
