- In this video, I share the incredible story of my recent PC purchase from Facebook Marketplace that only cost me £2! Join me as I take you through the journey of exploring this unbelievable find, starting with a quick overview of the system before tearing it apart for cleaning and reassembling it. I then installed Windows XP and put the PC to the test by trying out a variety of games from the 2000s to see what it's capable of.

Top of the line around 2011/2012, one of my favourite cases. I have the white full tower version.

Was a bargain! Its a monolithic thing! I really like nzxt stuff for my modern machines too. A decent gpu should make all the difference xp wise, will be a cool machine for those games.
It is massive! Got a few options GPU wise already, trying to hunt down a better CPU for a good price!
Just remember to plug the audio cables in to the right jack ;)

Looks like maximum support is 4GB, and if you're running XP 32 bit (64 bit was a rare thing), the barrier above 2GB can be surprisingly low, I couldn't even get all of 3GB.
Yea its 32bit. I was aware of the 4gb limit but have not tried to go that far yet. IIRC my XP PC of the time had 4gb but only showed 3.5gb in windows.
@@ljrretropcs you can still make a ram disk with any un accessible ram in xp I think, so it doesnt need to go to total waste. Might be fun to see it that makes any difference to anything.
Easily rectified with the XP memory patch.

£2 could of got you a hot sausage company hot dog. This man however spends the £2 on a PC.
The hot sausage will only give you temporary pleasure. This PC will give many more hours of fun for £2 ;)

Remember those rounded IDE Cables? Looks like a Copy of a Coolermaster case. Maybe it is a Coolermaster?
Its an NZXT 410 I actually found it written on the front in the end 🤣

Did you find out what make that cpu fan is?
I did not, I also broke it slightly when I fitted it so it may never come off again 😬
