Thanks for your video. There just can't be enough Fame demonstration and promotion out there. I've bought my Fame Forum IV 20th anniversary edition last year. It's a stunner! I also own a USA made PRS, a USA made Gibson, and a USA made Fender. The Fame is equal to the any of these even the PRS which costs three times as much. Since the Fame is made in Europe and looks killer you can't even argue with higher labor costs or environmental regulations. The bass guitars are also top notch in terms of pricing, quality, and sound. To everyone who's looking for a great guitar that is made in Europe: Go get it! You will love it. 🎸

Fully agree to everything you wrote and, dependent on the money you want to spend for a new guitar, I can fully recommend both the Forum IV as well as the top of the line Forum Custom guitars!

The brand itself belongs to Musicstore in Germany but it was originally founded in cooperation with Mayones and they still build the top-of-the-line Custom models. If you have the chance you definitely should try them, they are on the same quality level as the original branded Mayones guitars 🎸🤘
Hi! First of all, your reviews on gear are very well done! I‘ve got a question regarding the necks of the Fame guitars. On the website musicstore it seems like they‘ve got a gloss finish. Am i right? And if so, is it distracting in comparison to the Mayones?
Hi Martin, first of all thanks allot for your fantastic feedback, happy you like my reviews here :). You're right, the Forum Customs have a gloss finish, also on the neck. It feels to me that they use the same gloss finish in the factory like on the original Mayones guitars. My Regius with gloss finish feels exactly the same as my Forum Custom guitars. Like I mentioned in my video, the build quality on the Fame Customs is 99% on the same level as the original Mayones guitars.
two question, since you seem to own both a forum classic (without the piezo system) and a custom (which does): 1. Is the lack of a a tone control nob on the custom something that you miss compared to the classic in a everyday guitar, or rather is it noticeable? 2. How much value do you think one gets from the piezo system as an amateur, if one doesn't gig or record stuff?

Before answering these one general thing, the Forum Custom of course is a higher grade instrument which is absolutely top notch and from its build quality in another league. Coming to your questions, both depend on your need and potentially which type of music you want to make/play. Do you want an acoustic type of sound without changing guitars a piezo can be a fun thing to have. Personally I neither need a piezo not a tone control for the type of music I do so both is an extra but if you feel you need the typical sound of these you shouldnt make any compromize.
The Mayones sounded the best to me, has the most bite imo. Great tone overall very nice mix! Ich weiß gar nicht warum ich auf englisch schreibe haha, welcher Preset ist das auf Gojira, falls dein eigener könntest du die Datei sharen? Der Ton ist mega!

Hi Moises, the Fame Customs are fantastic build instruments which are made at the Mayones factory under the same standards as the original guitars. I agree that the resale value might not be as great as on a PRS or Mayones, but you will get an instrument which is quality wise on the same level as these two and surely better than any Gibson 😉
Thank you for comparing, I am trying to decide between PRS se line or Forum IV classic, what do you think is the better guitar? Also how is the neck, I don’t like it too thin, l like it a bit more like PRS regular pattern.
Thanks for your great feedback and your question. If I would have to decide between either a PRS SE or a Forum IV classic I would go for the Forum most likely. They are both great instruments which you will enjoy allot and were you can make professional music with. But the Forum has a proper carve top made from a solid curly maple billet, the PRS SE is only a plain maple top with a flame maple veneer and with a simple carving. Regarding the neck, the classic has a thicker neck than eg the Fame modern, imo compareable from its thickness to a PRS regular.
Hi SP, I unfortunately never had the chance to try a S2 and so cant tell the difference to the Fame. Here in Europe the S2 is double the price a Fame is which might be something to consider.
Very nice looking guitars...but they look like oieces of art which are too nice for using on the road. I remember seeing the 1st million martin acoustic guitar. Its an investment instead of a guitar to use. Some of the gibson lp are going that way too...although it is a beautifull guitar but...unless you are loaded with money it is not a guitar for the working musician

Do You know something about the serial numbers? I bought a custom second hand, but I don't know what Year it was made.
Congrats to your new Custom! Hope you like it as much as I do mine :D!? The first two digits on the serial should be the year it was made.
