    Locking rotors causes incorrect range the most (range of background).
    I've found during PvP dogfights it's actually better not to lock, because the unpredictable movement etc and they can get out of view. Targeting mode reset then use the cannon pipper. Also bullets don't lead locked targets as well as you can lead manually. But can still track with the head holding the slave button in alot of cases.

    For counter-copter, I prefer 2xGSh-23L coupled with 1x2A42-30, I call this config BMSU 30-1/23-4 (don't laugh 🤨).. Yeah is a distortion but it creates an impenetrable curtain of bullets in point-blank range.

      Seen (or rather experienced) people using that. Think more notably in that ancient happenstance airquake vid. But not sure it's much more effective than a boresighted cannon. I.e. if you couldn't lock, sure, it's way more firepower. But if you could, probably from further out, then the 2A42 alone does a far greater job (IMO).

      Well, you might get the pipper showing where to lead/target for elevation, but it doesn't do that itself - so you have to fly to have it hit.
