Despite the missed opportunities of this game I think this was an amazing generation I'm a little sad to be finally closing the door on Paldea in a year or two
Only good if you forget they skipped what was likely over a hundred freaking things they removed, made into buggie messes, continue to skip out on and so on. Voice acting should be a thing at this point since they commit to switch for console instead of being a portable console specific to it so pokemon after it’s left its NATIVE CONSOLE spot that acted as its way to be a limited game and skip alot of norms to good games these days. Also how many mechanics they ditched between exp share proper way as in an actual damn toggle and rather make it harder on players to want to limit leveling units. And as the opening the vid states, briar was effectively barely used in the plot, was a giant nothing burger and pretty much was just a genshin impact nothing burger handling of story where they purposely never do anything that actually does real changes to the plot. HELL, imagine that they didn’t do much to have any real changes to the story map because they didn’t want ‘spoilers’ when people play multi player. Such as npcs that would not appear till after you beat the game and what not. Either way, gamefreak shit show of Pokémon violet was the last straw I needed to finally abandon the Nintendo switch to concentrate on PC and PlayStation 5 now to have a more concentrated gaming palette, if many Nintendo games rather lean to less innovative these days. Because outside of banjo kazooie nuts and bolts style gags for open world legend of Zelda, they basically made a worst watered down version of breath of the wild. Which didn’t have the problem with BAD UI design, cause you wouldn’t be scrolling hundreds of items for fusing crap and what not, so just a handful of a dozen or 3 specifically for gear was far moar easier todo. And how they handle the fusion mechanic instead of being able to quick set fusion for weapons, arrow making and so on didn’t help either by manually doing it for every fking arrow, and you still had a durability system and no real direct crafting system instead.
@BladeSerph bro you need to chill and just enjoy yourself I understand the glitches and bugs were a problem but I personally don't let it stop my enjoyment of the game but I suppose it is your opinion so I'll respect it all that I ask in return is that you respect the fact that I love the game
@ one will ENJOY it, when they can stop wasting 60 dollars or more on full priced titles and stop running into piles of trash that makes even the French assassin’s creed game, all bugs on launch, look pleasant on release. People still likely memeing about ‘slender kiddo’ for that game still. And I would not be amazed even after a year, they still never patched that still.
@@BladeSerph dude just let me enjoy my game I don't care if you hate it or not i just want to love my favorite franchise it's not my fault that you can't look past all the flaws and see something truly beautiful if you want to hate it go ahead just don't bother me about it and try to get me to change my opinion I understand that there is still problems with Scarlet and Violet but I don't care about that most were patched anyways even if a few issues still remain I was trying to be nice here and I'm still trying to be nice but if you can't simply end this with a let's agree to disagree then maybe your not worth my time it's your loss if you can't look past your own hate for something that's so beautiful and a lot of people worked very hard to even get it out on time with the deadline they were given just because you can't see the gold in all the garbage doesn't mean other's can't either again I respect your opinion and all I am asking is that you respect mine don't ruin the fun for others if you don't enjoy it it doesn't make you look smart it just makes you look like an asshole
It feels like, to me, there's a missing 2nd act of the blueberry plot that they either ran out of time for or just didn't think to include. After completing the BBL, getting geeta's permission should have been Briar's task to you, which could have possibly been based on the paradox legend that was previously given out as an event tera raid, and then upon discovering info about that - briar can then use it as the impetus to explore further, since there's not only more down there to discover, but like with the paradox legend & the paradox titan, these dangerous unknown pokemon have a track record now of escaping the crater. So the academy REALLY needs to know wtf they're potentially facing. Could also use this as an opportunity to show the region's governmental official(s) for the first time. Perhaps you have the option to go over her head OR convince her in some other way. This leads to a battle with Geeta in which she uses the real version of her team (which you can fight in blueberry anyways, so you only need to build the one team). Beat geeta to prove you can handle it in her stead, return to briar, and then briar holds the meeting we see in game - kick starting the journey to Area Zero and the climax of the DLCs.
The whole Area Zero Underdepths section was a bit disappointing in my opinion, i wanted to have a walk and a talk down the crater like it happened with the Paldean trio and i wish something bigger than happened at the final battle with Terapagos, i'm not sure what, maybe it becoming a Titan, or summoning mad Paradox Pokémon, or even creating holes in space-time to other points in time and space, maybe even Heath would be there to see it.
I think this was the first time we never got a true villain. Even if it was a Chairman Rose situation. Clavell, Briar and Geeta were questionable but never became a villain, the Professors weren’t even evil. Idk wtf they were honestly. The “ Loyal “ 3 I wouldn’t count as a villain nor Pechruant. Kieran was misguided. So was Penny. There’s no real villain. Just characters who were misguided or full on Copouts
I disagree! :) the character work is some of the best (if not the best) in the series and the plot of the main game rivals that of Gen7 and 5! The game had flaws, but they were mostly technical!
The biggest missed chance? The biggest missed chance in the games were a chance to make the landscape interesting instead of the boring open landscape.
Ehh, I don't think so! I think there were other "biggest missed chances"! 😁 Yeah, it was 100% not what we would've wanted, but I think it wasn't as bad as people put it! To each their own, though!

Absolutely! I'm really hopeful we still have some Paldean Easter Eggs in ZA!

I really like that a lot more than what we got! It would be a great to make a more cohesive story for sure!

Same! The 2nd part of your comment would be awesome, but I would be happy with the walk and talk!

I think it was, yeah! Even the AI situation, despite the epic setting, didn't feel like the villain finale we're used to!
I'd have loved to have met Heath.
Same!
@notsoAceTrainer 🤗
I still want to know what that blacked out section of paldea was meant to be, it’s there for a reason
I think it really isn't... reminds me of the cloudy area in Hisui! It felt like it was there for a reason, but it ended up being nothing!
I Thought Briar Was Gonna Be The Secret Villian Like Volo But NO Shes Just a Side Character And Plus I Never Get To Battle Her ;(
Same! So many possible twists and got them all wrong 😅
The whole flipping GAME was a missed opportunity. Modern Pokémon in a nutshell.
I disagree! :) the character work is some of the best (if not the best) in the series and the plot of the main game rivals that of Gen7 and 5! The game had flaws, but they were mostly technical!
I Thought She Was Gonna Pull a Volo On Me But No LOL ;)

no. Health not appearing makes sense. And Briar was fine for the most part.
I disagree 😁
