With no AGP slot, I'd be sorely tempted to treat it as a kind of "Super Socket 5" board. Throw in a PPGA Mendocino core Celeron at 300mhz and run Windows 95B on it.

Try cleaning the CPU slot and RAM slots using some IPA and then some Deoxit or Lanox (Lanolin spray oil). It might work.

It's the rocker power switch that is so satisfying on my Dell 425s/L identical to your 466,i. Just something about that mechanical switch, which will never be experienced again on any new computer. The ram count up is pretty sweet too. Mine also has a 5.25 floppy that seeks at startup to add a couple more taps to the mechanical orchestra.

Some capacitors I saw needed replacement. Also you can flash the bios within windows, there are tools for that. Very impressive finding a 9800gt without needind extra power.

I now have a pit in my stomach that I threw out an artifacting Cirrus CL5480 that might have been recoverable, back when I was a big fan of Cirrus logic. I'd had a 5428 VLB, a 5446 was my first PCI card, some 5465's turned up and I might even still have one in a box, but this was the first 5480 I'd seen (from a bargain bin at a computer fair), saw the same stall at the next one, and lamented the failure but accepted it was pot luck, but the guy said they should all be working, pick another .... found a Matrox Millennium 2
