Welcome to THE perfect pranayama practice to relieve stress & reset your nervous system all with the power of your breath! If you’re not familiar with pranayama (aka yogic breathing exercises), it’s a powerful yoga limb that can help you cope with all sizes of life changes, like becoming a new mom & learning how to live even after months of sleep deprivation (yes, I’m talking about myself lol). Whenever you need a reset, pull this daily pranayama class out of your toolkit and use it stat.

Hi Allie, Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom with us. I enjoy your classes. I've heard it said that if you do this pranyama before bed you should only do the left side as it is calming. The right side is more energetic. What are your thoughts on this? Thank you🧘
You're correct! Traditionally in yoga you would only do the left side to calm, however to reset the system we need a bit of both - calmness & agitation - to find our balance in the middle, aka resetting the nervous system back to homeostasis. But, I'm also a firm believer in "you do you", because ultimately I want you to use this practice in a way that works for you.

Boy was staying on the mat and completing pranayama was sooo difficult for me!but thanks to you Allie I did it 😅 and it made me reflect on how we get swept along in this fast fast paced world and don’t really know it’s happening as it is so normalised in our society . I felt so much anger in masculine side, tension around the jaw, like that whole side of my face was tiger- I tried to vision my feminine side comforting this side, and it softened into an energy of honour, could not stop my jaw from wanting to shake and bite thou. Very primal and real !
