Getting Sketchy In The Slop On One Of Asheville's Best DH Trails! Kitsuma

Ridin' Kitsuma in this one with my buddy Bill! This trail sick with it's raw janky flow. You could really fly on this trail but it was pretty muddy in sections so we had to take it some what easy. It's located just 30 or so minutes east of Asheville, NC. What's cool about this trail is that it's right off of I40 and can be easily shuttled. And shuttled it we did. Bill and I met at the bottom lot, jumped in my truck and went to the top. If you want to just pedal it I believe there's a nice bike trail to the top to climb and it's about 4 or 5 miles. But even with shuttling to the top there is a decent climb to start. From the top lot to the bottom lot it was almost 5 miles. Lots of rad descending packed in there though. For sure go hit this gem if in the area.

Watched twice. So jealous. I picked up two marin Eldridge a month ago and still haven't been able to ride so much snow in MN third snowiest in history 😢. Can't wait to get out. Thanks for sharing this with us.

For sure. Here in MN they crack down on riding to soon. Don't want all there work torn up when it's muddy. I get it but it sucks.

Damn shoulda went all the way to the top and bombed the chute, interesting to see the go around I’ve only ridden the chute. It’s my fav trail locally

SICK!!! Sucks it was so sloppy, but shuttling was the right move. I went last year and parked at the top and barely made it back to the car 😂

Haha damn! Yeah that would be a lot after riding. I still think I would do it that way though. Have more energy for the down and just suffer more on the way up

Big Ol’ slop fest! Nice elevation loss here. I think this was prepping you for Ponca yet with mud being the challenge over the loose rock. Gotta get out here at some point.
