Why would they change? I mean, sure they could change as anything leaked wouldn't be a final build, but the overall thing will be virtually the same. We saw that with how Sword and Shield leaked ahead of its release.

@@notsoAceTrainer Someone has the souce code, which in the past made companies cancel their games. Pokemon is very big so no they won’t cancel the game, but delays to make changes to already known information could definitely happen. They haven’t shown any Legends ZA gameplay for a reason. That hacker can release the build any moment now and its a huge risk.

A leak could've happened without the personal information involved. The fact that this came out 2 months after the actual hack shows possible malice from the hacker (likely a denied ransom for the information). Giving positive attention to what's happening will end up with a huge mess as things are bound to come out. No beta design or build is worth that.

The thing is, it is neat to be able to see how the past became what it was, but it isn't worth it. I'd love to have known through this through a different way and even if it was a leak, it could've been one where the hacker didn't take personal information. This while thing is basically a mess.

Hey! No need to thank me or praise the honesty! I needed to get the frustration out somehow, and I can't do that by not saying it like I feel it! And I think it would have happened anyway. The breach happening in August and only coming out in October has all the works of a denied ransom. The hacker probably asked for money, waited, Gamefreak didn't pay and they starting throwing stuff out. Stay on the bright side! No starters until the trailer! 😅

In fact, as I was feeling demotivated, it was your polls a few days ago on X that made me "get back up" again and write another script. I don't understand why you think something had to happen, though. I see no issue with how they conducted themselves future-wise. They announced that they were releasing a game in 2025. Yes, I would like news, but I'm not entitled to news - there's not even pre-orders yet. I think that the Pokémon community got too used to having something all the time, while so many franchises have this happen regularly. A game is announced and sometimes you have to wait a long time to know more. But if it is something different, please explain it to me 😅

Got it! I still disagree, though. I don't think this had anything to do with either of those things. An employee clicked on something they shouldn't without knowing. It had nothing to do with their game developers being overworked or their security. In fact, there's no information about their developers being overworked at all. This is something that has happened many times to many different companies, the worst here is how so much personal stuff is out - and how the community seems to not care at all.

They certainly need more training on phishing scams and suspicious links. They are serious hazards that the authorities warn about for very good reason.

It's 100% also a social problem, yeah. I think Gamefreak will be fine like I said and yeah, they'll 100% find them like usual and then the fine will be heavy for sure!

Considering they got in August 2024, I think it might have been a ransom gone wrong. They asked for money, Gamefreak didn't pay, so they started leaking 2 months later...

I think the worst part is dealing with the amount of likely spoilers as things will inevitably be leaked. Cleaning up the comments will not be fun at all!

The day Legends Z-A is finally being fully leaked (I'm sure it IS going to happen), it'll be just easier to isolate ourselves from the internet. But even then, the devs deserve to have their personal information out because of the legal side of the company they work for plus their work on the games through the 3 year development? If it was just news that game developer data was leaked online without other leaks related to games, no one would laugh at it.

The Gigaleak as they called it that affected not only gamefreak but also Nintendo? They were fine and are still fine. Nothing happened to their revenue. But your words show the childish way the community sees this. "Big company bad so it doesn't matter!" It's not the company that will suffer if something goes wrong. It's the people that make virtually no decisions. Thank you for giving everyone an example of what I talked about in the video, though:)
