- Sound comparison and run through of the different stock presets within the GGD OKW:Architects and MixWave Gojira drum libraries. All drum sounds are without any additional mixing.

A little hard to over the loudness of guitars at points but I think preset wise the mixwave cuts through out of the box better than okw
Agree, the MixWave cuts through extremely well, actually it is in my opinion the drum library which is the most clearest and wide sounding out of the box I have heard so far. The OKD is great as well but maybe a bit too dark / low frequencies heavy for my taste, something which I would manually change/fix
Loving the Gojira one in this take😍😍
Was pretty impressed with its out-of-the-box sound. Can tell anything on how versatile it is yet but it`s maybe the best ready to go drum kit sound I heard so far.
Would have been nice if we could hear the drums for the guitars. Sort of ruins the point of a drum demo when the guitars are twice as loud as the rest of the mix.
I just love the "Thump" that the Gojira kit has in the kickdrum. And tom's just...I dont know I guess it's just my taste :D I gotta buy that Gojira Mixwave shit to smash with my Roland TD-17KVX
You have a great taste Querque :D and imo you can't go wrong with the Gojira kit. For me it's the best out-of-the-box sounding drum kit I have heard so far and even without any mixing comes fairly close to my favorite highly-processed SD3 drum sound

both sound good, however ggd looks like more body! I use the ggd metal, it’s a damn good option as well

Thanks allot for your comment Douglas! Agree, the Architects kit is a bit less present in the highs but on the other side has more body than e.g. the Gojira kit here or the GGD Metal. I personally prefer it a bit more airy like the two latter but the Architects surely adds something which I didnt had before :)
Cant really compare in mix if ggd is not as loud as mixwave
It both has the same loudness. Unfortunately Architects is pretty bass heavy and doesnt cut through as well as e.g. Gojira or as GGD:Metal without additional tweaking/EQing.
I have both and Gojira just cuts better. Architects is no for me
@@Jimmy_Z Agree, for my type of music Gojira does better as well. The Architects might still be an interesting option to use in certain situation.

Thanks for your feedback Arturo. The Gojira drums for me are the best out-of-the-box mix-ready sounding drums for modern Metal I heard so far 😊. I only heard some examples of the Thomas Pringen but couldnt try them myself yet. From what I've heard they sound great as well but the Gojira probably still better for what I'm after.
What I want to try soon are the Luke Holland and compare e.g. with the Gojira. They sound very interesting to me, only need to wait for a sale to pull the trigger ;)

mixwave much more better to me. (Why mono guitar in this video?)
Feel exactly the same. At least for my sound and songs the Gojira kit fits better in the mix without any additional tweaking. Guitars are one hard-panned to right and one to left :)
