Sorry to hear you have stage 4☹️ Please pray for healing from our Lord Jesus daily. Please also look up metabolic therapy and Dr. Thomas N. Seyfried. He teaches Cancer Metabolism at Boston College. He makes total sense. I could listen to him all day, he's filled with so much knowledge and has been very successful with knocking out this disease. Also look up Fenbendazole and Joe Tippens and his protocol. Fascinating as well and Dr. Seyfried mentions this drug along with Mebendazole in his interviews also. Joe Tippens took Fenbendazole and healed his terminal cancer with it.

Professor Seyfried says if you water fast for 30 days most cancers are eliminated from your body. My wife has stage 4 bowel cancer , terminal Blah blah blah. Standard of care did nothing . Started metabolic therapy in I’d January 2024 with a CEA of 30. 9 weeks in lymph nodes are normal tumour has greatly reduced. No pain. Walking 10k a day with dog. CEA now 4. Normal is 2.5. She fasts 5 days and eats 9 days. In her case Autophagy has only helped , otherwise she would be dead or have a higher CEA reading. We are not far off having no visible signs of cancer. Anyone wanting our plan or method feel free to ask. It’s not easy but works. Professor Seyfried’s advice has saved her life.

I refuse to believe our brilliant bodies don't know how to kill cancer in hyper healing state. I know people who have had tremendous success with fasting and cancer reduction. We would all really appreciate a more elaborate discussion on autophagy suddenly making cancer worse, which vastly contradicts information from other videos. Thank you, I appreciate your videos. 🙏

I agree I have only heard good things about autopgahy and reducing cancer. This is the first time I heard of it making it worse. Doesnt really make sense. Studies show that body attacks waste products during autophagy including tumors. There are many stories of people fasting and curing cancer. Please speak on this more elaborately. Doesn’t make sense.

I have a stage 4 hodkins lymphoma cancer. I have already had ABVD (chemo) last year and at the beginning of this year was told i have 3 swollen lymph nodes (cancerous); one lymph node i can physically feel on the left of my neck.
I didnt have a clue that traditional herbal medicine even existed for cancer before. Until i came accross Dr Bergs interviews with cancer patients and then i binge watched all his videos.
So, for the past 3 and a half months i have been doing either a 3,4 or 5 day prolonged fast each week. I havent quite got myself to doing longer than this yet but i do want to.
Some of these fasts have been dry fasts.
I have taken all the inhibitors Dr Berg reccomends (although i can increase my apigenin intake with extra greens).
When i eat, its usually cruciferous vegetables like cauliflower or broccoli with a small portion of protein.
I drink a herbal tea thrice a day with:
    Dandelion root
    Olive leaf
    Soursop
    Turmeric
    Ginger
    Pomegranate peel
    Astragalus
    Cleavers
    Red clovers
    Green tea
    Cinnamon
    Burdock root
    Poke root
    Nettle seeds
    Hibiscus
    Echinacea
Squeezed with lemon in the end
I also daily take around 5-6 cloves or garlic
Green smoothie with matcha, Swiss chard, cucumbers, lemon one day and the next day a red smoothie with beets, carrots and grapefruit
Also, have made an extract of lemon, orange and grapefruit peel. So, I take 2 tablespoons of that in the morning and evening now.
Twice a day i take a tablespoon of blackseed oil and apricot bitter kernels (2 in am and 2 in pm)
I start my morning with apple cider vinegar.
Initially my lymph node on the neck was around 3cm (determined after a PET scan) and it felt the same when i measured it with my fingers. After doing the above for about a month i felt it reduced drastically to around 1.5 cm.
But since ive had the virus/flu towards the end of my second month, i feel the size of the stagnant lymph node changes.. sometimes it seems enlarged and other times reduced.
Im still adament i dont want to go for another round of chemo. My oncologist, after my relapse suggested i take ICE chemo (which is stronger than ABVD), with a bone marrow transplant and immunotherapy. The effects of ABVD were destructive for me, im still suffering from a lot of damage internally including digestive problems and bone/joint weakness. So thats a no for me.
I will continue to persist with this route. Currently, am making an oil infused with poke root. Takes some weeks before this oil can be potent enough to dissolve cysts, tumors, stagnant lymph nodes, helps with psoriasis also. Will update once ive used this-excited about this.
All the herbs and supplements i use can be found in a link under my bio. This is what I've been using in my journey so far.
    Edit: 6th June 2024
I received my PET scan results and they show the following:
    1. Left supraclavicular lymphadenopathy (lymph node):
    - Increased in size but decreased in FDG activity: The lymph node in the left supraclavicular region has grown larger, but its metabolic activity (FDG uptake) has decreased. This change may indicate a response to treatment or a decrease in inflammation.
    2. Anterior mediastinal lymph node:
    - Decreased in size and FDG activity: The lymph node in the front part of the chest has shrunk in size, and its metabolic activity has also decreased. Again, this could suggest a positive response to treatment or resolution of inflammation.
    3. Spleen:
    - Now normal in size: Previously, the spleen was enlarged, but it has returned to a normal size. This could indicate resolution of whatever condition was causing the enlargement.
    4. No new lymphadenopathy identified: There are no new abnormal lymph nodes detected in the imaging studies.
Overall, these findings suggest positive changes, such as a reduction in the size and metabolic activity of affected lymph nodes, as well as normalization of spleen size.
I will continue my protocol to get the lymph node on my collar bone down in size and FDG activity too (God willing). I have also incorporated hijama (wet cupping) every month. It seems to be helping also.

Thank you for sharing and giving us an insight on how you manage your health and illness- it’s very strong of you to face and fight it , whilst acknowledging different types of food and herbal medicine- my father suffered cancer and realised that sugar was making it worse for him - so when he stopped taking refined and tempting processed food the cancer did not progress and he did not go for a second round of chemo - he felt better and would say that I don’t feel sick like I did many years ago - he incorporated herbal medication and it did work for him

hey. If you are referring to deep breathing exercises, rebounding, dry brushing, tapping, hot/cold showers, castor oil packs and lemon water; I am doing all of this daily as well as my herbal regimen.
So, my oncologist is on board with everything I'm doing now. He will PET scan me next month to see if my lymph nodes have reduced in size and SUV activity. He said if it's not grown I'd take that as a positive and my regimen as being the reason for the growth to stop. Also, he said it the SUV number has gone down which shows how hyper active the cancerous cells are- then that will also be a positive.
      Praying for everyone's healing 🤲

My dad did 10am-6pm intermittent fasting. Almost liquid diet for 20 days. Weight dropped but so did the liver tumor. Morning- lemon water with Celtic salt, tumeric/garlic/ginger water, neem+soursop tea, fruits and nuts bowl and then green juice and veggie soup in the afternoon. Go heavy on antiparasitic food and supplements. When i tell you that tumor shrunkkkkk and dr was shocked. Within only 20 days (it was 22cm) so it was visible on his right side sticking out like a football and then just about gone. He’s doing a modified 20 more days. He says he can’t feel anything hard anymore.

Try mashed up broccoli sprouts. After 15 minutes, supposedly, the shattered cells release chemicals the make sulforaphane, a natural insecticide. The first time I took it, all 15 of my moles quickly dried up and fell off. Got to be careful with fasting though, and a high fat diet, as some cancers eat fat, not sugar. Easy to find out what type yours consumes. This process is so powerful because ALL the potential sulforaphane is already in the seed. Greatest health benefit are in the sprouts, then the stalk, then the leaves, and finally there is a tiny residual amount in the florets. Be careful though as too munch can also trigger a psychotic break. Be by your self when you first take them, or better still, be with someone you want out of your life, permanently. Intermittent fasting is dangerous for people with a lot of comorbidities, and can trigger rapid cancer spread. The time to heal one self is RIGHT NOW, before it is too late.

Since there are many Cancer Patients who do very well with very agressive stage 4 terminal cancers doing Prof.Seyfrieds protocol of keto diat and fasting , i think that dr.Eric Berg theorie of autophagie feeding cancer is wrong.
The only problem is that fasting and keto is not enough, you have also to supress glutamine .
Prof.Seyfried says.that Cancer can only ferment and can only ferment glucose and glutamine.Thats it basicly.Cancer will go away or it will be so weak and small that then you can kill him with small less toxic dose of chemo or radiation.

Dear Dr. Berg, please clarify cancer versus autophagy for people, most of us are confused. My understanding is the following: everybody (that is healthy) has cancer cells to some degree, a healthy body is able to clear the cancer cells up naturally with its immune system. If the cancer cells group together and make another "organism", that is where the problem starts. The tumor now directly can connect to the metabolism of the body (through the blood vessels or through the lymphatic system) and what the person eats can also directly feed the tumor, too. In that sense, during autophagy what the body clears up and makes into fuel and energy, can also feed the tumor. In this case, that is why autophagy inhibitors could be beneficial, so the tumor fully starves without getting any energy at all. I would say, this still should be done carefully, because in this case the body itself is also starving big time, so just do it with care. (This theory would only make sense if the body feeds the tumor during autophagy as a priority over the body in general or if the tumor gets enough energy through autophagy.)

These results indicate that autophagy plays an important role in cell survival of several tumors that depend on RAS activation.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
    00:00 🧬 *Introduction to Autophagy*
    - Autophagy is a natural process where the body self-cleans and recycles damaged proteins and organelles.
    - Autophagy helps remove pathogens and viral antigens, reducing inflammation and promoting anti-aging.
    - Sugar and excessive protein intake can inhibit autophagy.
    03:11 ⚖️ *Autophagy and Cancer*
    - Autophagy can both protect against and promote cancer depending on the context.
    - Inhibiting autophagy may be used as an anti-cancer strategy, such as with hydroxychloroquine.
    - Research is exploring non-toxic autophagy inhibitors for cancer treatment.
    05:14 🕒 *Fasting and Autophagy*
    - Fasting is the most potent way to trigger autophagy by depleting energy reserves.
    - The duration of fasting needed for significant autophagy varies but typically starts around 18 hours.
    - Low sugar and low protein diets can accelerate autophagy during fasting.
08:28 💧 *Water Fasting and Dry Fasting*
    - Dry fasting (no food or water) can intensify autophagy, but it should be approached cautiously.
    - Controlled dry fasting, such as fasting without water for part of the night, can offer benefits.
    - Burning fat releases water, so hydration isn't entirely cut off during fasting.
    10:30 🏋️‍♀️ *Exercise and Autophagy*
    - Both aerobic and resistance exercises stimulate autophagy, with aerobic exercise being more effective.
    - Combining intermittent fasting with exercise can enhance autophagy.
    - Building muscle and autophagy can be conflicting goals, but both have their benefits.
11:56 🍞 *Reducing Carbs and Protein*
    - Lowering carbohydrate intake and moderating protein consumption can boost autophagy.
    - Reducing carbs limits the need to burn stored sugars during fasting, speeding up autophagy.
    - Moderate protein intake ensures the body continues recycling old proteins during fasting.
12:53 🌿 *Natural Inhibitors of Autophagy*
    - Some natural compounds like stony sponge, apigenin, curcumin, black cumin seed, thunder of GodVine, and retinol are researched for their potential to inhibit autophagy.
    - These inhibitors may be considered for cancer treatment, as cancer cells thrive on autophagy.
    - Research is ongoing, and these inhibitors may have potential for low-side-effect treatments.
    14:05 📣 *Stay Informed*

Additionally, he proposes that impairments in autophagy may contribute to the development and progression of cancer. As someone who lost my right kidney to a cancerous tumour i do all i can to prevent its recurrence. And after listening to the interview with the frenchman a while ago i started on a 3 day fast to start with only to find out this information on the second day of the fast when listening to an autophogy expert on another you tube channel say the say thing . So not knowing if i actually still might have other cancer growing that i didnt know about i stopped immediately. The thing i found out about cancer after having it happened to myself was i never knew i had cancer in me . I was told later after removal of the kidney that the category 1 type cancer i had being a slow growing tumour could have started 4 to 5 years earlier and i was totally unaware till sharp pains in my mid back started appearing . So what im saying is even people who think they are cancer free should be very careful if this is true about autophogy and cancer . You expect conflicting information from one expert to the next but not from the one expert .Cheers

Dr. Berg, this video is a valuable resource for learning. I find your videos very enjoyable to watch, as they contain a lot of valuable information. As a Muslim, I observe Ramadan, a month of fasting and spirituality, during this month. My family and I are doing a dry fast, and we will do it for 30 days. We are doing great. Fasting for 30 days every year is a common practice among Muslims. We break our fasting eating dates.

Weird ... Why is there not even a single answer from Dr. Berg below here, regarding this worry (about the topic : autophagy-cancer) spreading in the comment section ? To clarify or specify what is necessary.
All the other materials we can find on the internet so far about this topic vastly states autophagy helps to starve cancer cells, therefore being a tool in curing it. The outcome may vary according to individuals and multiple factors obviously, but still the knowledge about it is pretty consensual.
Why not answering to the question raised because of this video ? That is what is not understandable.

Dr Berg, I have been following you for years and you seemed to be making a lot of sense until today. Why are there a very significant number of commenters including me scratching their head with this advice which goes against what you have been saying in the past regarding fasting, autophagy and cancer. Many of us below thought the advice was that fasting eliminated sugar as a fuel source which cancer needed to survive (Also see Dr Seyfried regarding this same topic and all his research into cancer). I think you need to address this contradiction. I notice in the comments you mainly seem to reply to comments to thank people for their praise of you. Maybe some interaction with commenters concerns maybe more appropriate. If we, your followers are saying wtf is this turn around in advice then I hate to imagine what your detractors will make of it.

    • @cosmiccruxbot3841
      @cosmiccruxbot3841 Рік тому +4

I'm afraid, Ramadan fasting is not fasting, because during the time that you break your fasting, you (what I see commonly happening in all Islamic countries) consume excessive amounts of food and drink, and to top it excessive amounts of sugary treats as well. This also happens just before you begin a new cycle of fasting. The consumption of, (sometimes overeating) all that food just before fasting defeats the purpose. The body has so much work to do before it can actually attain atophagy, then you start eating again.. 😮
Your stomach is so overwhelmed with food that it has to process during these two periods of binge eating that it cannot be considered fasting.

    • @TemmihWave
      @TemmihWave Рік тому +1

@@cosmiccruxbot3841 Ramadan fasting is fasting indeed, the rules is not to over eat during break, it's opposite. The problem are Muslims, not Ramadan, Muslims don't respect rules of Islam wich is eat to let 2/3 of your stomach empty, it's not a sin it's a health recommendation, and during Ramadan some Muslims have the habit to over eat. So don't make generality, Ramadan fasting is powerful, you are not mandatory to eat in the morning and it's recommended to eat less.

They totally ignore the fact that fasting is not unique to Islam, which obviously borrowed the practice from the former two Abrahamic faiths. Evidently, all major religions, from Hinduism to Christianity, have some form of fasting most of which are more stringent and disciplined than the islamic one. But the only one they believe is worth mentioning are the ones who make their season of "fasting" with its immaculate religiosity, a ginormous publicity stunt.

This added to my confusion even more! I have stage 4 breast cancer and my oncologist says eat whatever and here are some chemicals to go with it. From everybody else I keep hearing “eat this-not that, plant based-carnivore, and now this… fast- don’t fast.”
Looks like no one knows sh*t, and what works for some, doesn’t work for others. 😕

I just stuffed myself with a heavy evening meal, mostly well-balanced with protein, fat, and carbs. I got up during the night and was very thirsty probably due to the salt in the big meal. I'm drinking lemon water and will food fast for 15 hours. That's enough for me. Feels good.

I was scratching my head on that one too. I've been watching Jeff De Prosperis, who has Stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and he routinely does long fasts. He just came off of another 8 day fast, getting ready for his latest update scan. I found out about him from Kerry Mann of HomeSteadHow. Jeff also is a strict carnivore, which seems to help fight cancer as you're not giving the body any glucose for the cancer to use.

Yeah, that makes no sense to me. Cancer feeds off of glucose, what is being broken down is damaged cells etc. Cancer would not utilize broken down proteins = amino acids.
To get into autophagy, one has to fast which means not eating. Not eating would include carbs and sugars that cancer cells need for energy.
Autophagy should starve cancers, not help them grow.

I have the same question when he was discussing the paradox, he is suggesting that when you already have a cancer, reaching autophagy (which is when you fast) would progress the growth cancer that is already in the body.

Heading to sleep tonight just over 5 days of fasting…will wake up halfway to 6 days. Not a complete water fast….have had black coffee, few cups of chicken broth, little bit of water enhancer, pink salt and magnesium supplement to avoid cramping. Hoping to complete a full 7 days this go-round before transitioning back into keto/low carb. But following Dr. Fung’s advice…. Listen to my body, if I stop feeling good, then may be time to break the fast.

Dr Berg....... You say that autophagy can hurt you if you have cancer. I'm confused by this statement because when I watched your interview with the Frenchman who beat his cancer, he did it through a 21-day fast, which certainly would bring about autophagy, right? My understanding was that the cancer cells are essentially eaten up through the very process of autophagy. Was this not the case after all? Please clarify if you can. Thanks

Autophagy help the body get rid of cancer cells. That is what I learned from earlier dr Berg videos. Fasting trigger autophagy which allows the body to get rid of damaged cells like cancer and use it as fuel.

I am so CONFUSED dr Berg! I was diagnosed with prostate cancer 1.5 year ago, I tried prolonged fasting for 15 days, then keto and intermittent, then prolonged again etc. Have watched Dr Berg's all relevant videos, including the ones he interviewed Guy and Fred who claimed they cured cancer through prolonged fasting and more. I had prostatectomy in the end as my diet did not cure me and all seems ok till now. However I am very very confused as to what I should do - it's the first time I hear from dr Berg that autophagy makes cancer worse. I would appreciate an explanation!

A lot of people, especially people that I know, are so oblivious and unaware of how great and awesome the body really is, how it self regulates, recycles, and regenerates. Of course, there are factors and protocols involved in maintaining, optimizing, and boosting these natural processes in the body. But overall, it - the body - is truly a wonder of nature; of the natural world; and of the cosmos. 😊
    Keep on rockin'! 🤘

If you're trying to lose weight just be careful with prolonged fasting including doing OMAD. I did OMAD a few months ago for 14 days straight and my weight loss came to a screeching halt (and I was still exercising - running and lifting weights). Doing OMAD or even 20:4 can lower your BMR (metabolism). It sure did for me. I work with a R.D. who confirmed this can and DOES indeed happen with many people. My sweet spot is 18:6. Doing that I am continuing to lose weight and still getting some autophagy. Again, I am only talking about people who are trying to lose weight. If you are at your ideal weight (many people are not) then obviously this doesn't apply. I have about 10 more pounds to go.
Also, I still don't feel you need to do strict keto. I don't. I have been doing Adkins this year (when you compare the % breakdown of fats/proteins/carbs between Adkins and keto, Adkins is higher protein and not as much fat as keto is.....both are low carb but (strict) keto is crazy low carb). It has worked for me: I lost 40 lbs in 7 months this year. I am 5'8" and now weigh under 180. Started out at 220. I'm 53 years old. I'm off my statin, no longer need to wear a CPAP machine because I have reversed my sleep apnea and I also lowered my A1C from 5.8 to 5.2. Triglycerides are way down, HDL way up, vLDL cut in half.
