Hi Mitch. I'm staying at the Westin in Singapore next October for 5 nights. Thanks for the info about the market behind the Westin. Then, we head to Bali for 10 nights and stay at 2 Hyatt properties. Then, head to Thailand for 4 months. I have a few Hyatt, IHG, and Marriott properties booked. I will have to check out the Renaissance Bangkok. Thanks.

Thank you for sharing! its always nicer to learn form other's mistakes. My biggest loss this year is mistakenly getting the Ink premier as opposed to the Ink preferred. I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to turn that into a win. My biggest win is getting my Punta Cana trip for me and my P2 virtually free, receiving a seat upgrade on the flight down and getting to go through the premier access line at the TSA line. I'm not exactly sure how I received the perks but it definitely got me a gold star and a big smile from my hesitant P2.

I absolutely loved this video and can't wait to plan a trip to stay at Andaz Bali. Andaz is one of my favorite Hyatt brands! If I were to visit solo, do you think I’d find it boring? If I were to replicate your trip, how many days would you recommend staying at Andaz? Could I use the same tour guide? Also, are you traveling with your own drone? Thanks for sharing!

I thought i knew everything abt Amex Gold, but the $10 postmates is new to me. Normally I just buy $10gc, collect them all and take a friend for a meal. Glad to see alternatives. But im planning tonlet this card go also. Will keep for P2 and become AU ( thx miguel for that transfer tip).

biggest win: AF business class, LAX to NCE via CDG, round trip and experiencing their amazing new lounge at TB terminal. Transferred Amex 100k to flying blue. Biggest loss, applied for Barclays AA aviator red card for 60k miles plus 20k for AU making a purchase. Got the 60k but missed the 20k. Called an agent said the link I used didn't have the 20k additional miles. However agent still gave me 10k as a courtesy.

Very much relate to you all in this video. Im LOL/24, hadnt applied for any personal cards in yr ( painful) , trying to hit <5/24 in Jan 2026 so i can finally apply back to chase after 7yrs in jail since 2019. That said, I grabbed a Barclays Aviator which will push me a back a notch, but i value 70k AA because i think in terms of Etihad apartments 62.5K. Oh, Im doing a marathon, watching all the LGTTP videos, via Miguel recomendations. Watched 10 yesterday :) ... surely i must deserve a sweatshirt for being a #1 fan for Dec ? .... fine ill pay :) Hook me up!

So glad, im aware of each of the tools , ana, qatar, lufstanza, delta for finding award, now i know to use the filyer. Love the fact u can broad search eg from usa to. europe or specific region, filter search seat, cabin, airline. I had this tool for a yr, but clearly not using to best abilities. Looking fwd to adding 5k alerts 😂

Will be there end of June for Monkey’s dance competition if you guys are debating that date 😉 Loss: not transferring a single point to Hawaiian when it was the 30% bonus from Amex. It was too risky imo and then of course immediately those Hawaiian transferred to Alaska 😂 and now I transferred without the 30% bonus before Hawaiian is taken off as partner. Wins: honestly, I feel like I’m winning all the time with the points and miles game. Traveled to 14 countries in 2024 and will end 2024 with a 15th country. 15th country is influenced by your recent CDMX episode and flights and hotel booked on points for a last minute getaway 🥰

Churchill Regency London with Globalist: A la carte Breakfast - superb, Club Lounge snacks all day , and Club Lounge Happy Hour 5-8 everyday. Park Hyatt Siem Reap 12K/ night - Fabulous deal , Phnom Penh Regency - really beautiful property, Good size suite 8K, Another Fav Ho Chi Min City Saigon 20K - Great breakfast, beautiful property in city center., Also big fan Andaz London, & Singapore. Really looking forward to exploring some of these that you have suggested like Bangkok, Costa Rica and the alila's

Since all except Nicole are beyond 5/24, how do you manage to stay at Park Hyatts and maintain Globalist status? I know Mitch did a mattress run at the Rio. Do you do something like that annually or do you usually earn status organically?

Delta F*&^king sucks now!!! I’ve been a Diamond Medallion from the beginning and have kept status. They do not give a FLYING F about their customers nor are they willing to improve. It’s all about the money for Delta!! I’m now a free agent, and I have found American is the best deal now! I’m no longer a Delta loyalist even though I’m still a Diamond.

Biggest win - Lifemiles Lufthansa first class mistake upgrade.. So I had SFO - FRA - DEL - PNQ booked with SFO - FRA in UA economy and FRA - DEL in LH first class and DEL - PNQ in economy with Air India. All in for $950 cash (after buying points). FRA - DEL had a change in aircraft 1 day before (but in reality, just a few hours before my SFO - FRA flight!) , and they bumped me into business class. They apologize after I call them to find out more because it looked like I had no ticket at all few hours before departure. Now they want to put me back on lufthansa first class but change my routing to SFO - MUC - DEL - PNQ. I said I am cool with that for no extra charge. When I go to checkin I see I am on United Polaris for SFO - MUC. HUH! Big win and as a bonus I am also upgraded for my DEL - PNQ flight with Air India in business class. For this reason (and many more) Lifemiles will have a special place in my heart. haha!

OMG...you guys are true influencers! I hate AA, but you all convinced me to apply for this Barclay's card; which I just did and got approved for (70K SUB). I watched the AA episode, but since I was never planning on flying AA again (horrible experience in January of this year), I didn't really pay attention. Now, I'm going to go back and watch that episode again to figure out how to use those miles on a partner airline. 😉😂 I had a GREAT time at the meetup! I was so happy to finally meet Miguel and Nicole in person, and make new friends with other miles and points "hobbyist". My 1st points redemption was this year for 2 business class flights from JFK-LIS in June 2025. The redemption was 70K miles and $90 USD per tkt. We are flying Singapore Air Lines JFK-FRA, then TAP Air lines FRA-LIS. This will be my first time on Singapore Air. My second redemption was flying business class on Copa Air back to Ecuador from the meetup for 60.5K miles and $16.85. I paid $767 cash to fly business class to the meetup, but being able to use points to fly business class back to Ecuador was a win! I know this is a long post, but I'm a single person, no P2, new to miles and points and in just over a year I've managed to enjoy business class flights and free hotel stays that I wouldn't have been able to experience without guidance and help from the LGTTP Dream Team! 🫶🏾 I can't wait for ELEVATE to launch so I can learn more! Meetup suggestions... Phoenix, AZ in March 2025. I'm planning to be there in March. The weather will be great and there are some nice hotels too. Vegas in March would work too. I'd be interested in the whole mattress run challenge! I haven't booked anything yet, but if you decide on either, please let me know so I can start planning. 😘✈️

We just started digging into points and miles last April, but my kids will be going on their first flight for spring break! I also have a trip to Big Sur for our 20th wedding anniversary in June! We would have NEVER booked these without points and miles! 🫶🏼🫶🏼

Do you guys have a referral for the Barclays Aviator Red Card 70k offer? All I’m seeing is 60k thanks in advance!

My absolute biggest mistake and biggest regret is not realizing the welcome offers with Amex cards are much bigger than the default. I basically got all the base level SUBs only (40K Green, 60K Gold, 80K Plat). Womp. But on the other spectrum, got decent and great SUBs with the CSR 75K, P2 CSP 70K + $300 Credit, P2 Venture 75K + $250, P2 Venture X 75K, Hilton Biz 175K, Surpass 165K, Marriot Biz 3 FNAs, WF AJ 60K, and some others. Overall pretty satisfied, we're using these for trips in 2025.

I'd love to hear how Serena stayed at the Waldorf Astoria for less than $200 when I hear the 20 minute flight to the hotel island is about $700 roundtrip. This hotel feels like the Maldives experience of high final transfer fees to the hotels. We are currently hunting for where to use our 5 Hilton Certificates next year. Currently, we are considering the new Waldorf in Costa Rica that opens up in May. It's a quick point cheap flight to experience a high-end tropical Waldorf. The other contender is the SLH Grand Hotel Victoria in Lake Como. Would love to hear people's thoughts on other Hilton great experiences we should consider!

Thank you guys so much on the advice! We applied the Aviator Red without having a trip planned. After we acquired the miles, our grandma in China was admitted to the hospital. We were able to book an economy round trip to China with those miles within a day for our dad who flew back to look after her. That had saved us more than $1000. We are glad she is fine now. 😊

Win - going to Europe twice in one year, both my first international redemptions. Loss - booking United through Avianca EDI->RDU, and having the taxes and fees jump up about $200 after transferring points. Ah well. Still a great trip.
