I saw this on my way back home. This made my day. Thank you to the team for the name drops and call outs. Now for Hilton: I just finished a stay in a Curio in New Orleans (phenomenal stay). I have a Conrad stay in Singapore in two weeks and we just booked a Hilton in Hiroshima next month. My favorite stay under the Hilton flag thus far is a tie between Conrad Osaka and Waldorf Astoria (Chicago). Second favorite stay is the Waldorf Astoria (Orlando). Luxury is nice but sometimes people can’t afford it whether on points or cash. If I can afford to stay in luxury I will but I like to opt for Curio collection hotels as none are the same. I’ve stayed at Curio hotels in Houston, Portland, New Orleans, Washington D.C., etc. When Curio brands are not available Hilton is where I tend to go. As Nicole said, it is a keen to a Hyatt Regency and for the most part, provides consistency in service all the way around. We have (2) Hilton Aspire’s in our household and we love them. We get tremendous value year in and year out. Highly recommend if you spend at least 25+ nights in a Hilton a year, to get the Aspire ( i just hit 42 after this past stay. I have never tried the gift cards as I organically spend all my credits at hotels so I cannot comment on that. In our younger years, and in some recent cases when we were stateside, Embassy Suites is still a good option and provides excellent value. We last stayed in one back in late 2021 for an extended weekend in D.C. in a connected suite room with some family members; would still stay there now. Nonetheless, no one can convince me that Hilton isn’t king of the hotel/hospitality industry. It’s also not to say other hotel brands don’t deserve loyalty, I just know what I am getting every single time I step into a Hilton hotel. Great show as always and will one day get to a meetup.

@@LetsGetToThePoints sorry it took me so long to respond to this. I guess i missed the notification. Ok, so I have a lot of feelings about this one - and surprisingly to some, they are mixed. I would only go back to this property in certain limited scenarios. 1) the location is far from everything. It is at least 30 min away. the main town area is about an hour away. 2) I would go back for all the little experiences that the resort offers - there are many complimentary things to checkout: kayak, paddle boarding, access to private beach, kombucha making class (which was legit btw they really like sharing those things), coffee roasting class, a private farm tour with peacocks, rabbits, dogs, chickens, goats, tortoise and many fruits and vegetable plants (70% of the main restaurant needs come from that farm), and they also have paid jet ski which was totally worth it. 3) coming to the villa - it is huge for 2 people - the infinity pool water was slightly cold for us in november but I am told most of the year, especially in the summers it gets quite warm and nice. 4) the breakfast buffet is a great spread. you can order custom if you don't like what you see. OMG - 6 different types of yogurt, 5 different types of milk, about a dozen fresh juices, coconut water of course, mimosas, and a lot lot more. Overall very nice and luxurious, (in Mitch's voice) *HOWEVER*, if I am coming to Thailand and all the way to this island, I want to go OUT! Go scuba, checkout local cuisine and dining options, visit the temples and historic places etc. Bottom line - I would stay here for 2-3 nights and rest of the nights elsewhere closer to the town. Hope that was helpful!
I have two Aspires and a Surpass card. Love getting 3 Free Night Certificates for those high-end properties and the credits make it easy to liquidate. The Diamond status is so great overseas as well. The Aspire is easily an S-Tier card.
Great episode, I’m actually a Hilton loyalist and really enjoyed seeing this breakdown. I actually stayed at the Doubletree Residence in Miami and that was a great hotel. We had a 3 bedroom penthouse suite and it was just phenomenal.
Great episode as always! We are huge Hilton fan and have 6 apsire cards between my wife and I. We've been to WA Maldives, WA Palm Jumeriah Dubai, Conrad Osaka & Tokyo and Roku LXR Kyoto. Hilton program is definitely worth it in our book but I am biased 😊

@@Omahottie Through upgrades. We 1st opened the regular Hilton then shorlty after the Aspire. Then a year later we opened the Surpass. This year we upgraded both the regular Hilton & the Surpass to the Aspire giving each 3 of them.

So far, I haven’t had any problems using my Hilton gift cards in the US. I forgot to use the gift cards in Panama! I just stayed at a great Small Luxury Hotel brand in London called The Franklin. It was 80,000 points for one night including breakfast. The cash value was over $800 and it was definitely an elevated luxury experience! It’s located in a super quiet residential neighborhood walking distance to Harrods 🤑

Awesome episode! Good to know Hilton Mexico City does not take the Hilton GCs so I won’t count on it there. It also does not work at Hilton Maldives. I tried everything there including adding to Apple wallet to try to pay that way, various amounts. They probably thought I was crazy going back few times. 😅 Umana LXR is a property that can be considered. The villa is HUGE, bigger than my house. Private pool. Private hot tub. Also, just tried out the Hilton credit at a SLH property and it credited. Nanuku in Fiji. 🎉 Best value though is The WB Abu Dhabi, Curio Collection by Hilton, as it includes theme park tickets with your stay!!! And if you add to max occupancy even if you don’t have that many in the room, they give you those theme park tickets! I tested it out by adding an extra person.

I was upgraded to a corner suite at the WA Beverly Hills and my wife hasn’t stopped talking about it ever since! WA In Maui was ok, maybe I visited at a bad time during renovations? Will be visiting WA Cabo and I’m very excited. I only redeem my Hilton points at high end resorts, wouldn’t waste them at Hampton ins. Love hyatt too for lower/mid stays. I don’t even bother with Marriott 😆

The location is right in the heart of the historic district, right across from Porto Cathedral, the aesthetic of the hotel is artsy and unique, and the staff were so helpful in helping me find a good dinner recommendation. This was part of a stopover in Portugal, and I didn't expect to enjoy Porto so much!
I know Marriott doesn't allow transferring FNCs to others, but is that also the case with Hilton? And is it easy to mix and match FNCs across multiple reservations?
For Hilton, we haven’t been able to transfer but you can put another person’s name as a secondary guest for check in. However, this is not recommended internationally.
Love Hilton! Our favorite has been the WA Amsterdam! Completely agree with Serena. WA is my favorite brand (Conrad Maldives was exceptional too!) and prefer over Park Hyatt.
Favorite Hilton property so far: Double Tree Iguazu Falls (Brazil) I was a-bit hesitant because it was kinda pricey for one night: 180 usd, not bad but we know there are cheaper options. However I was pleasantly surprised. Checked in around 10am so we were definitely early but the check in agent, no hesitation our room was ready (no charge), PLUS we were allowed access breakfast buffet even upon arrival (no charge). So essentially two days of breakfast even if we only stayed one night. I'm a Gold from Amex and they gave a little plate of treats with an appreciation card. Love this treatment, would highly recommend to anyone visiting Iguazu Falls.

Hi! Those two properties are over an 1.5 hr drive from each other. The Waldorf is a more sprawling property whereas Oceana is a small boutique-like hotel. If you’re coming from out of town, the Waldorf might be better depending on what you’re doing in the area.
Haha Mitch, I also lived in Hilton Garden Inn in NYC for two months during the COVID! Yes, it was really cheap at that time but the breakfast was also in a bag 😂

I think I would only do it if I have infinite pts and been everywhere else.

I have some drone footage and I think its just there with Four Seasons as the best on the main Island. I think the best Hiltons are as listed, maybe less the SE Asian ones because cash rates are better value.

Possible with upgrades and no lifetime limit offers. Lots of credits to manage though. Not everyone can stomach that.

Los Cabos is an absolute gem in terms of service but very expensive food and drinks. A cappuccino at the cafe was $18

@@LetsGetToThePoints yes, 194/195 countries. i think it was too much if you haven't been to the maldives. she seems to have done all all of that before. its either 5 FNC or 600K+100K*2 unless she went by herself. for a non overthewater villa on the beach... I think I would only do it if I have infinite pts and been everywhere else.
@@LetsGetToThePoints Mango House has a great breakfast. LXR, great infinity pool and access to its own beach/pools. I have some drone footage and I think its just there with Four Seasons as the best on the main Island. I think the best Hiltons are as listed, maybe less the SE Asian ones because cash rates are better value.
