The Works is normally where I grab batteries, 8 panasonic for a pound. Wife is obsessed with the Christmas lights so goes through them like there is no tomorrow. I did buy the elastic stuff at our local independant discount. I cannot remember what I used it for in the end. The fact I have not found anything fallen off or leaking, then it must have worked. 😂 Thanks for sharing.
@@WeekendShedHead Plug would be great but the lights are a battery for every single candle. press off on remote 50 times while swinging arm and hoping that you get them all. 😂
Hey Rob...... thanks for the video......... I do like to keep a stock of things....... glues etc as theres nowt worse than not having stuff when you need it!
I think Poundland should be renamed "Sometimes a Pound Land". Since the original owners sold the company, more and more items are a lot more than a pound.
Thanks Rob, it takes getting used to the fact that it's not all £1, I still walk round thinking blimey that's a bargain then look at the price - Doh ! Tbh beef they put the prices up it was getting a bit silly with the shrink-flation - smaller and smaller packs of everything - a few years ago you could get 8 tubes of CA glue for £1 ! You've got to remember to compare like with like with the batteries as those Kodak are Alkaline, I don't think the Panasonic were ( Zinc ? ) and don't you think 9 is a funny number for a pack !
Hi Rob, more bargains from Poundland, it's not bad for cheap stuff for the workshop its good for sandpaper, pencils, glue and as you said cheap for LED light bulbs and my good old glue guns. Kinzo paint rollers they are not bad at all and for the price, bargain. Kinzo also make tools, my bench top pillar drill is made by Kinzo and had it for 18-20 years and still works well, I was using it yesterday and give it a good spraying over with WD40 to stop surface rust appearing over the winter months. As always a great video and catch you soon mate, take care
Use the aerosol paint from Poundland on restoring bikes and Old Tools not bad for the price. Can’t see what it looks like when it’s painted as I’m severely visually impaired but it feels pretty good and it seems to last quite awhile
I have a suspicion that cheap branded batteries like your Kodak ones are tthose that don't pass highest quality checks (eg 3 types normal high quality, not best but good enough and total fail so recycle) or long stored ones. Ones I have bought from cheap outlets Kodak, Panasonic etc have some with small blistering on. Used them fine especially on low load items like remote controls but seemed poor of high load xbox controllers. If you do a battery comparison video could you please buy so "identical" expensive Kodak battery and test them under load. Thanks for another great video.
That 151 spray can be hit and miss, had quite a few clogging up recently and some of the Dekton tools from Poundland are absolute shite. Bought a ratchet screwdriver and on first use it disintegrated in my hand.
The one glove... I found myself pottering with just the one rubber glove on last week and the reason for this, my phone kept going off, and it made me think of you, the one glove is so you have control over your camera/phone!?

Very true ! Very little is a £1 in the tool isle now, cheers Rob
The bit that breaks on these Key Ring torches is the bit that attaches to your Key Ring, so you end up keeping the thing in your pocket.
Good point.. I’ll give it the rough use test 😂👍 cheers

I've used a lot of Kodak batteries and they're great value.
I agree, don't waste money on over-expensive Duracell batteries.

The cost comparison on the batteries would be interesting but alkaline v zinc isn't a fair fight. I won't buy zink anymore, just remember zink stink

Who gives a toss about the back of a radiator.
Someone who takes pride in what they are doing? Its not really aboutthe rad though is it? its about the wall as you look down the back of the rad!
If you’re changing the colour of the wall.. it would look quite odd, if you look from the side or from above 🤔 thanks for your opinion though .
