3/8/23 I just get my drain pump replaced. Took me 2.5 hours from start to finish. Much easier than I expected. Mine is somewhat different than this model, but not difficult to figure out how to do. Thank you for this video

Very good. I had to use a flat blade screw driver to get the left side of the front panel over the locking tab. Everything was spot on. Thank you.

@@appliancepartspros We took our Samsung washer to Ecuador with us and I am following your steps, and everything was fine until the removal of the control panel on the front, the clips are impossibly long on the Samsung DC97-20621A and is not allowing it to fold open, any suggestions?

Great video. I've replaced a heating element in my dryer, so when my washer wouldn't drain I wasn't too intimidated. But let me just say that I'm a 60 yr old woman who managed this all alone, so anyone can do this. I even had a rusted screw that was seized, but with some silicone spray and a lot of effort got that loose. Let me just say that when you open these machines up you realize how little there really is to them. Go for it and follow the video - it's spot on. (BTW, my washer had a lot of water that never got pumped out and I had to thoroughly drain it all first. Luckily, my washer is on a stand so I placed a kitchen trash can beneath the drain opening and let 'er rip. I would suggest that you make sure to do this just in case, like mine, there is more left in there than one realizes)

Excellent video. Was able to follow along perfectly. Only step I skipped was disconnecting the wires to the mother board. After I unattached the mother board, i simply just layed the piece on top of washer leaving the plugs attached

I have to agree with all the comments. This video was amazing! I replaced the drain pump and saved a ton of money! Thank you!! The only thing I’ll add is I couldn’t a pump with assembly on Amazon, so I just ordered the pump, cleaned the assembly a bit (it wasn’t bad), and out the new pump on. Works like a champ!! Great instructions and very clear indeed! Thank you SO MUCH!!

I saw another video, they tilted the washer back, accessed and only changed the motor on the pump assembly from the bottom. No top removal, control panel removal, gasket removal or front panel removal or hose removal was required. Just the motor from the pump assembly.

Very good video. Samsung defies logic by placing the drain pump at the front of the washer and this video instructs you how to get to it. Thankfully I didn’t need to replace my pump as it was just clogged. Somehow some obstruction got past the filter.

VERY HELPFUL - I actually just needed to get to the drain hose to remove an object that was behind the filter and clogging things up. Was most worried about the drum spring clamp as you can't really see it until it pops off and you hope you put it back in the right place. So far, no water on floor so I guessed right. Thanks for posting the video!!

For the front, there are two additional screws that must be unscrewed from underneath.
Additionally, the left of the two tabs that hold the top of the front on, is either poorly designed or poorly manufactured- the tab actually came thru and over the front panel top slot - we had to pry it very forcefully to get the top front to separate from the chassis.
This washer is not designed for maintenance.
The video otherwise is very helpful and appreciated

If the noise is only happening during the spin cycle and it sounds like an airplane taking off then that is going to be bad bearings. If you have a bad drain pump than that is going to be a completely different issue.

There are three screws on the front door panel, you have to tip the machine back reach under and unscrew them or you'll never get the front door panel off. Example one position were a screw is on that metal tab that is sticking out on the bottom left at 8:15
