Sitting on a wet Sunday evening not looking forward to work tomorrow. Your video, your attitude and enthusiasm has totally lifted my spirits. Keep them coming mate.
Brilliant session Chris with a nice stamp of fish. You're right when you say you've never been cool, you're absolutely on fire with your catch returns. 😉 Absolutely enjoyed that. Tight lines buddy. Arthur.
Many thanks for showing us a bumper session of great fishing. What a spot! My arms were aching in sympathy considering the bends in the rod. Lovely sea to begin with as well. We are having to wait for the swell to die down here in the south, not sure what's driving it but watching your videos does keep the enthusiasm going. Best wishes, Kev
It’s such a great way to fish Peter. Catch ten times more than you ever do from the shore. I absolutely love it! If you fancy a Galaxy don’t forget the channel discount code. OTD5 Tight lines mate 👍🎣
Alright Chris, another great watch. Have fished Cambois beach and rocks many years, my favourite. If you cant get in at the ramp, what about launching from Blyth, at the south harbour entrance. Then a motor across the pier s to the top end of the rocks other side?
Thanks very much John, Yeah I used to fish there a lot from the hot water pipe back in the day. I have actually eyed up a launch from the hole in the wall from the carpark. It’s in the bank if the sand disappears again! 👍🎣
Have been watching your videos for a while now as I'm just from Cullercoats as a beginner who is looking to get first kayak..it would be great if you could do a kayak beginners video with the gear you use and safety. Looking at a sturgeon kayak myself so may look at your discount code. Thanks again
I’ve literally just filmed a set up guide Steven! It should be up in the next week or two. The Sturgeon is a lot of kayak for the money. I really like mine. I have the supernova as well. Tight lines mate 👍🎣
Hello mate love all your videos, their seems to be three of you on you tube who all fish the same sort of area your self chris davison and screw in a canoe are you all mates. Also with the other two you do see them take fish from time to time but we don't see you take any or do you edit those out of your video's, anyway tight lines look forward too your next trip and video
Hi David mate I’m glad you’re enjoying the content. I know them both yeah. I see them out at Beadnell quite often. They’ve both swapped over to SIBs now. I put all my fish back as a rule, but if one doesn’t make it it gets munched. Tight lines 👍🎣
Had that same rod and snapped it yesterday on a pollock just glad it isn't mega expensive cause its a cracking rod. The thing just gave way was fuming and cut my session short had some cracking cod though and a pb pollock albeit the thing snapped my rod haha.
Hi Chris I am so impressed by your videos I have bought a sturgeon FX and in the same colour as yours and yes used the code to get 5% off Thanks for that, can I ask if you have time could you show a clip of installing a galaxy striker plus 4 on the kayak especially installing the transducer or is there any clips you would recommend Thanks Colin
Happy new kayak Colin! If I remember correctly I had to make a bracket out of aluminium, L bracket for my old striker on the older non pedal version of the sturgeon, but I haven’t fitted a Garmin to the fx so I’m not sure. The Lowrance transducers transom mount fits out of the box. If you’re on Facebook look for the Galaxy Sturgeon Owners Group, I’m admin on there…ask the question there and I or someone else will link to a post on that subject. Thanks for using the code! Tight lines mate 👍🎉🎉🎉🎣🎣🎣
Used to shore fish at Cambois years ago. Can't remember too much about it for access (pre-kayak). What's the parking/access to the ramp like please? Much of a walk? It's always a bit of an expedition for me to get up there!
I used to fish it a lot back in the day. The parking is at the top of the ramp. Only potential issue is the gate that closes to let the trains through. It’s never happened to me but the sign says you can be locked in for extended periods when the trains are loading. Other than that it’s a doddle 👍🎣
Aaah. That must be one of those further down. Theres was one I think it called the Buccaneers car park closer to the estuary that has a boat ramp. That's the one I thought you'd launched from
Was that relief shading that you shared a clip of? I did sign up for the yearly Navionics with relief shading but found it to be incomplete for most of the NE coastline so I didn’t renew. Does it cover further north as well or is it still sketchy? Cheers
I’ve been using the IMAX Dam SW Spin for a while now and it’s been great. I bought it to replace the Dam Yagi Spin that went to the bottom of the sea (with my pen slammer on it!!) for the price I’ve got no complaints 👍🎣
@@onthedropfishing noted, I'm just back from Scotland with my Kayak, fished loch Fyne, there's a place called furnace quarry that holds good sized Pollock, I didn't manage anything to big though
how good is the kayak u are using for uk sea cause i am looking to get a smillar model but not sure how stable it is i can see u are preaty stable on it but wana make sure
I love the Sturgeon mate, it’s very stable I’ve been using the FX for two n bit years and the older version for a couple of years before that. I have the supernova as well and it’s very stable also but quite a bit heavier. If you do go down the Galaxy route don’t forget the discount code OTD5. Tight lines mate 👍🎣
Chris im still looking at that motor on galaxy unfortunately theres no info on it, i see the handle on it on your kayak that aint to steer it is it or is it still done by the rudder ?
Hi mate, you steer with the rudder, the handle is normally retracted inside but I pop mine out so I can quickly get the lens out of the sun when I show a fish to camera. So in short the handle is normally inside and you steer with the rudder as normal 👍🎣
Great place for launching at the minute. You have been able to launch at certain times the last few years but it's normally for short periods only. Used to be more permanent a few years ago as we used to launch quite regularly but a storm surge scoured it out for a while and it's never been the same since. You are right about landing at high tide as the sea conditions can change when you are out there for a few hours. He is a link to show the potential accident you could have, luckily no one got injured ua-cam.com/video/c3Np7-vp9z8/v-deo.html

Great spot isn’t it. I’m so glad the launch has sorted itself out 👍🎣

Great video. Need to pop along and give Cambois a go. Only 5 minute drive.
You'd be daft not to while there's sand at the ramp. Just don't land/launch at high water. It was a cracking day 👍🎣
