    Just about everything about these Samsung front loaders screams: "Frustrating to work on!"
    I have the identical machine in white, and I dread the next repair on it.
    Thanks for the repair footage on this machine. I'm sure it will come in handy later.
    On the other hand, working on my rental's 1987 Kenmore top loader was kinda fun...😁

    Chip, great video. That’s great that you are able to bring some of these machines back to your shop where you have lots of room to work on them. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
    Sometimes when doing this job I find it easier to take off the screws holding the door lock to the front panel and leave it connected to the wiring harness.

      G'day from S. Ca. We are having a whole lot of rain here. Usually have drought. Anyway, I was wondering how you keep your fur baby Walli off the lease? Those visiting fur babies sure like to hang out around you. Those pups sure use your place to get around. Be ever so careful they don't cause you to trip over. I'm not really watching too much of what your doing on this machine, mine is the old Kitchenaide. But I do like to see how those visiting pups just chill out while your working. I miss Amana.

    I watch and support your channel, you do a great job. I have a similar mom and pop shop in Texas. I broke down and bought a lift cart from HF. Really helps these old knees!

      LOL, does that thing work for you? I looked at them but thought wrestling a machine onto it wouldn't be worth the trouble. If you recommend it I may reconsider. Thanks for watching!

      @@HarperandKnowlesyes sir… the feet fit just outside the platform edge. I actually bought it to install built in ovens. I seem to buy helper tools more than employ helpers. The tools are never late to work! 😂

    It is because of washing machines like that that there are still top-loading washing machines, where changing the pump would have taken you 5 minutes at most. You have a lot of patience, in my case I would have thrown her off a ravine.

    We've got a washer we're trying to salvage. Thought drain tube was just clogged but we cleaned it and it still won't drain. Instead it just fills up the drum and drips from the top of where the door closes. Not sure at all what's going on with it

      Your pump is probably bad. As far as the drip I don’t know about that.

    I ordered a new used board and wiring harness for my machine as my old one caught fire. As I was installing the wiring I noticed my old pump has a 3 pin connector, but the harness is only a 2 pin… is there a way to splice the wiring to still have the motor work? I think it’s because the new used was a regular washer and my unit had the speed wash setting

      I think I answered my own question today when I found out I ordered a 120v board And my washer uses dc 12v. However the 3 pin is for the “super speed” setting on the washer. And yes it does need it. so Instead I had ordered a new 2 pin motor 12v and board. Installed and all works now

    lol dude, you could have easily accessed the pump from the bottom of the washer by tipping it on its side!!😅

      @HarperandKnowles  5 місяців тому +1

      Lol, dude!! There is a solid plate covering the bottom of this washer with a small square hole to work in. It's difficult for me to access it that way. Thanks for watching!

      Hi there I don’t mean any harm but he is correct. I just did mine. I flipped it over and can access it from the bottom. You do have to take the front drain cover off then pop the back cover off behind it with a flat head screw driver. Then behind the back cover is 2 screws that hold it and that’s it. Pop the clamped hoses off then wiggle it loose and that’s it. Again no harm just trying to help.

      I find it easier to do it my way. Especially when I’m in someone’s small laundry room. These are also often paired with pedestals, and it would be more of a pain to remove them. I find working through that little square hole annoying. Thanks for watching!
