@ yeah all sorts mate - I did a lot of telly when I was younger (and had hair!) and I’ve been on broadway, the west end and whatnot. I been working as an actor for 30 years - my showreel/CV is at chrisconnel.com if you ever get really bored lol 😂

I don’t know what the exact weight is but if weight is a worry go for the Sturgeon as it’s considerably lighter but still very stable. The supernova is a very big kayak remember.

I have thought about it - I like the idea of more range both distance and weather wise but then the set up and storage. I don’t know I suppose is the answer. Maybe one day I will. I nearly bought one 2 years ago!

Hi mate, I hope the weather has been better for you in Cyprus than it has been here! The motor I’m using is the one Galaxy sell for that kayak - it’s basically a 24lb Saltwater Watersnake motor adapted to fit in the pedal drive. Hope that helps, tight lines 👍🎣

Hi mate - I’m glad you’re enjoying the content. I wouldn’t go out alone while you’re just starting out - Join a Facebook group (I admin on Kayak Fishing UK) and arrange to go out with other folk. There are loads of Geordies on that group (including all three admin!). Get all of your safety gear first - Drysuit for our coast is a must in my opinion plus a PFD(personal flotation device) and VHF (waterproof and floating) . They are the minimum requirements. Kayak should really be 12 foot or more in length as well. You’re gonna love it! Hope that helps, tight lines 👍🎣

Glad you had a good day - sorry to hear about your rod! I use rods rated 40g myself between 6-8 ft long (I always cut a bit off the butt of the 8 footers) The three I’ve liked the most are the Rovex integra gold - Dam Yagi Spin and the pen prevails I have are what come out with me at the moment. They’re all fairly cheap as well. Tight lines pal 👍🎣

I find it really good on the lures from May until around the end of November. It’s starts to get tough beginning of December as the cod seem to only come in after dark when there’s a sea on. February and March are the hardest months but it picks up again at the back end of April when the water temp starts to creep back up in my experience. Hope that helps 👍🎣
