Aww...what a bummer it rained. This area is so beautiful, vibrant and mediterranean in spring and summer, and in good weather. ;) Is your itinerary already set or are you still open for suggestions? You seemed to have really enjoyed your time in Rothenburg. There are still several other historic, quaint German towns that you might enjoy. And if you are willing to hop over the Border to France there are also some beautiful French towns in the Black Forest area.
It's such a shame, but that's the way it goes! Lake Eibsee only looked so gorgeous because the sun was out; the next day it had gone and I doubt we would've seen it in the same light. I hear you though, we've seen the photos and it's sad we didn't get to see Lindau in all its glory. Another time perhaps! Sadly our journey has reached the end (we've still a few more videos to show though!) so we can't go anywhere just yet, but we do appreciate the suggestions in regards to what we like, in particular the French side of the black forest region, we would love to see some of the towns there 😍
The places you show us are lovely, raining or not. I have to watch on full screen. Now I'm off to watch Liam and Janine in Italy. It's amazing that we can go all around the world with yoootooobers. Got to get the work while it's there. Be careful, steer clear of dodgy folks. ❤🧡💚💙💜 ilona
Thank you Ilona, steering clear of dodgy folk might be tricky, we both wake up to the same one each day 😜 Rain, heat, cold, wind, we'll moan, enjoy it and persevere in whatever manner suits at the time as we strange humans do. We do like seeing things in a different light so the bad/extreme weather can have its merits. And yes, it's quite funny how we can explore wherever we like now via the medium of youtubers, type in vanlife and any place in the world and inevitably something will crop up. We're spoilt for choice these days! Take care and thank you 🥰❤️
You’ve got it just right. Life for living so balancing work and time off is an art. You have definitely done better than we did when working. I totally get that feeling of squeezing everything into a few short weeks so getting away for a few months at a time is a winner. Lovely vlog as ever. 🤗👍
Thank you ladies, whatever happens with us and our van, we will always cherish the fact we have been able to strike a balance the last couple of years. If we wish to settle down again properly that might have to change, but this mix has given us so many opportunities to see things. Having these couple of months abroad without any other commitments has been amazing of course, but we still enjoy our little mini UK trips the rest of the year 🥰❤️ And that's what's great about your channel, casually exploring the UK from season to season - you've definitely got it just right too! ❤️
You go to some fantastic places and such lovely things to see. You will be missed whilst you are away working Sunday morning won't be the same but money is always handy for your posh cafes.😂😂😂😂. Looking forward to black forest lovely place. Don't forget the gateaux. Have a great time.❤
Thank you, we've been very fortunate to visit these places. However, don't worry, we don't intend to miss a week if we can help it - we planned it so that we film videos in advance in order to release one each Sunday while we're working, and there'll be a few UK adventures before that too 😊 It does mean we'll be out of sync with real time but hopefully we'll try to explain that between the videos 😂 Needs must though, gotta get those fish and chip pennies in 😆 Thank you again ❤️
Oh the Park4Night reviews are a constant source of amusement. We saw one for a free area with 10 hard standing spaces, free water, services and FREE electric all next to a beautiful park, yet some lovely individual gave it 1 star because and I quote "there were local ladies unnecessarily walking and chatting in the park" However Alison would love your Parkup as she really likes the sound of trains when trying to sleep. Shame about the weather, but I give you credit as it's so hard to film when it's raining. You take a shot, then have to dry the lens which I often forget and end up with unusable footage. I'm also so glad you mentioned the feelings when you get back to the van. We always enjoy the day and then start worrying all the same things as we head back. At least it's not just us. Did we miss the explanation! What is "cheus" or "juice" or whatever it was Steve said...
😂 The reviews really do verge on the ridiculous sometimes. I'm sure people just write things for a laugh. Enjoying sleeping next to trains is an interesting one! Did you used to live by a railway? While it doesn't bother us (they stopped in the night anyway) I think the fact trains are inconsistent would prevent it from being a helpful sleep noise to us. Constant, low drones, like a fan, however - bliss! 😍 The "vanxiety" is definitely real. You have no choice but to deal with it, but it never goes away. Being comfortable with a park up is all you can do really to ease things. And yeah, very much with you on the filming in the rain! It doesn't matter what device you use, it's the same thing. However, Stephen did act as my sort of personal assistant, holding the umbrella up for me to film bits if needed, which is always fun given how much shorter he is than me 😂 I guess under some circumstances, raindrops on a lens might add a certain atmosphere in a video, but I'm not sure when and it's too annoying/risky to test 😂 Ah sorry...it's Tschüss! It's a casual German word for "bye" 😁 Take care guys 🤟
You both make my heart sing I hope work goes ok for you both We know real life steps in You both are the sweetest for keeping us in the loop with everything Rain or shine you make a old girl smile Thank you both from the bottom of my heart Take care boys 💙🔷️💙
Thank you so much, it makes us so happy if our videos bring a little bit of light and joy to others, so we really appreciate you saying so 🥰❤️ You'll see a fair few videos before our work stint, most of which will play out while we're working...then suddenly we'll fast forward to 5 weeks later as if the work never happened! At least that's sort of the plan and hopefully it will all make sense 😂 Thank you for your well wishes, take care too and see you next week ❤️🥰
Another wonderful video guys. Loving the area and the lake looks amazing. Nothing wrong with a video of you two been soaked. Still very entertaining.its Totally understandable about the frequency of your videos.. I’ve said before doesn’t need to be every week just love the updates. You guys are the best ever. Totally love your videos. Your skills are improving week by week. Looks so professionally done every time. It’s lovely just hearing you just talking and reflecting on things. Love the comments about being cheap. Funny as ****
Ah thank you Paul for your lovely comments, always look forward to and appreciate them 🥰❤️ Rain is okay, but damn it's difficult to film in. And really appreciate you saying that about the video skills, I mean Spielberg I am not, I just consider it a success to string something, anything, together 😂 So thank you ❤️ Stephen is cheap as you like, and well, sometimes that's all you need 😜🥰
Sometimes places look even better in the rain - Scotland can be one. And if not better, then beautiful in a different way. Unfortunately, the rain got so heavy at times it became impossible to know whether that was true here or not 😂 But we're still glad we saw it and would give it another go in sunnier times!
We can expect a few gateaux in the next one? Is it five weeks work without a break? thats admirable. Whatever you can manage is OK, spontaneity is key. 👍
Thank you tomcat, although you might be disappointed about the gateaux, which is absolutely shocking I know 🙈 Yes it's 5 weeks constant including weekends, just the hours in between that we're off. A bit of a slog but we need it greatly! And while the transition time-wise between our videos will by no means be seamless, they'll at least keep coming out most Sundays. We are actually back in the UK now, so there's a couple of Germany ones left to show, then some UK trips we're doing before the big work shift, so most of those videos will go out while we're working. And then suddenly, a week later, it'll be 5 weeks later in "real time". God, did I ever say I overexplain things 😂🙈
Just chilling out & your video popped up, you two definitely make me smile 😊. It's good to step away from the norm and just explore. Germany definitely has some gorgeous location's. Enjoy the rest of your adventure before reality brings you home for work. Will look forward to seeing your next adventure even if it's traveling home 🤗
Thank you so much, so pleased our vids bring a smile to your face 😍🥰 We feel grateful that anyone watches at all to be honest. It's been wonderful to explore on a whim, no strict itinerary, just drifting from place to place, and Germany has been lovely to do that in. We do have a couple more videos before home, then some UK stuff coming up before our big stint of work ❤️
There's the Lighthouse. Google it cuz that's as good as it's gonna get.. 🤣🤣🤣 Mate that had me in freakin stitches. At least u still managed to salvage something lads. All the best.
Cheers Gareth! Google will always show the prettiest pictures, so may as well stick to that when we can't do the job 😂 It was still a good place to visit, rain's just part of the package sometimes 🙈
Thank you Peter, absolutely, without work none of this would be possible 😂 However, we should still be releasing videos most weeks, when there's a stint of work coming up, we try to film a few close together and then stagger them across the Sundays. Not ideal, but it means we stay consistent with releasing videos that way.
Okay now we definitely need to head down to the local Kwik Fit, Police Station or Army Barrack and play our videos unannounced and see if we can make those fine men follow the same example. I'm sure it'll work and make them see the light! 😍 (or maybe they'll tell us where to shove it, but that's okay, as long as they still subscribe)
At £17 I'd call them crossants. A fair maiden better have folded that dough a thousand times herself with dainty home buttered fingers while angels sang in a choir as they roasted that coffee... Makes it even more understandable your need to compromise the videos so to speak. But fear not, we'll be here anxiously waiting another "Titanic". Have a pleasant time at work. Cheers from Skåne.
😂😂 Those fair maiden words are pure poetry 👌 What we didn't mention was during that time we got served by no less than 4 different people, I mean it should've been our own personal waiter that acted upon any request we fancied at those prices. In fact, we should've had the champagne those ladies were drinking, it might have cost the same and we'd have enjoyed it more 😂 Thank you and a big hello to you in Skåne ❤️🇸🇪
At the end off the day you are parking for free most the time so why would you give it a bad review some people eh lol 😆 great vid guys the lakes looks amazing very relaxing place all the best donny
It's mad really isn't it, I mean give a bad review if somewhere is genuinely terrible/unsafe/not what it seems etc, but to act like the dedicated motorhome spot (free!) was some kind of mean-spirited act is just...😂 It suited us, we slept well and the train station was next door to get a 10 minute train into Lindau. Bonus! 😍
I'll teach you a German word "meckern" - it's what the Germans do all the time too - especially about the weather and people - moan, complain. Now I want you go to go out there and use it!!
Hang on, we need to do a family history check, because we sound totally German to me 🤔😂 I mean Stephen surely must be. Well, I like the sound of that word either way. Everyone needs a good meckern every now and again (or every day). Hope you're well ❤️
Ah now that makes more sense! Thank you 😍 What was also a bit confusing is it seems to be named two different lakes, Bodensee the east side, Obersee the west. I assume both are German names since they have "see" on the end.
Hello, we don't work all around Europe, this was time we booked off for it. We do security work back in England for various periods across the year, and then try to travel in between 😊 It works for us for now, but who knows about the future!
Aww thank you 🤗 well don't worry, there shouldn't be any breaks between videos as we'll have saved up a few in advance, there will just be a sudden time jump from one Sunday to the next 😂
Those are not Swiss alps but Austrian alps that you can see from over there🤭Switzerland has a lot of fake advertising and takes a lot of credit from neighbouring countries 😅
😂 Well that made me laugh, it's not our bad geography at all, let's blame Switzerland 😂 I wonder if that's why people think cuckoo clocks were invented there when it seems like it was actually Germany 🤪 Thanks for the correction though, good to know! 🥰
I just witter on about nothing for far too long, while Stephen gives one word answers and is now permanently stuck in a Scottish parody persona. There is no balance here 🙈🤦♂️😂
Thank you for taking us to another beautiful place. Shame about the weather - it can really influence how we see/feel about a place. You are so right about not being able to adjust to our weather swings - we just got back from a week away in our caravan, 2 days ago it was 30C and yesterday back to 18/19C and we were only in the Cambridgeshire/Bedfordshire area - not abroad! I hope you will still be able to get your videos out - I really enjoy watching/listening to them and always look forward to them. Obvs work comes first. Stay well and safe both of you. ❤️❤️
Thank you Irene ❤️ We will still have videos out while we're at work, as we tried to record a few in quick succession so that we can release them across the Sundays while we're working, but yes work (well, money earned from work, not the work itself 😂) is a priority. Morning Lindsay! (Well now evening, but still 🤪) So pleased you've enjoyed them all, still more to come and then back to UK adventures 🥰

Absolutely fish and chips. Just love you both you are so funny love love love it.
Fish and chips is still an essential, despite breaking the bank these days 😂 Thank you ❤️

I liked the comment that you are now influencers! Well done and as always, fab vlog ❤❤❤
Influencing moaning, complaining and terrible DIY skills, I guess there's a market for everything 😂 Thank you guys as always, we appreciate it ❤️🥰

Thanks for taking us along on your travels, have to agree humitity is very uncomfortable i much prefer spring and autumn 😊
Thank you, and yes definitely, spring and autumn are the perfect comfort levels in a van we find 😊
Just do your vlogs as you can. You do need to work and get the money. Nice to see you again.

while I do love your vlogs....still love Steven better....great everyday vlog..
Thank you Robert, hey one day you'll surprise us all and switch us around 😂 Not that I'm sensitive or anything 😉
Ja.👍
Better than a nein, I guess 😂😉👍
yeah totally understand ppl who have watch u for a while Steve & Dan no your situation
Thank you, we do (well I do) have a tendency to overexplain things sometimes 😂🤦♂️
Wonderful guys. Very enjoyable. You’re now called influencers. 😉✊❤️🥂xxx
I dread to think what we're influencing and who, but we'll take it 😂 Cheers Jimmy, appreciate it 👍 ❤️🥂
Since I’ve been following you, you’ve influenced me to become a raging homosexual. I’m having a ball! 😉👍❤️🥂

Mental note for next time to go for bubbly. 🙃 Or a personal waiter. Too bad the 4 waiters didn't serve you fourfold at the price of one. 🤪
As a forgotten pop starlet here once said, the champagne makes it taste so much better (perhaps meaning the horrendous bill 🤪)
At the end off the day you are parking for free most the time so why would you give it a bad review some people eh lol 😆 great vid guys the lakes looks amazing very relaxing place all the best donny

German tip: See means lake. Meer means sea. So, the Bodensee. (not lake lake :)
Ah now that makes more sense! Thank you 😍 What was also a bit confusing is it seems to be named two different lakes, Bodensee the east side, Obersee the west. I assume both are German names since they have "see" on the end.

what job do you do where you can get work all around europe? sounds like a great way to see the world
