- Easy VS Superior, comparing the out of the box Metal sounds from EZdrummer 3 and AmpKnob RevC against my fully mixed Superior Drummer 3 and Neural DSP Gojira / Fortin NTS sounds. How will the easy to find drum and guitar sounds compete against my fav sounds I usually use.
In EZdrummer 3 I selected a suitable Metal sound which I liked most (Patch Millenium Metal) and in Superior Drummer 3 I used the Death & Darkness sound expansion pack combined with some additional samples.

Cool test but surely using either the core library in SD3 or Death Metal EZX in ED3 would have made the ball park a little closer. I think both have sides have winning attributes it just depends on what you’re trying to accomplish and your skill set to do it.
Thanks for your feedback Gary and happy you like the comparison. The comparison was by purpose like this as I wanted to show my "usual" fully mixed sound which is with the SD3 Death&Darkness and the Neural DSP Amp sims compared to the new EZDrummer 3 & AmpKnob sound. Of course there are other EZDrummer sound expansions which might sound even closer (and also run on EZdrummer 2) but I wanted to focus on the new sounds of EZD 3 here.

Very cool test but ampknob is supposed to be mix ready guitar tone . When you post eq it , then this video is completely useless . Cause we didn’t hear the ampknob as it sounds , and supposed to be mix ready but your taste of equing a guitar tone in an already mix ready tone made by a professional ….
Thanks for your comment Aris! I hear what you are saying but see it actually pretty different and Ampknob is meant to be used exactly like in my video as a ready to go sound without thousands of options in the Plugin but which you adjust afterwards to your liking. Everyone will use some EQing in the end to more or less adjust the sound to the individual need. Especially when you hear all the official sound examples on their webpage you can believe me if I tell you that allot(!) of post processing was happening there to get the different voicings (way more than this little EQ I did which actually just added some highs).
