Mikes Comics is definitely in New Baltimore, not St Clair Shores. Great shop though, they've been open for over 20 years.

Prime Time is in Lake Orion, 20 miles south of Lapeer where you said it was located. But Mike didn't let you film inside so I guess he gets what he deserves 😅

This is on my list of things to read but I already own something is killing the children so I'll read that first. Appreciate the review!

Man this takes me back, I grew up just a couple miles from Comic Relief and the big Spider-Man sign on Fenton road blew my mind as a kid lol. I've still got my little pile of old Spider-Man comics I got from there about 25 years ago 😎 good times! Keep up the awesome work! It's always good to see a fellow Michigander making content 😀

Goldmine is normaly more organized on there Graphic novels, i havent been in a while but, thats my shop because Rock is awsome, had you talked to him, there's nothing he cant look up and get you if you need it for a back issue if they dont have it. they've been around for 50 years give or take it was my dads old shop when he stopped smoking along with Lange's when there used to be one on Alpine, that one mostly dealt with Sports cards at the time thats what i know Langes for. But lets support these local hobby shops, dont buy online if you dont have to, Every store thats been around for a long time that might be mom and pop handed down, there worth it for the community and the hobby, Like mine for Model kits though they have slowed down on there sci'fi section a bit these days is and always will be Ryders on 28th street, they have trains/RC car stuff/ they have started to dable in the board game side of things. and a ton i mean a ton of Warhammer paints/ you name it. All the model/train guys will give you the best tips and have been working there for 40 some years, on anything you need to know about painting or having an issue with it. great video. keep up the good work my friend.

Nice House on the Lake is the best comic series I've read in years. Haven't read the new series yet, I might wait until the deluxe edition comes out, I haven't decided yet.

We are so spoiled in South West Michigan as we have some of the best comic shops around. With Fanfare, Rocket Comics and Perfect Storm within good range. Such a great job and allowing us to walk through all of these amazing shops. I appreciated your detailed reports on each, as comic lovers we are excited to visit some of the other stores in our area we were not aware of until your video. I go broke every time I walk into Fanfare. Although the most I've ever apent at a comic shop was at Rocket last month during a huge sale they had.

Comic Relief in Flint has a lot of nights where they push some stuff over and have magic the gathering tournaments/board game days. I used to live across the street from it. I now live by Summit in Lansing, and it's my go-to spot for everything. They also do game nights in the back area and do a lot of bargain sales where they pull a bunch of stuff and make it 50% off.

@KurtWilliamsReviews - I was born, raised and still live near Flint, Mi. - Comic Relief used to be around the corner from where it is in this video. When I was a kid, some guy tried robbing them at gunpoint for an Avengers #1 and killed the clerk/owner. Eventually someone else bought the shop and moved it to a different building to escape the lore...

I haven't read Nice House on the Lake yet but very much enjoyed the first issue of By the Sea

Outer limits is gone

When i was deepest in my comic buying days I went to Green Brain every single week because i worked nearby, and they are INCREDIBLE. So friendly and genuinely interested in helping you navigate the store.

Well done. I've visited nearly all of these shops and I only have to disagree on Coy's. They have some shady business practices so I've avoided going there all together. Funny you went on St. Patrick's Day. I did that once and they were giving away Jell-O shots. Not cool, especially since they devote a space just for little kids. Their staff is also fairly grumpy, spiteful, and pretentious (almost as pretentious as Vault). And they diverted from great comics to toys stacked to the ceiling. Really not a fan of that place. My top five are Fanfare, Comic Signal, Cashman's, Galaxy, and Summit. Lange's took a dive for a bit there but it looks like they've recovered and I need to go back!

As Chelsea residents, we're spoiled to have 2 comic shops in town. Secret Crisis is the better spot for comics and card and fantasy games like Lorcana, Magic, D&D. Clocktower is more of a trading card shop with a comic section, lots of sports cards and Pokemon TCG. Both are great shops and the owners are heavily involved in the community beyond just their storefronts.

As a Michigander, this helps a lot, Thank you for doing this!

My favorite comic shop in Michigan was Phantom comics I believe that’s what it was called, was right next Nama karate would stop after my karate class every once in a while.

I went into Goldmine in Wyoming on a few occasions, and I was always ignored. No employee said hello or asked if I was looking for anything in particular. The store never had any customers when I was in there too, and the employees were talking amongst themselves (every visit I made was pre-COVID too). On the other hand, the Comic Signal owner is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. You want to support that place and see them thrive because they're doing it completely right.

I cant believe comics archives has been closed since 2011 and got mentioned twice in the comments. Miss my peeps from there. ❤ great video! This is very good content.

I am not into comics at all, but I was pumped to see The Comic Signal. Then I google it and see that I live like 3 miles away! I'm definitely going there soon
