I love the content from the 4 of you! Great personality mix and banter. One point that seems to be overlooked: Resy restaurants are in so many places..small cities in the US, all the big ones, countries like Portugal, Spain, Italy, Japan and others. This credit is a great addition for a food card!
Thank you for watching! Yes, you can have all of those cards. But to get the welcome offer for each of the green, gold, and platinum cards, you would have to apply in that order.
Hi Susan. It will not affect the order. For right now, the Hilton cards do not have family language so you can get them in any order among the Hilton or Amex family of cards.
I thought i knew everything abt Amex Gold, but the $10 postmates is new to me. Normally I just buy $10gc, collect them all and take a friend for a meal. Glad to see alternatives. But im planning tonlet this card go also. Will keep for P2 and become AU ( thx miguel for that transfer tip).
happy friYAY!!! Thanks for keeping me company on my weekly drive 120 mile drive (one-way). Thanks for sharing all your wisdom on this card. 😊 Amex Gold is 🤦🏽♀️
I listen to your show every week. You all have great chemistry and useful information. Can I open a Blue Business Plus to keep my MR points and then close the Gold card? Are you able to connect the MR accounts, or is it one account if you're a sole proprietor? Trying to ditch the coupon book. :(
Hi Pink Mochi! Thank you for being a loyal viewer! You can open the Blue Business Plus and it will keep MR points alive across both personal and biz cards. It should automatically get combined into one MR account. We don't blame you for ditching the coupon book!
You guys are great. The production value is amazing. I was approved for 3 personal cards and a business card last week. Is the 2/90 rule just for Amex? I only got one Amex card.
Thank you for watching! We put a lot of heart and energy into our show so we appreciate it when viewers like you notice. Every bank has their own rules. 2/90 in this case is specific to Amex credit cards. Congrats on all of your approvals! 🥳
Marriott Bonvoy Benefits: Please be aware that special conditions apply to Marriott Vacation Club properties participating in Marriott Bonvoy. The following are some of the Marriott Bonvoy benefits that are NOT offered during your stay: · Early check-in · Late check-out · Complimentary room upgrades · Complimentary breakfast Never seen this before in an email prior to a stay. Thinking of shifting to Hyatt from now on too many rules with Marriott.
Great episode, i heard about the equinox credit but i want to hear more about if people had no problems with it. Mitch I’m crying laughing at the cheese cake. We need video of her saying it
That Amex gold card to keep is tricky. I think I’m keeping another year with the new annual fee just because there are targeted Amex offers and I’ve noticed personal cards sometimes get other offers the business cards do not get. Those Amex offers could be quite some savings! Though I do agree I am tired of the different credits. I have reminders that are set on weekly / monthly repeats to use the various credits 😊
The helicopter medivac would actually be useful for me and my family. We live in a small town, and although there is a small hospital, it cannot support anyone with an MI needing a heart catheterization, no neurology, and no trauma. The closest level I trauma is 1.5 hours away by car, 20 minutes by helicopter. Patients are often transported via helicopter.
This is so interesting. Some credit card benefits have a requirement of you being a certain number of miles away from home so we're not sure if it would cover a medivac from your home town. Check into the benefits guide of your cards and if it's not included, you might want to consider supplemental insurance. Let us know what you find!
Another great and timely episode! Just started this year and trying to decide whether to pursue AMEX or Cap1 after Chase. I had read somewhere that you can’t combine AMEX points with family members but it sounds like you have a way around that? If I pursue AMEX first, will I have trouble applying for the C1VX later? Does banking with them help my chances of getting approved for a card? Thanks for sharing your expertise!
You have so many great questions! We would love for you to submit them in video format to us so we can give you thorough answers. You cannot combine Amex points with family members. But you CAN transfer points to a family member's loyalty account IF they are an authorized user on your card. We recommend going with C1VX first.
@@LetsGetToThePoints thank you for the response. I have so many questions since I’m such a beginner and try to do some of my own research where I can but your experience and expertise are invaluable. I’m afraid I have zero video-making skills so I wouldn’t even know where to begin in terms of submitting a question in video format.
the coupons are getting very annoying. my AF is going to post at the end of this month. wondering if people are getting retention offers since so many people are so upset by these changes
Great option! One would have to weigh 4x dining/groceries, higher annual fee, and credits vs 3x dining/travel and lower annual fee to calculate the breakeven point relative to spend.
I was applying for the Amex business platinum and first thing I did was go to your affiliate credit card page but it was hard to find the “apply button” is it just me? But anyway, I was offered a whopping 250k! Is that usual?
Hi and thank you for going to our affiliate link. Can you email us at letsgettothepoints@gmail.com to explain the difficulty? There is a Learn How to Apply button which should lead you to the right place. We would love to know if you're seeing something else. 250k is the highest offer for the Business Platinum. Congratulations! This is definitely NOT usual and we recommend going for it. Our Friday newsletter this morning posted the high offers out there right now for these cards. Please subscribe!
@@LetsGetToThePoints ok will do! Thank you As soon as I meet the minimum spend on this card I will go back to your affiliate links for my next card. You guys have inspired me so much. Thank you
This episode was just what I needed to figure out how to use the amex credits. I got the amex Gold last year and was all set to cancel it when my renewal came last month, but I decided to keep it another year because I was able to renew it for the old rate of $250 and I will be doing a lot of traveling over the next 9 months. Those darn credits are a pain in the A$$ and since I'm spending most of my time outside the USA and where I live is pretty much a cash society, I basically can only use the card at restaurants. I did reach out to see about getting a retention offer, but no go. A week ago I got a targeted offer for the Blue Cash Preferred Card. The offer is for a $300 statement credit with a $3k spend in 6 months, 0% annual fee for the first year and 0% APR for balance transfers for 12 months (this one really has no value to me because I pay my card off every month). Should I take it? I'm kinda thinking about waiting until I fill my last spot with a Chase card because I'm at 4/24.

Thank you for watching! Great tip on the Resy credit. We'll be sure to look at those options when we're traveling!
Thanks for another fun and interesting episode!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Congrats on 3k subs! 🎉 I’m excited to see that number go up faster and faster
Thanks so much!! We appreciate you!

Have a great flight today and thanks for bringing us along with you!
Downgrading my Gold to Green. I use AMEX mainly for overseas travel and Green covers that well while saving $175 in yearly fee's.
Great thought process and that's a nice savings!
My trifecta includes the Gold, Platinum, & Blue Business Plus 😊
Awesome trifecta especially with getting at least 2x on everything! 🥳
I loved the show. I do have a question about the hotel-sponsored cards. Could you carry a green/gold/platinum and a Hilton Amex?
Thank you for watching! Yes, you can have all of those cards. But to get the welcome offer for each of the green, gold, and platinum cards, you would have to apply in that order.
@@LetsGetToThePoints I'd like to add the Hilton Aspire card. Does this affect the order? Thanks!
