Aww thank you, it got bad very quickly, but it seems to be passing through now, just about. Sleep and water seemed to be the best thing I could do, and hot drinks! But the fresh air helped too in the sun. Thanks for watching down there in Australia 😁🙏

😂 She loved the trousers, but if she doesn't wear them, I'll be taking them right back and we'll deliver them straight to you Alison 😁 You both would adore Wales. Again, the usual UK difficulties of parking might present themselves, but I think it's a little better there than England. It's the sort of place worth forking out for a few campsite spots for ease, especially in Pembrokeshire. Scotland is much, much easier though! I think you guys do so much walking you probably don't need to worry too much about added exercise. I try to do a calisthenics routine occasionally (Adam Frater's 10 minute daily calisthenics video - but I don't do it nearly as much or as fast as him!), plus we have the running of course. We are slowly looking up different stretch exercises to do, and some weight ones (not that we've touched them since this video 🙈). Steve especially gets hip and shoulder problems, so he's trying some of those. Nothing specific but we just Google and UA-cam areas if our body we want to work on and go from there. Some you can do in the van. But to be clear, we don't always, it's very much a casual thing at the moment! Take cares guys and hope the UK is treating you as well as it can with its gloomy hands 😂❤️🤟

We did it slowly over a week I think? But honestly from Calais to Sweden was about the same as driving from the south of England to the top of Scotland, about 13 hours or so, so not as bad as it seems!

I definitely think cooked porridge is more of a thing in the UK than raw, but then it's also possible we've been living a very sheltered life 😂

Haha, no it's all fair questions and we keep meaning to address it all one day! I think we have mentioned some of them in pieces over time though. We've been together 15+ years, we met online, and our last place of residence was Dover before we embarked on living in a van. It was Stephen's idea too, and eventually I came around to it 😉 We don't have a base we park up in - when we work, we park there on site, and visiting family etc involves just parking in car parks or the side of a road, and usually staying over with them until we leave. A base of our own would be lovely but I don't think we're in a position to be able to do that and be full time in the van sadly, so it's one or the other...for now!

Okay that definitely eclipses any chip price we've seen, Steve would have a fit 😂

Hey guys, thanks for the suggestion 😊 If you've been doing it for 4 years it must be working out for you, and it does sound very appealing to be able to stay somewhere as a base for a while. It's something people have brought up with us before, along with campsite wardening. That said, we'd still need a way to earn money, so we could probably only do it very minimally, which might not leave much opportunity to travel in the van, as we are static in one place when we do our security work (currently, anyway). But the idea of having a nice place to stay awhile certainly sounds very nice, especially when you're in a small van like ours 😂

Morning Irene, wow you've moved quite a bit further south! Norfolk is beautiful, we especially enjoyed it in winter weirdly enough. The skies are unbelievable. That sounds a good deal for a campsite. A good thing too, considering how hard it is to park in Norfolk 😂 50 years of caravanning and still loads to see, that says it all doesn't it! How lovely they've been doing that for so long. It does seem like you get a buzz for life with this kind of travel. Strength training is definitely important to use some muscles as we age, that's why I wanted to balance out the running a bit, and we keep telling my mum to do some very minor lifts/stretches too to keep things functioning. I'm not sure she listens mind 😂 Hope you have a great time in Norfolk and get some decent weather up there, take care ❤️

@@comealongdear 👍 I follow exercise routines on UA-cam which. I really enjoy them “Improved health for seniors” (I’m 73) - she does such varied routines including strength training. I can really recommend them. Have a good day both of you - wherever you are, we’re just off to a vets as one of the dogs has had diarrhoea for two days and was sick this morning ☹️. Stay well ❤️❤️

Oh that's brilliant news, how exciting 😍 We remember that feeling well of getting our van, not knowing the future and just driving around to our hearts content originally (until we then quickly had to figure out work etc 😂). I assume that it has anyway, I must admit we haven't paid close attention to the weather lately, but that would explain the terrible wind and rain we found ourselves walking in yesterday I suppose 😂🙈 I hope despite this you manage to have a good time up there! Thank you so much for your encouraging words, that was very heartwarming to read, and we're just pleased if our videos bring any form of pleasure to people's lives ❤️ I think I (Dan) especially would feel a bit lost if I stopped making them! Yes the sat nav never seems to consider that a smaller road will inevitably be slower and more difficult, I have to keep a close eye out now when Stephen's driving, and I nearly always have to change it as we go. Still get caught out though, like in this video 😂 Hmm half marathon, perhaps, I think Stephen would like to eventually! Thank you again and hopefully you continue to enjoy whatever videos are to come 😁❤️

Well at least in this instance, people would think it was the wind so you'd get away with it, food for thought in future storms 😂 Glad that bit gave you a laugh 😃 watching a film cuddled up is not very practical with our current set up 😂 Have fun at Loch Ness. Morning Paul, thank you for those kind words, that's very sweet of you and I do appreciate it ❤️ Neither of us feel pressured to change much though, just a general fitness thing. The weights have gone back to sleep recently as it goes 😂🙈 Hmm, Broadstairs. I think there is a car park behind the town somewhere you might be able to fit in, or one outside of Broadstairs a little further along the coast, at Joss Bay, that allows motorhomes (I don't know how big the spaces are though). I think both are about £11 for 24 hours or a night, not sure. It is generally quite hard around this area. Because we are so small, we usually park ours in a regular car park or on the road outside my mum's if we're lucky, and stay with her a few days (not that she has the room, but she enjoys us being there and of course we love to see her). There's probably some campsite options, too. And you can easily jump on The Loop bus which runs constantly between Ramsgate/Broadstairs/Margate so you can visit all 3. The places I mentioned are on park4night, so perhaps have a look and google satellite view the areas to see what you think or if they're big enough. We were in Broadstairs yesterday, I would have checked out that car park for you if I'd known 🙂 We might drive by the Joss Bay one later, if we do I'll let you know. Morning Ilona, aaah I really wanted to go to Portmeirion, but I must admit, we were both a bit taken aback by the £20 each price, as we couldn't really work out what that got you and how much there was to see exactly. It does look very pretty though. It just seemed an awful lot. However, there is a campsite there that costs about £55 a night with all services, BUT it gets you two tickets into Portmeirion. So still a lot, but it means a campsite stay is about 15 quid, so one day we might go back and try it that way. Yes, the weather is playing its "throw random dart blindfolded" routine again, it varies a great deal. We walked with my mum into Broadstairs yesterday from Ramsgate in gale force winds and rain, so that was an experience 🙈😂 Take care and have a lovely week, hope you get some dry days ❤️
