Those rubber/plastic treads will turn brittle after twelve months. I removed the stuff on mine and the steps are still going strong (with care!)
They're absolutely amazing. I don't know why these aren't promoted more. Much better than a stinking wood burner. No pollution, no mess, easy to use, lights at a press of a button. So much better
The Works is normally where I grab batteries, 8 panasonic for a pound. Wife is obsessed with the Christmas lights so goes through them like there is no tomorrow. I did buy the elastic stuff at our local independant discount. I cannot remember what I used it for in the end. The fact I have not found anything fallen off or leaking, then it must have worked. 😂 Thanks for sharing.
can this particular foam be used around or near. gas/hot water pipes. i have done that when sticking plasterboard to wall
It's your malcolm mcdowell hair cut off star trek generations 😅
I see "makers" and the like to be far too generic. That said "Sheddies" is your brand. No matter if it's a shed, garage, workshop or corner of the living room (me), your fans are Sheddies
Another cracking video mate :) I spend way too much money in Poundland :)
When the round feet fall off that set of steps pop bottle lids work well :)
I'd stick with "sheddies" I mean you don't really want to call the people who watch your videos "tools" ;) :) Makers is a good catchall though :)
Thanks Rob, it takes getting used to the fact that it's not all £1, I still walk round thinking blimey that's a bargain then look at the price - Doh ! Tbh beef they put the prices up it was getting a bit silly with the shrink-flation - smaller and smaller packs of everything - a few years ago you could get 8 tubes of CA glue for £1 ! You've got to remember to compare like with like with the batteries as those Kodak are Alkaline, I don't think the Panasonic were ( Zinc ? ) and don't you think 9 is a funny number for a pack !
We all have to start somewhere! Seems like you are picking it up really quick!
Good luck getting them to stay on your magnetic holder. You've got me wondering as to what I would use them for.
Well done xx
In the aviation world these dental tools are invaluable. They are great for fishing out broken lockwire and making sure holes are clean. The uses for them around the house is endless. You could even do your own teeth in a pinch, lol.
So useful for the jobs you described and many more as well. Time to replace the couple of old dental picks I have been using.
Have a couple of sets of small picks and although they have many uses i highly discourage using them to remove lint/fluff from your phones charging port ............only plastic or wooden picks ,remember the charging port is connected to the phones battery
Nice one rob they look good need get myself a set each these be perfect for live edge clan up and getting into voids in a slab of wood plus maybe even digging bits nails out of pallet boards 👍🏴
New to your channel very enjoyable hammer looks great
I use 151 spray paint all the time i get it in packs of 3 from amazon and I've never had issues with it
Iv had the halford socket set for over 20yrs.. in that time iv broke two ratchets, took them back to halford and they replaced them instantly.. no quibble.
Hi just found the channel and like your style so you have a new sub
FAIL = First Attempt In Learning 👍
It's great to see you trying different cheap shops.
I have a syringe epoxy like yours called Rexan it states 15 to 45 mins to cure! 4 hours later it was set.....ish
I’ve just treated myself to the red Halfords tools box, also ordered the Halfords advent calendar Did you see Lidl are doing a Pizza cutter in the shape of a angle grinder Enjoy the videos Richard
Hey Rob...... I worked in a dental lab in my teens for work experience in the 70's (didnt go into it though) and was given a set of picks which I still have .....have been using them for carbon cleaning on piston grooves (two strokes) since then as they do the job perfectly....of course they have many uses....good purchase.... you will find them an essential part of your tool armoury.
Just a thought…if these are metal why not try magnetising them for times when that fiddly nut or washer has dropped behind something?
Well done my friend 👍
I like the way you turn light off an tests torches ,its spooky
Great channel
Really lov it
Rob- Fantastic video! It’s amazing how low the price is on those sets- a must have addition to any and every workshop! 😃👍🇬🇧
I have a tin full of spiky hooky things like the gasket hooks etc. you show second. Very, very useful! I use them a lot of things. I sometimes take old printers apart (lots of goodies in those) and they are completely indispensable for that! Good for springs, gaskets, etc.
Have you tried a park side plasma cutter yet?
Thanks Rob, I bought a little set of Hilka picks a few years ago on a recommendation and I don't use them a lot but when you need them they're great to have, I also have a set of clay modelling tools from CPC Farnell's (great website) which are great for cleaning out cavities and shaping filler etc !
Radiator rollers are also great for applying oils and creams to your back, if you're on you own.
😃😃👍 fantastic idea , cheers Rob
You buy your tools dont be scared of her outdoors mens bits comes first
😂👍
Hi Rob, I got a set of hooks and picks, bought them a few years ago from QD stores in Wrexham, I think QD packed up, like Wilkinsons. These hooks are handy mainly for scrapping dirt and muck out. Usually when i'm repairing tools or stripping down power tools. As always good to see you, catch you soon Take care
Hi Shaun.. another great idea.. when cleaning out power tools 😃 of course! I hadn’t heard of QD stores. Take care mate , cheers Rob
Hey Shaun..... nice to see your comments....hope you are good? It sounds like you have so many tools that you are often repairing restoring them....Im gonna do a Rob and suggest you need to start a YT channel !........
@@adam-qf2vz Hi Adam, good to hear from you, I often thought of it, my workshop needs a good sort out plus I need to build an Island workbench. I do have plenty of tools and repair or clean up, at the moment I do have a lot of family commitments, I am a carer for my Mum and Dad I'm there every morning ( except today I'm snowed in ) and when I get home I do the same with my wife and my son he has spina bifida but hes doing ok most of the time. On doing a YT channel it's on the shelf, but that means I do take things of the shelf, I'll see how the land lies, Thanks for asking mate, catch you soon Take care
I'm a disabled guy ,but you've given me a great idea to get some tools and build things in my shed.
Fantastic it’s giving you ideas 😃
Do it man you won't regret it 😊
If you haven't seen it yet check out the hand-i-craft channel, he's a disabled guy who does a lot of DIY and what he achieves is amazing www.youtube.com/@Hand-i-Craft
I love the way you explain with a laugh ,you made me happy.
Great to hear and Thanks buddy .. I like to make if fun, and it’s my happy place .. 😃👍 cheers Rob
Your technique for drawing ovals would be very useful should one wish to make a wooden toilet seat...
Great idea! 👍 cheers Rob
Bloody good idea on those picks
😉 cheers Rob 👍
Its called knurling😅
That’s it 😃 I was nearly right 😂 cheers Rob
French cleets are the way to go ? Always see your tools and can move them around the shed you can make holders for anything👍👍👍
Good call Rod, I keep threatening to put some up 😂.. I will do at some point 👍 looks a great method , cheers Rob
Honestly, I'm a sculptor and bought a load of these picks etc a while back as optional tools for sculpting and carving. They have been some of the best tools I have bought, not just for sculpting, but for the other menial tasks that you can use them for. I'm often picking them up daily to pick something, clean nails, grab some debris, wangle something. Unbelievably versatile things.... but beware if storing them upright in a jar or tub. They bite!... and I've been stabbed by the things a ton of times when reaching for one haha
Of course.. sculpting 😃 another great example , great to hear your experience 👍 and great tip on the way to store them 😬😂cheers Rob 👍
That 151 spray can be hit and miss, had quite a few clogging up recently and some of the Dekton tools from Poundland are absolute shite. Bought a ratchet screwdriver and on first use it disintegrated in my hand.
I’ve got a job where I’m going to try the paint.. so thanks for heads up.. yeah I saw the ratchet s driver .. I did wonder 😬😬 cheers Rob
I wonder how much I’ve missed out or got wrong this week 😂.. comment, it helps me and others . Thanks for watching.. there are millions of UA-cam videos out there, I’m blown away by the fact you watch mine. !! Comment if you like Like if you like Subscribe if you like CHEERS !
Poundland Needs Taking To Court For Misleading And Greater Money Rip Off!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for your opinion, cheers
I think Poundland should be renamed "Sometimes a Pound Land". Since the original owners sold the company, more and more items are a lot more than a pound.
Very true ! Very little is a £1 in the tool isle now, cheers Rob
I LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERY VIDEO BUDDY🤓🤓🤓
😃 coming from you buddy is an honour.. hope you’re good , cheers Rob
Hi Rob, is the single glove something to do with being an Alvin Stardust fan?
😂😂 good try mark , but no, cheers Rob
