This Trail Is A Gem! Memorial Park - Red Wing, MN
Making a return to Memorial Park in Red Wing, MN. If we're talking trail systems within a hour of the metro this is one of my favorites for sure. I've ridden this trail a decent amount of times but it had been 4 years since my last visit and it was even better than I remembered! It was extra rad to have local rider Bryan Mitchell to follow. He lives a mile from here and rides it all the time and for good reason, it kind of has it all. Flowy singletrack, steep descents and climbs with rocks and roots, cool views up on the bluffs and of course the rippin' DH line! I have a video of just the DH line in the ShRed Wing playlist if you wanna check that out.
Doing the entire trail is about 12 miles but feels like more, it's pretty demanding. If you haven't ridden here yet I highly suggest giving it a rip, it's a good one.

Bike park season has arrived! Jess and I are out at Spirit Mountain in Duluth, MN on opening weekend. We are both riding the Specialized Status 160 and loving it. Out at the new tech trail at Theodore Wirth in Golden Valley, MN with Jeremy from Dialed In! This trail was built fall of 2023 by Zenith Trail Contracting and is located in the North Loop. It's rated a black diamond but everything is rollable. Pretty short loop but offers a lot of punch and is super easy to loop and session. Overall I thought it was pretty fun and we did probably 5 loops on it....

Underrated AF trail system and where I learned to ride! Hard shred of all the good stuff here, learned new locals lines from this even though I was a local for awhile! I'm submitting 10:59 to the city of Red Wing's tourism department 😆

@@Dialed1 oh yeah they rerouted like 5 years ago. After the 3 big jumps it kept going all the way down for the road and then you’d have to hike a bike back up. It was pretty sick
@@Dialed1 Yeah that was the newer reworked DH we rode in 2021. Heard great things about the old DH trail but I didn’t ride MTB back then. Nick Ice has some vintage footage of the old trail

@@ridindirt Short stop in Minneapolis, then heading out to the PNW & West Coast later this month. I think that Inver Grove was only 45 min or so from Red Wing
I just was here last week and hit all the trails and for the first time hit the first of the three big jumps. I love this place definitely a place to go if you live nearby.

Jess did. I bought a complete used from a buddy for an insane deal. I switched out all the components and then Jess bought the frame and used the parts from mine to build it up. We both love the bike.

That rider went for the bigger side hit on smorgasbord instead of the usual 10 foot overshoot on the smaller straight on jump, I’ve never attempted that side hit. J was crushing it and hope she heals up soon, broken bones are no fun…

Nice ride until.... yeah bro life caught up to me and had my right wrist fused in September from a surgery 2 years ago that was worth the try but failed. Neuropathy in my left leg, from an old injury, exploded and got me put in Mayo for another major surgery. Sporting a cain at this point and hoping to just roll around the parking lot at this point!! Good riding brother, hope Jgirl recovers quick as possible.

You are correct! There’s a new wooden start ramp and a new black diamond tech trail. The trail isn’t quite done yet though. There’s some more jumplines in the dirt jump zone as well
I've tried many times to contact these people... they do not respond at all. I've not looked much this year, but a friendly response would be nice. I got nothing! @ridindirt I contacted him threw website both times. Never done Instagram. I'll try again but I'm not sure either which ones better. I know it was weekends only for a bit but I work weekends so I'd need it to be thursday or Friday for sure. As far asthe UA-cam it just feels like all the big UA-camrs are there the day of or before with exclusive, like people are selected to get exclusive on things... it's just observation I guess but I've been at a few opens and not seen this but I think some glory it up if that makes sense. I enjoy what I ride and film, no mistake but felt lately like there is almost a cult-like approach to the videos I see... probably take too long to explain other than that. Thanks anyways for info!!
@@elderraven8804 I think he’s actually more responsive on Instagram and that’s were he posts with updates and info for dig times. As far as people getting exclusive access, I get access because I helped build the place and am buddies with the owner. The other people getting access while it’s not officially open are there a lot volunteering. There’s a big crew of people how help dig a bunch and get perks because of it. But all people are welcome to volunteer. I guess unfortunately if you’re not on Instagram you probably won’t know when dig days and times are.
looks wack... miswell just bike down a dirt road. barely any natural features and the paths are all about green level. only somewhat cool thing is the skinny, and its not even skinny..... its just 500' off the ground so if anyone DOES go off it... have fun in your wheelchair. dirt jumps look great, rest looks like it was built by some geek riding a pivot who didnt want to scratch his bike.
