    That’s just textbook moped. You can see them thinking often as you approach ‘im stuck behind this car. I’m just going to swerve out suddenly and find a way through’. Honestly you’re basically a car, stop acting like you can nip through traffic. If I was mayor, motorbikes would have to act just like cars.

      @ryansedgwick-londoncycling9007  Рік тому

      No driver, regardless of vehicle, just sits there if there’s a gap they can get through. Car drivers are no different, I see them squeezing through where-ever they can. So cyclists and mopeds etc. are acting the same as car drivers, just that our smaller vehicles give us more opportunity.
      Also the Highway Code permits two wheeled vehicles to filter through slow moving traffic. 🙂👍🏻

    You're absolutely right he should be in the middle of the lane so other cyclists can pass (and its safer for all concerned), i think you did slightly come in too early when you passed, which probably got to close to his front tyre (mistakes happen). But after that his ego kicked in, coupled with he didnt like being overtaken and then his anger fuelled a pis@ing contest to a stupid level. (which you were a bit guilty off to a small degree also).
    Particularly loved him busting the zebra crossing just to get passed you while someone was on it. You respectfully stopped

    • @ryansedgwick-londoncycling9007
      @ryansedgwick-londoncycling9007  Рік тому

      If you look again, I never turned back in once I passed him. The cycle lane moves out right, away from the pavement to go around a bus stop. So I don’t turn, I keep straight. All he had to do was stay straight also. Sp there’s even less for him to complain about. 😉 And yeah, he doesn’t give a damn about the zebra crossing rules either! 🤦🏻‍♂️

    I've always enjoyed your videos so I'm glad to see you back. I think as road users we all make mistakes, but some of these ones on here are just highly arrogant or maybe just oblivious to their actions. Anyway, I look forward to seeing some more of your videos!

      Thank you very much, so glad you enjoy them. I’ve certainly made my mistakes in the past. Hope by flagging some of the behaviour you see out on the roads, some who view my videos may think twice next time they are driving, crossing the road, or indeed cycling. 🙂👍🏻

    Putney bridge is packed at the best of times. Best wishes from a fellow cyclist. I recently moved greenwich way but used to live in wimbledon.

      Best wishes to you too! Yeah Putney Bridge is always a low point in my commute, especially since Hammersmith Bridge was taken out of action. Wandsworth Bridge is closing for repairs during the summer holidays so I can only imagine that’ll make Putney Bridge even more congested…
      I hope you’re enjoying Greenwich 🙂👍🏻

    Simple if a bus is coming the other way and it has to use the oncoming lane to make a safe pass you was riding your bike in a manor classed as unsafe and anything could interrupt your fradgile bike.you had to move out of the way .......thats bad news on your self entitled behalf

    • @ryansedgwick-londoncycling9007
      @ryansedgwick-londoncycling9007  5 місяців тому

      So let me get this straight, you think it’s correct to risk a head on impact just to overtake someone?
      If you want to move into the oncoming traffic lane to overtake, you don’t feel you should wait for a safe gap? Just plough ahead and leave it for the oncoming traffic to swerve out of your way? And you call me entitled! 🤣🤦🏻‍♂️

    • @Mr.1.i

      @ryansedgwick-londoncycling9007 you was in the middle of the road ......where you should not be and you got hustled by the bus to move left

      @@Mr.1.i Why can’t I be in the middle of the road? What rule am I breaking? The traffic is queued there up to Putney Bridge and I keep to the right hand side to filter pasted the queued traffic.
      Secondly the bus driver has no right to drive at oncoming traffic in the wrong lane. That’s never ok. Seems you need to have a good read of the Highway Code my friend! 😉🤣

      @ryansedgwick-londoncycling9007 you was riding along the road markings the bus was in the way even if it was not overtaking ....you was hustling and riding a bit dangerous out of 1 street into another at high risk there could be anything jumping a red light

      @ryansedgwick-londoncycling9007 look mate you on a 4kn bike and you need an extra Meyer around parked cars so if I want to overtake you I need to veer 3meters why don't you take secondry position at .5m from the kerb side to allow faster moving traffic to pass safley

      @@ryansedgwick-londoncycling9007 I know.
      I came across 6 officers this morning. Paid for policing, in this case a comercial company had bought them for revenue collection.
      Meanwhile lots of other offences committed all around them and they ignore it.
      Offences that I know have caused one cyclist to be hospitalised for 3 months just before christmas. A neighbour and friend now needs a career to help him shop because of a hit and run.
      But the police won't act.

      @@Nickle314 Crazy, if the police actually enforced the road laws they’d make their annual budget in fines within a week!

    • @Nickle314
      @Nickle314 Рік тому

      @@ryansedgwick-londoncycling9007 I posted a 5 min video, with the analysis. 100K in fines in just 5 minutes. £1.2 million an hour, and in that period I was unlucky. No e-bikes, so missed out on the £10,300 in fines and the 20 points.
      The real problem however is the damage. One neighbour I hadn't seen since Christmas. Last week I found out why. He now needs someone to take him shopping in a wheel chair because someone on a e-bike hit him on the pavement at speed. A hit and run. A couple of months in hospital, 5 hour plus operations.
      Then a 100 meters away a cyclist got mashed - and that's the right word. 3 months in hospital. Lucky to be alive. Got hit by a car. The cyclist jumped the red.
      This was on a cycle route, so all the money demanded for infrastructure in place and they still can't obey the law.
      I know of at least two other cases of people being hit by cyclists on the pavement.
      So what's going to happen? It's that Ulez zone. AI to detect the offences is trivial. High resolution cameras to photograph the faces. Then after a couple of months, an operation or two, catch the offenders. Names, addresses, photographs of them, their bikes etc. £100 fine
      Then you feed that photograph into the system, and bingo, another 500 offences pop up, with the evidence. A quick check, tick the boxes, and off goes that letter.
      Lots of cyclist will get £50K of fines and more. You've seen it, I've seen it.
      Plus its a magistrates fine, so you can't get out of it by going bankrupt.
      Cyclists are the new money source for Sadiq as he bankrupts TFL - again.
      And I'm quite serious about that.

    • @Nickle314
      @Nickle314 Рік тому

      @@ryansedgwick-londoncycling9007 Here's a question. What percentage of cyclists need to be fined for, say, red light jumping to get it to stop?
      What percentage need to be fined multiple times before they stop?
      Similarly for e-bikes, what percentage to be crushed before the message gets through?
      Buy the way, their usual excuse, I bought it so it must be legal. And you can buy cocaine, but that doesn't make it legal.
