What’s your thoughts on the parkside tools ? Thanks for watching.. there are millions of UA-cam videos out there, I’m blown away by the fact you watch mine. !! Comment if you like Like if you like Subscribe if you like CHEERS !
Hahaha that beginning! My wife overheard that, and said "omfg, that's you, everytime" though I now tend to leave the tool bag in my car until.I can sneak it in later 😂
I don't have that hassle !! I usually go to Lidl on a Saturday morning when the wife is up town / at her parents so I can buy then upack uninterupted 🤣🤣
Love the video mate. You are just like me, can't resist buying tools, especially when they're at a bargain price. I'm always in and out of Lidl and Aldi looking for tool bargains. 😂
We went to Lidl today had a good look but already have most of it .Did look at the plasma cutter but don't do much metal work so couldn't justify buying it and sit under the bench for next 5 years 👍 Rob good watch
@@thanksalotAndy Yes, it’s got a 16A (round, blue&white) plug on. I used a female 16A to regular 13A 3-pin plug adapter, of the type used by caravans/boats. I kept it to 30A of the maximum 40A setting on the cutter, and it was fine.
"Don't know where it is" "I'll propably find it now" chefs kiss Also that little sawblade I'd use to mark things that are goin to be cut off or work on thoroughly maybe.
I'm sure the serrated part of the decorating tool is for keying new tiling mortar when fixing new tiles to your bathroom wall. You crisscross the new wet mortar with the tool, and this helps the tiles to fix to the wall better. It helps stop the tiles from moving until the mortar dries out thoroughly.
good week this week. I bought 3 sets of long reach allen keys to make turning tools, a set of Forstner bits, a set of step drills, cable ties and I will go back and get one of those inspection kits now. Thanks.
@@thanksalotAndy Thanks Andy. I haven't used them much yet and only on softwood, so I'll probably end up constantly resharpening them like my Screwfix set.
Picked up a bargain the other week, I'm very partial to Aldi's Galahad lager, popped into a branch to stock up, found their magnetic wrist band, one left, reduced to 99p, straight into the trolley, straight into the toolbox!
The point on the decorators multi tool is for raking out cracks … no point in filing a crack if you don’t get to the root of the problem . Take the crack back to where it started then fill it , if you only flush fill the crack it will keep cracking , you rake it out to the root you’ll solve the problem 99% of the time
Also, that magnetic strip will prove useful, got some kitchen knives I never use, blunt as hell but would like to display in the kitchen as a feature, that strip will work wonders.
The magnetic bars are more than just tool holders - I use them to retain covers over the windscreens of our cars. However the later ones with a single piece magnet are not as strong as the earlier ones with eight smaller magnets in the bar.
I bought similar but did not go for the tray. The sticker for my magnetic strip was slightly loose so i think i saw it was several block magnets together. For the lids, why not just buying a load of neodymium magnets. you can get 50 for under a fiver and you could superglue to the wood (I used for leg of my chair/step stool - where they are barely a chair and step stool). I also got the laser cross hair and Jigsaw. Not tested either as was finishing making the 45 degree zero clearance plate for the parkside mitre saw (need to also do the zero degree) Thanks for sharing :)
A permanent magnet if kept and used in optimum working conditions will keep its magnetism for years. It's estimated that neodymium magnets only lose approximately 5% of their magnetism every 100 years.
i got some grinder discs from aldi the other day set of normal ones three different thicknesses and some diamond cutting discs too either £2.99 or £3.99 each oooo and i nearly forgot about the mulitmeter too that was a bargain too
Hi Rob, Got some good stuff there, always handy even if you don't need them, until that day and you get that light bulb moment and you shout out, I've got one in the shed........ There is loads of good shed stuff in Lidl, always need nails and panel pins and cable clips🧲🔩📌🪛🔧 . Just to good to walk away from like the decorating multi tool with a bottle opener to open your bottle of Coke or Bud🍺. Most important is the bread, with out the bread you wouldn't be able to get these great accessories. Don't worry I wont tell your wife, your secret is safe with me mate😉I'll catch you soon, have a good one take care😁👍
Hi Mate, I have found the flexi-magnetic stuff to be ungrabby / low pull. I was looking for some powerful circular ones for some "Brio" style trains. I found some on Ali Express that were quite powerful / grabby / pully, best of all cheap. I will see if I can find the sellers details and email you the details if you wish. Re cable clips - An electrician mate of mine said to always put the nail side on the bottom, so that the cable is pulling against the nail and not the flexible part of the clip.
Shhhh I don't need more lidl tools. I didn't think much of one of the drills, the screw went in so far and the drill wouldn't put it in any farther, I got it to use with the drill bits n forstner but they stop after going in about 2mm. Tried on different settings, tried tightening more etc but the drill pieces just stop.
I have used the magnetic strips for years, I bolted 2 back to back so I can stick one on a metal scissor work trolley and attach my tools while I work on it. I use them to hold open electrical panel doors while I work inside, I attach them to my workbench so I have quick access to my hand tools while I work on an electrical panel on the bench. I also have the scraper, the quality of this tool is tremendous for the £2.99 paid. People knock Parkside because it's sold by a supermarket but this stuff is German engineering at knock down prices.
I'm like you, try to sneak carrier bags full of kit from little & Aldi, my wife on the other hand tries to sneak in stuff she has bought from charity shops. 🤣🤣🤣 Cheers!
What a bargin the scraper...... mind you i once bought a parkside cordless rip saw. It did not give me satisfaction. It struggled with 1/4 inch plywood so what use is that? 👎 Few year ago tho... Apart from that not bad vid. Cheers
@@WeekendShedHead I went to get rubber boot mats from mine which is 100 yards from my house. They had 1 left, it had been open 20 minutes. Went to one 6 miles away 2 days later and they had at least 20. Odd thing is the middle aisles in both are the same size so it makes no sense at all.

I find the saw blade part on the decorators scraper is good for paint brushes, the same as the roller cleaner.
😃good call.. that’s be it 👏👏 cheers Rob
I am a pond guy and that scraper is always in my pocket, it is so multi use.
Never knew there were such a thing as the magnetic strips. Off the lidl in the morning to get some. They may well be a game changer.
They are fantastic Michael .. game changer in shed workshop 👍 cheers Rob
Those magnetic strips are the best value I've seen anywhere, I also use them to hold my kitchen knives on wall too.
I put one in the kitchen too. Great job for the big knives.
Good idea , cheers

To use the plasma cutter I believe it needs an 16amp supply IE over what your normal sockets are rated for

Just bought two of the magnetic strips on your recommendation, and picked up a work light which is great in my loft. £14.99 and worth it.

the metal bit on the handle is so that you can use it as a chisel and strike it

Was in Lidl today, didn't get anything but last week got a 12V Parkside drill reduced to £8.49! Used it a couple times and it's spot on.👌
