Southwest Companion Pass served us well when my son had travel basketball. Southwest has since left EWR, so since then, didn’t chase SCP anymore. Same with you guys, I’ve never gotten around to use my Alaska Companion pass, just the SUB. I did forward episode to my kids, who can take advantage of the Southwest companion pass. For now, I’m with Mitch, will pass on Southwest 😂
Calculate the value of the free flight and see if it’s worth spending on the cards to the get the companion pass vs using that spend toward other more lucrative welcome bonuses.
You guys are hilarious! And the middle seat southwest fake argument!!! Wow. I did the companion pass twice. Once pre kid and once post kid. It’s nice if fly domestically more. All the international destinations in the Caribbean, etc. is hard to get to from the west coast. Also, any issues like southwest meltdown time, and they can’t rebook you on anything else since they’re on their own and no agreements with others. 😢
Thanks for the great summary on companion passes. I’m curious if Nicole is the only one who works to stay under 5/24 or if others do too. I assume it’s to get more Ink cards. How far can you stretch that?
This would be a great Ask Us question as it involves a response from each of us. Each of our responses will be different and it would be too long to write here. Feel free to email us for submission instructions!
Since I don't have Southwest out of my airport, Alaska is the best. And I have used the companion pass
Great to know! What is your home airport? We're curious if it's in the PNW or a different location.
Would love to hear about Berlin, hubby wants to visit but I can't get excited about going there
Maybe Nicole should do a special edition on Berlin!

It sounds like you are very high on the hog as well, Gene! 😂
San Luis Obispo SBP
Nice!
We plan to fly to the Caribbean once a yr and maybe Florida another time so that's 1-2x a yr. Is that worth getting the cp?

My vote goes to Alaska Airlines next week.
It might be your lucky day next Friday!

Very good points! Your little monkey is a luxury world traveler and is way beyond Southwest at this point! 😊

For me it would be for positioning flights and short trips to follow my sports team.
Out of PDX
That sounds like a fun way to use your companion pass!
I'm fine!!! 😂
She is so not fine! 😂
American and Alaska are companion tickets or companion fare. They’re not passes!
Ooops, sorry. You know what we mean!
