I think that with Kaya, Wes Craig is trying to change the comic game a little bit. First of all, the little summaries on each issue of Kaya are reminiscent of the early comic taglines (BEWARE THIS MONSTER) but actually pack in a lot more plot information. It's easy to understand what's supposed to be going on issue to issue. As you've said, he's also worked hard on making stories feel a little more self-contained; making stories this way helps readers a lot by giving them something to eat every single issue, and making arcs feel complete. I really hope Kaya teaches other comics lessons (focus on punchy adventure stories / simple character drama; give each issue a classy tagline at the bottom to summarize the story; work on community building etc.)
I've been wanting a channel just like this for so long. I need recommendations that isnt just super hero stuff. This seems more in line with graphic novel style artwork
Never heard of it, but the art looks very interesting. Lately I've been trying to step out of the Marvel and DC superhero sphere, and this looks like a great way to do it.
O desenho e a narrativa gráfica me pegou.
Sold! And subbed! Good sht man. I appreciate it. I’m always looking for something new and unique to get into and I don’t typically read super hero comics. This looks great.
I’m brand new to your channel as of this video. I live in Michigan, so I’m interested in seeing your Michigan shops video. (I manage a collectibles shop in Michigan that sells a lot of back issue comic books.) I had never heard of Kaya, but thanks to you, I’ll be checking it out. Blessings.
The comic looks pretty good, but the part about buying single issues to show companies that the book is popular. Awesome comment. We don't need good series being canned and generic one's continuing.

Your copy od Reinventing Comics is on a different shelf than your Understanding Comics and Making Comics. Fix it. Then move Zot over so you have a McCloud section. Then get The Sculptor.
