I just watched this twice before pressing the booking button for the non-refundable flight ticket. Mexico City for Día de los Muertos sounds like an incredible experience. I can’t wait to be there.
I love Mexico City. It is vastly underrated. There is so much to do, eat, and experience. I have stayed in HR and Andaz Condesa, and I loved both. You get to experience two distinct neighborhoods in MEX. I know you guys are only there for a weekend, but I recommend Taqueria Orinoco in Colonia Roma. They open very late at night - it's inexpensive and so good. Better than Pujol and Quintonil, haha! I can't wait for the Dias De Los Muertos episode - it's been on my bucket list, too!
We will add that taqueria to our list! We looked up the pricing for Pujol and Quintonil and the pricing has gone way up over the last few years. We think we'll stick with the great value taquerias! We're looking forward to explore during Dia de Los Muertos!
I'm planning to head there around next March, so it was good to hear the different takes about the hotels and such. I'm even more excited about going now.

Me gusta la ciudad de México. Go to Xochimilco and get the Pistachio Mescal…it’s soo good..love the chocolate and Food there. I was there for a few months.

MEX routes to look out for: decent availability for LH F, AF/KLM J, TK J (also out of CUN), BA F for 85K off peak, 1 J seat on ANA MEX-NRT, 3x daily flights on Iberia to MAD with new business class (Usually 2 J seats per flight), and the often forgotten emirates 5th freedom MEX-BCN for 120k roundtrip (saver level). oh my goodness, Dias de los muertos has an amazing parade which starts in the park and you can view the floats before the parade…it’s so worth it
