Happy to be labelled a Sheddie and I don't even have a shed 😁, garage-y doesn't quite have the same ring to it... We're all here because we share an interest and your eloquence and honesty unites and entertains in equal measures. Keep up the great work 👍👍👍.
Only just had your channel recommended on my list and really enjoying someone from the Uk rather than all the ones from the US that can just nip into any of their 4/5 local hardware superstores and get everything cheap. Just starting to build up my single sectional garage that I’m converting into a workshop, but at the minute it’s filled with general stuff that needs clearing and sorting. Then will be sorting paint, flooring, lighting, storage and building workbench, but need to weatherproof it from wind and rain, see it’s not a lot if you say it quick
I agree with you. Sheddies covers us all. Me. I'm a retired farrier blacksmith. So I've got a tool fetish.! And a hoarder. as blacksmiths see scrap as something to make something out of.
Hi Rob, hope your well, What are we, Mmmm,......Free, from the other half, er.... Shedists or Shedlomaniac , Shedaholics i'll stick with Sheddies if it's not broke don't fix it.🤣🤣😁 You got some good bargains from Lidl and Home bargains another place I have had a good bargain was 12 years ago in Poundland I bought a 12 watt glue gun with 4 sticks of glue for a £1 and I still use it, it was that good I bought another one, Bargain. Also bought sand paper sheets, can't go wrong. Love the video as always full of energy, have a good weekend Take care
Hi mate, I like shedlomaniacs 😃 but you’re right , think we’ll stick to sheddies . Yes I rate Poundland.. especially the led bulbs👍 big thanks Shaun , cheers Rob
Thanks Rob, I don't think the name matters much "Sheddies" doesn't have to be taken literally it's more a mentality I'd say ! Some good bargains there, I think a lot of this stuff just gets bought because it's cheap, we've all been there it's like going to Ikea you go in for a couple of things and come out with a trolley full !
Check to see if you have a small hardware discount place as you can often can find some of those little tools and consumables. We have one down the road, and they have the Bluespot range. Probably the best was screwdriver bits that were 5-6 inch long in the standard flavours (plus glue, cut mats, etc). I got those heavy duty gloves, and they have been designated my Gutter Gloves. I was at Lidl last night and bought the Parkside soil and water meters for forgiveness, and cable ties, calipers, t-shirt for the reason for forgiveness. They also had the Gorilla products in the impulse buys next to the till now. Cheers for sharing, always entertaining.
Thanks Calum, I’ll definitely check it out mate.. I’ve used blue spot before with good results… you got the T shirt 😃😃 now you’re a real fan 😂👍 I saw the soil water metre.. is it any good ? Cheers as always Rob
@@WeekendShedHead it broke😐 One of the soil meter probe tips broke off and likely underground somewhere. Not sure if this will be covered by the warranty but will try to see if I can replace this week. When I get the next, I will give a test with dryish soil and soil with orange juice in it (wet and acidic). The water testers are just a litmus style paper that is red when dry and blue when wet. They seem to be working okay.
SHEDDIES!!!!! Hi Rob, our local Honey Bargains has just relocated on the same retail park… to a HUGE new premises. Lots more f goodies in there. We also have a few B&M stores in the area (usually close to HB 🤣). The also have the odd gem on the shelves. Cheers mate 👍🏻
Hi Nigel, great to hear mate.. I went round b&m today actually.. nothing I needed in the tools though.. I must say the storage containers / boxes are good though . 👍 You got your auto spell checker on again mate 😉😂 Cheers Rob
I have a shed (old outside toilet) but mainly filled with gardening equipment with some tools. Most of my tools are up in the loft and timber kept under the kitchen (4ft void). My shed is literally sh1t compared to yours 😒 but it serves a purpose 👍No, the toilet in shed doesn't get used now 🤣 Wish I had a shed like yours! Not bought anything lately apart from a portable fridge freezer to run off my power station/solar panel. B&M is also handy for small nick nack tools in times of need. Another great vlog, thank you 😀👍
Great to hear about other peoples spaces 😃 I started small and my shed grew, and it still wants to😂 I’m running out of sauce! Glad the toilet is now redundant 😂 cheers mate
Home Bargains is definitely underrated. Depending on the location they have a ton of tools. I noticed a bunch of Honeywell stuff like the goggles and also a ton of FFP3 marks. I bought a box of 16 for I think £1ish. Have been tempted to try their screw drivers with bit sets - Seems cheap and decent enough. Another good buy is 12 pack of sharpies for £5.99. Always good to have around. I also went to Poundland recently and was surprised with some of the stuff they had. 32 pack of glue sticks for smaller glue guns for £1.20. They also have their own epoxy that looks identical to JBWeld (syringe type). It’s about £1.30. No idea how good it would be in comparison, but worth a shot at that price.
👍sheddies Seems the general opinion of you and others mate, occasionally buy from b&m , I got some good storage drawers for the shed recently .. I might venture in again , cheers Rob
Great video as always. 👍 Em, don't run your unprotected fingers across a wire brush. They often have loose parts which will penetrate your skin. Very sore and extremely difficult to remove. 🙂
I thought I’d got a great bargain when I found one particular Lidl selling Gorilla Wood Glue at just £1 for a little 236ml bottle - given that litres bottles sell for around a tenner. So I bought 6 of them. Snag is the small bottles are made from the same tough plastic as the big bottles, but their small diameter makes them almost impossible to squeeze 😂😂😂 I’d better start saving empty fairy liquid bottles!
Good morning mate just wanted to drop you a note to say thanks for your videos, I am suffering with healt issues at the moment and my shed/garage is proving a great help and I really appreciate and enjoy your content, thank you. One thing though after binge watching some of your content I saw the one were you picked up the tablesaw, I have the same one but have made a cart for it because of the lay out of my shop, I have the original stand for it on a shelf and you are welcome to it if you would like it. Just send me a message and it's yours . Thank you again for your channel. Tony🔨
Good Evening Tony, I’m really sorry to hear that mate, but pleased you are keeping yourself busy / active.. our sheds / garages are our haven.. where we can unwind and relax.. even polish a few tools if we want to.. and build at our own leisure/ pleasure, glad to hear yours works for you. Really honoured you like my videos and more to come.. 👍 very kind gesture my friend .. however, coincidentally I have a video coming very soon which solves the table saw problem and a few others 😉 but again a very nice gesture.. if it doesn’t work I might take you up on that offer. Take care, Cheers Rob 👍
Cracking few wee bits there rob. I got ripped off was buying the nearly identical gloves (green black ones) from eBay 3.49 a pair. Would be very interested to see you go through temu 😮😂👍🏴
Great to hear about your shed Paul, size isn’t everything of course 😉 as long as it does the job , problem is we always want bigger sheds! If i didn’t enjoy my garden.. I’d go bigger 🤣 cheers Rob
