You need to slow down. In a congested city it's reckless to ride at these speeds. You're a wrong move away from seriously injuring or killing someone. It won't harm you at all to slow down a bit.
Loser
Most of these are your fault and a show of your incompetence.
You are a menace.
You still a twat, if you see an idiot, you should assume they are an idiot and use your brakes
Ich hasse Radfahrer:innen
You expect cars to overtake at a certain distance, you should do the same.
@@TaffWilliams I left the cycle lane to pass, I gave the guy the whole cycle lane of space. He tried to block me as his ego didn’t want anybody to pass him (he already had about four other cyclists held up behind him). This is all on him.
You need to slow down and everyone gets a chance to react.
@@davidunwin3416 I’m well below the speed limit, slower than the cars on the same roads. Do you think that the speed limits should be reduced to 10mph for the cars also then?
We need the dutch cycle roads
Watched half of this and all it tells me is that all cyclists are fucking idiots with no regard for anyone...not even themselves
What an imbecile! Imagine if motorists just sped towards cyclists and made moronic noises like how he acts toward pedestrians.
You're both as bad as each other. Why do you have to be in such a tearing hurry. Slow down, show more respect and consideration for other road users especially pedestrians, and above all try cycling with a smile on your face.
Why do you think we’re cycling so fast? In the ffwd section of the video you can see a lorry overtake me. It’s a 30mph road and I’m maybe cycling at 20-25mph max, hence the lorry passing me doing 30mph. Do you think the lorry was tearing around, it over took me, so if you think I was tearing around you must think that lorry driver was a lunatic!
Let's face it, if a vehicle has to give a cyclist at least four clearance when passing them, then no cyclist should ever pass closer than four feet from any vehicle. Sounds like a logical rule to me!
@@donfink7063 Not really. A motor vehicle can easily knock off/crush/kill a cyclist, hence you should ensure to give cyclists 1.5m clearance when passing (especially when at speed). Especially as you don’t know the confidence/skill/experience level of the cyclist who may swerve/wobble. When you’re passing a cyclist, they have no choice to be put in that potentially dangerous situation, so give space. If a cyclist is passing your motor vehicle, they are making a choice to pass, they have the choice to place themselves close to a motor vehicle which is potentially more dangerous, they are not having that situation forced onto them. You’ll tend to find that this means they are more confident/skilled/experienced cyclists less likely to wobble/panic. They are not going to knock you out of your car into the road, or crush/kill you. They present zero danger to you as a driver so you don’t need to worry. Secondly, if they are passing close to you, this likely means that you are slow or stopped so the situation is naturally less dangerous. This is why the rule works one way. The driver poses a lot of danger to the cyclist, the cyclist poses no danger to the driver. 👍🏻
@@ryansedgwick-londoncycling9007 Hey tosser, what is good for the goose is also good for the gander or are you special or something?
Mebee slow down and stop undertaking everything. Graveyards are filled with people who were in the right. 🤷♂️
@@tonyflitton4407 I’m not in a graveyard yet 😉💪🏻 I’m not cycling fast (GoPro gives a false impression of speed). And it doesn’t matter how slow I cycle, drivers/pedestrians still pull/step out on me. To be honest, when you go slower they are more likely to do that to you. My metric is stopping distance, I cycle with fingers on both brake levers at all times, and I don’t get myself into a situation that I can’t get myself out of. 👍🏻
@ryansedgwick-londoncycling9007 "yet" being the operative word here. You seem to get into a lot of "situations". Take care fella.
@@tonyflitton4407 There are a lot of people on the roads not looking where they are going. I don’t leave my fate in their hands however, will very much take care, thank you. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. 👍🏻
With remote working, is there even a need for cities anymore? Surely at least 50% of the people who travel to work in cities in 2024 do not need to do so? This is like a nightmare but it is real life!?
A lot of business still benefits from being done in person, also teams benefit from working together, collaborating, informal Interaction etc. Zoom or Teams calls have their benefits but can’t replace the social element. Lots of companies are requiring staff to be in the office 2, 3, 4 days a week. So I don’t see cities vanishing any time soon, although I also don’t think we’ll go back to how we were pre pandemic either.
@@ryansedgwick-londoncycling9007 All very valid points and agreed. (Sorry, I was being a little provocative in my initial comment.) I do believe that cities can be reimagined and redesigned to some degree, introducing more residential dwellings in city centres.l, then small businesses can continue to exist to service these locals. More Parkland and of course heaps of cycling infrastructure. It actually excites me when I consider the potential changes and the positive impacts such changes could have. Of course though, the policy makers are heavily influenced by donors and commercial property landlords are very powerful people.... BUT if their stock sits vacant they will change their focus, (possibly to residential)? Time will tell; the future can be bright!! All the best and safe cycling to you!
@@DougieL I agree with you, it is exciting to think how cities can change over the next few decades. Lot more residential and more entertainment (vs retail which can largely be done online now). Thank you, was a lovely sunny cycle this morning. Let’s hope this weather holds. 🙂🌞
@@ryansedgwick-londoncycling9007 Ha, good stuff. Yes I keep a beady eye on the weather in England and it has been a pleasant week there. It has here in Sydney Aus too, on the back of some extremely wet weather. (We average more yearly rainfall in Sydney than London BUT ours drops in about a month, vs London drizzle through the year.....)
Why don't you people use a proper velodrome. Arrogant shit biscuit.
Cyclist are a bunch of thugs😅
😅😅😅
You can’t ride
that guy shouldnt have crossed but i think u could have handled that situation a bit better (less aggressively). just an opinion.
My opinion too, I shouldn’t have lost my temper, but I at least pulled it back v quickly. It wasn’t that he stepped put without looking, that happens all the time. It was him accusing me of running the red, when that’s what he did, that flared me up. I ensure I don’t run reds as a cyclist, yet that’s the default argument thrown at cyclists all the time. There are some cyclists that run reds, but the majority don’t.
It is funny how amazingly inconsiderate and stupid most of the cyclists are. They seem to be in a rush to get to their own funeral and are all very very angry people
Chasing that goose at the end was pure comedy 😂
Goose did not care for me trying to save it! 🤣
Great vid lol..
Stupid Cyclist .... no respekt
Scary footage. I’ll stick with public transport 😮
How NOT TO RIDE A BICYCLE..DICKS
Sorry bad cycling
Ryan, i cycle 5-7,000K per annum in London, and i'm not over cautious, some would say a tad reckless, yet i've not had a fraction of the incidents you have managed to be involved in.........just saying
Wow, I’d love to cycle your magical route where drivers never pull out on you without looking, pedestrians never blindly step out etc. 🤣 My videos are complications of footage collected over years. 99% of my cycle commute is incident free, you’re seeing the 1% where other road users ignore the Highway Code.
0:52 I guess I'd use my brakes more often ^^
I didn’t need to use the brakes at 0:52, the pedestrian lights were red, I had the right of way, I made the pedestrian aware of my presence and he stopped and waited. All good. Why would I brake here?
Thanks for posting this highly instructive compilation. o/ Also, nice wink to Daphne Fixed ;)
A lot of cyclist breaking the law
Running red lights only for you to catch up… what’s the point then!
An absolute menace to everyone around him. Ride defensively or not at all. Save that crap for a racetrack.
keep to the left hand side of the lane... Funny, drivers keep telling that to cyclists
Im sorry but you are a bunch of idiots . Get a life.
Try slowing down a bit.
I’m so glad there’s barely any white Londoners any more THEYRE ALL LIKE THIS
Londoners want mass immigration, higher population then at the same time want an entire 2 metres spare at the side of them to ride their little bicycle, sorry but if you want more of us immigrants you’d better get used to us in cars and motorbikes taking our FAMILIES (something you have no idea about) to places and we’re gonna use all the space we can get, regardless of you losers
Damn, most of these commenters are incredibly stupid carbrained weirdos. All your advice is dismissed, your opinions are worthless.
No-one was making their own luck in this video. :(
Seems to me these incidents mostly involve typical aggressive, entitled behaviour by cyclists. Lost interest rapidly
A young cyclist of 17 years old died here 2 day's ago ( sea point, cape Town, South Africa) due to hitting the door carelessly opened by a driver.
So sad, their whole lives ahead of them, snuffed out because some didn’t think or bother to look.
@@ryansedgwick-londoncycling9007 tragic and totally un - freaking - neccesary!! I'm a fire fighter and was in attendance at the call. Hard thing to see!
Quite a few of these were your own fault , does your vision only go 10 metres ?
"morning". "Morning" as they frantically race to their destinations
You need to buy a horn
Childish behaviour.
Dude, you need a really loud horn!!
I wondre what Cycling Mikey would think of the cyclist at 4:35, pulling out in front of the bus like that!
I'm a frequent pedestrian in London and 0:56 happens all the time. A minority of cyclists and a smaller minority of drivers think they are exempt from Rule 105 of the Highway Code, for some reason. But London has a higher concentration of morons than most places in the UK.
I’d have said a good many of those incidents were caused by the cyclists. And most of them show how UNsafe cycle lanes are, especially when the users believe they have an inviolable right of way.
