I stumbled upon the Ka-52 mod few days ago, and got hooked. Made me re-learn the Ka-50. Great video. Also love to see night ops in the Ka-50, a rare thing. I fly the Mi-24P most of the time, so Petro helps out a lot in night time.

Very interesting video. I agree that the KA-50 is not the best choice in night ops, but I did a run last night during dark hours and was actually able to find targets in urban lit areas, although it took some effort to find a target. Nonetheless it was quite fun and a challenge. So on conclusion the KA-50 can be utilized in lit urban areas, even when its dark. I also used the enemy tracer fire to pinpoint possible enemy positions and intending to rocket barrage the area. But I was shot at before I got the chance. Oof. I just fired up the Ka-50 after a long time away to check out the Kola map in style and suddenly having this NAV ERROR problem. Thought maybe I'd forgotten some part of the startup.

I just flew half an hour atleast through the mountains of caucasus, always over speed ofc. and then when I tried to slow down I suddenly lost engine 1 and then when I noticed it and slowed down further I lost 2 aswell and ejected :c

Hi, is it worth getting KA50 over the Hind for multiplayer air to air PVP on Enigma and Contention servers? I use Petrovich AI to find enemy helicopters for me. I suppose finding enemy choppers with KA50 (playing solo) would be a much more difficult thing to do? Thanks!

Any update on this? After a few years, I dug up the shark again. Now I heard about the V3-update (missed the discount)... Is it worth it beside of the new MWS? The cockpit graphics seem to be unchanged or have been updated in V2 as it seems.

The thing that really bothers me is how stiff the ai is. Id like to see some randomized dynamic movement, (arms flailing, jumping over stuff, better running animations, diving into the dirt to get cover) and better skeletons. Right now they move like poorly lubricated battledroids. I can almost swear that i hear a distant volley of "ROGER ROGER" right before they turn around and start engaging. The movement absolutely kills my immersion.

Can I get some tips for "look and lock" I don't find this to be that simple and would love to know how I keybind or what i need to do to get a lock, I can't seem to be steady enough. Maybe a me issue but if you have any tips I'll take it :)

I've owned the Black Shark for a couple years but never really got into it. Now with Black Shark 3 I'm starting to learn to fly on the hoggit training server and I never 100% got the autopilot/trim to work the way I wanted it. I always tried to fly into a direction while NOT holding the trim key and then just bouncing around in the air trying to gain control. Never realized you had to hold down the trim button while turning. I wonder how it looked like yesterday evening to the Apache pilot, I ended up crashing into the ground because it just got worse. Thanks for this video, it was really really helpful for someone who's completely new to helicopters!
