So useful for the jobs you described and many more as well. Time to replace the couple of old dental picks I have been using.

Good luck getting them to stay on your magnetic holder. You've got me wondering as to what I would use them for.

Hey Rob...... I worked in a dental lab in my teens for work experience in the 70's (didnt go into it though) and was given a set of picks which I still have .....have been using them for carbon cleaning on piston grooves (two strokes) since then as they do the job perfectly....of course they have many uses....good purchase.... you will find them an essential part of your tool armoury.

In the aviation world these dental tools are invaluable. They are great for fishing out broken lockwire and making sure holes are clean. The uses for them around the house is endless. You could even do your own teeth in a pinch, lol.

Hi Rob, I got a set of hooks and picks, bought them a few years ago from QD stores in Wrexham, I think QD packed up, like Wilkinsons. These hooks are handy mainly for scrapping dirt and muck out. Usually when i'm repairing tools or stripping down power tools. As always good to see you, catch you soon Take care

@@adam-qf2vz Hi Adam, good to hear from you, I often thought of it, my workshop needs a good sort out plus I need to build an Island workbench. I do have plenty of tools and repair or clean up, at the moment I do have a lot of family commitments, I am a carer for my Mum and Dad I'm there every morning ( except today I'm snowed in ) and when I get home I do the same with my wife and my son he has spina bifida but hes doing ok most of the time. On doing a YT channel it's on the shelf, but that means I do take things of the shelf, I'll see how the land lies, Thanks for asking mate, catch you soon Take care

I have a tin full of spiky hooky things like the gasket hooks etc. you show second. Very, very useful! I use them a lot of things. I sometimes take old printers apart (lots of goodies in those) and they are completely indispensable for that! Good for springs, gaskets, etc.

Iv had the halford socket set for over 20yrs.. in that time iv broke two ratchets, took them back to halford and they replaced them instantly.. no quibble.

Honestly, I'm a sculptor and bought a load of these picks etc a while back as optional tools for sculpting and carving. They have been some of the best tools I have bought, not just for sculpting, but for the other menial tasks that you can use them for. I'm often picking them up daily to pick something, clean nails, grab some debris, wangle something.
Unbelievably versatile things.... but beware if storing them upright in a jar or tub. They bite!... and I've been stabbed by the things a ton of times when reaching for one haha

Have a couple of sets of small picks and although they have many uses i highly discourage using them to remove lint/fluff from your phones charging port ............only plastic or wooden picks ,remember the charging port is connected to the phones battery

Just a thought…if these are metal why not try magnetising them for times when that fiddly nut or washer has dropped behind something?
