Hey mate, yeah that’s my day job, It was a canny gig - everyone was lovely- Hopefully get a break in the weather soon and a trip over west! Tight lines mate 👍🎣
@ yeah all sorts mate - I did a lot of telly when I was younger (and had hair!) and I’ve been on broadway, the west end and whatnot. I been working as an actor for 30 years - my showreel/CV is at chrisconnel.com if you ever get really bored lol 😂
Well well well!!!! You eventually escaped the rat-race and got back out on the water again. Great to see you back out mate. Thanks for sharing and all the best
What a day you had, some cracking fishing the weather wasn't too bad and the finale has to be those Dolphins i absolutely love watching Dolphins. TC. Barry (the Wirral)
Nice to see you back, Chris. Canny productive day for the first trip out in a while, as well, mate. Loved the Dolphin footage an'all you lucky bugger. 😎
She’s a subscriber! It was lush to be on the show , for a while I thought I was gonna be the only Geordie actor never to be in Vera lol! 😂 Tight lines pal 👍🎣
Well done. You did a lot better than I did on Wednesday at whitley bay, my first ever blank on the kayak. Then heart attack hill to contend with. Great to see another video from you.
Welcome back Chris, been a big miss. Straight into fish and the well documented juggling act.🤣. You couldn't have gotten a better day for this time of year. Hope to see the next video from Scotland soon. Tight lines mate. Arthur.
Another great video. I am getting my first kayak next week. Have you got any tips on where to get the best information for ew starters or even have you thought on doing a workshop day. Thanks
Hey mate - Happy New Kayak! You’re gonna love it. If you’re on Facebook join the group Kayak Fishing UK there’s loads of us on there and we’re a really friendly bunch. This channel also has a Facebook page as well. Ask anything questions you like 👍🎣
I had a drive past last time I was up that way and there’s a height restriction on the carpark. I can’t get the van in! Unless of course you know of another near by launch….? 😊🎣
Great stuff mate...I was out on my Kayak today and had a good day but broke a Sakura Trinis rod...looking to buy another rod for Kayak fishing for fishing soft plastics and jogging on the bottom...can you recommend anything? Cheers
Glad you had a good day - sorry to hear about your rod! I use rods rated 40g myself between 6-8 ft long (I always cut a bit off the butt of the 8 footers) The three I’ve liked the most are the Rovex integra gold - Dam Yagi Spin and the pen prevails I have are what come out with me at the moment. They’re all fairly cheap as well. Tight lines pal 👍🎣
@@onthedropfishing Thanks buddy, they all sound good options...I'll pick something up online over the next few days..the wind looks steady for the next few days and weekend, so I might get out with the wee lad on Saturday. Tight lines and thanks again, keep up the good work on the videos!
Hi mate, I love your content. I hope you won't mind me asking a question about the cod fishing offshore. Do you think that the cod fishing offshore gets better during the winter, do you tend to get bigger fish, or do they slow down and be more reluctant to take a lure? Thanks, Tight lines.
I find it really good on the lures from May until around the end of November. It’s starts to get tough beginning of December as the cod seem to only come in after dark when there’s a sea on. February and March are the hardest months but it picks up again at the back end of April when the water temp starts to creep back up in my experience. Hope that helps 👍🎣
Hi mate, I’m glad you’re enjoying the content. Yes I stick to winds under 10mph preferably having blown from the shore for a day or two before. East is bad on my coast. Hope that helps 🎣
I have thought about it - I like the idea of more range both distance and weather wise but then the set up and storage. I don’t know I suppose is the answer. Maybe one day I will. I nearly bought one 2 years ago!
@@onthedropfishing get an inflating dec and 15hp or less and it no effort especially if you have the wheels on the back dude honest not the heavy, Tight lines mate :)
I was mate yes, that’s the day job. It was a really nice gig to be on. Just need the weather to break so I can get some fishing in now. Tight lines pal 🎣
