Upper Body Stretches - Intermediate Flexibility Flow (Back, Chest & Shoulders)

  • Hi friends! This class is a compilation of some of my favorite upper body stretches and drills to help increase not only flexibility, but strength and mobility as well. We will be focusing on the upper back, chest and shoulders for this sequence.
    You will need 1 yoga strap (substitute with a shirt, towel, belt or scarf) and 2 yoga blocks. I really like the cork blocks the best as I find they're sturdy and offer the most support.
    I'll be offering modifications throughout this class for you to play around with. Please remember to listen to your body and never force yourself into a stretch or pose that you aren't ready for. This flow is designed for you to come back to and practice on a regular basis.

    Since this quarantine has started, my mum and I have been taking your classes everyday. I've been really loving the way you teach yoga: it's not just about the poses and workout, but also the mental state.       You do realize that these are just yoga stretches right lol😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣.You need actual exercise.

    this is my first time doing yoga with you, you're a fantastic instructor! it would be awesome if you did a similar video with upper body/arms specific stretches at the end since we worked them to support the body while doing the previous stretches, thank you!

    After doing this sequence just one time the horrendous pain in my neck subsided tremendously. I had been performing stretches for my neck and back, but not until I incorporated these shoulder stretches did I feel any relief. Thank you, thank you! I have since been doing several of the stretches morning and night and am improving daily. It was a sign when this showed up in my recommended videos list. Love everything you do for us!!

    I love this one. It's great for degenerative disc disease of the spine. Tonight this video gave me enormous relief and started me towards recovering a disc episode in my upper back. Thank you for the holistic pain relief!

    19/1/23 done in the AM 😌🙏🏾🆒. Unfortunately I didn't have yoga blocks 😔 but hope to purchase month 🔚😸🙏🏾. The entire practice was incredible 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾 especially extended puppy pose with lifting knees off the floor 💪🏾, I thought my back would crack 😸😸😸. Gracias Jessica 😚😻😇

    Great class Jessica! I have been sitting at my desk so much lately and this loosened me up so much so that my evening can be more relaxing. I did have to modify a few back bends and I did stay in pontoon pose for some extra time. That's one one of my favorites to loosen my low back and hip flexors. Thank you for such a focused class!     I am so glad that I found you. I have been having pain in my deltoid and it is messing with my push-ups and raising my arm overhead. After your video my pain has lightened up. I am going to continue to do this video along with my strengthening exercises and see if I can rehabilitate this left shoulder. Thank you so much Jessica. The class was awesome.
