@@1956Chevrolet Not the doctors who want you sick and on drugs for life - it is big pharma. Doctors are not taught about diet except for the most basic high school level, and they aren't taught about holistic or natural healing either - they are as ignorant or even more so than the average person, because their curriculum is sponsored by big pharma. All their know is giving you drugs to cover up symptoms or cutting out an offending dysfunctional part. The most knowledgeable people on diet are usually dieticians and chiropractors dieticians because that is their major in college, and chiropractors because they deal with natural/holistic type of healing and the diet aspect is a natural progression of their natural/holistic healing methods
@@lawrencenjawe9875 all teachings needs rethinking, but yes totally agree with you. Teaching example that could be much better today: I guarantee 💯 that Dr. Berg didn't tell this information through his schools teachings, but experience and many that we need more of today I see many today who get angry with people that tries to teach others or that they don't got a clue because they don't have a grade on a paper.
FYI I am a Registered Nurse-run from Doctors they work for pharmaceutical companies and "standard medical practice" dictates they have to prescribe a medication even if it does you harm. Listen to Dr. Berg he can save your life and health.
?! Any competent physician knows the importance of educating patients on preventative care. And any nurse who paid attention in school knows that the physician uses their best judgement when prescribing, and is not forced to prescribe anything. (Nor do they "work for" pharmaceutical companies.) If the physician prescribes the patient a pill, it's because they used their education and best judgement to come to the conclusion that this is what is best for the patient's wholistic health. (i.e. The benefit of the medication to the patient is weighed against negative side effects of the drug.) Misinformation is not cute! Also remember that the nutritional supplements in this video are among the "pills Doctors push onto people". Edit: Yes, wholistic can be spelled with a "w". If you have similar concerns, seek a primary care doctor that is board-certified in Preventative Medicine.
I craved crushed ice before I was diagnosed with colon cancer. I was given iron after diagnosed with anemia. It did not work and I had a colonoscopy which showed I had colon cancer. I was fortunate that it was diagnosed early and I did not have to have chemotherapy. I have had many more beautiful Colonoscopies and have been cancer free since 1997. Thanks to Dr. Berg, my family and I are paying more and better attention to what goes into our bodies.
I actually treated for depression for 3 years before my now endocrinologist tested me for a bunch of vitamins and found out my vitamin D was dangerously low, my body has a deficiency on producing even if I stay in the sun, so I started to take supplements and in a really short time every depression symptom I had went away.
@@Luizguilherme-iz9yl My depression is related to PTSD and hereditary issues - I wish that I could just take a vitamin and cure it, but I'm very happy that it worked for you. :)
Wont help (or maybe would only partially reduce symptoms) for those who have an external cause, but for those who just have a chemical imbalance that makes sense. Especially when. You think about seasonal depression being a thing - no wonder because people are inside for the winter, losing that vitamin D
@@BreMue The root cause of my issue is hereditary thyroid problems (hypothyroidism), but are definitely aggravated by the external issues. Another probable cause is lower weaker stomach acid due to age - so vitamin/mineral deficiencies related to that over time. Not a fan of pharmaceuticals, but in the short term they have offered a remarkable improvement
Be sure to supplement zinc and iodine - modern factory farming has depleted nearly all trace minerals from the soil. They dump nitrogen to make the plants grow, but the trace minerals are basically no longer there - add to that the GMO, weed killers, and insecticides - and what used to be food is now mostly phude. There were good reasons for rotating crops, or turning food plots into grazing fields for a season - to refresh the soil naturally. HTH 😃
So basically most will GREATLY benefit from taking zinc/vitamin D/omega 3's and reducing refined grains and sugar from their diets Enjoyed the video! Thanks!!
10,000 IU vitamin D is too much. According to Dr John Campbell that much D deposits too much Calcium in cells. To balance that you have to take Zinc too. I really don't know if all that is real science. I've been having a hard time believing any health tips from UA-cam doctors. Non youtube doctors often don't agree. Who is right and who is wrong? Who knows??
if you see yellowing of the eyes or the ski don't take bile salts, go to the doctor immediately you have a high chance of having liver failure, hemolysis etc and these are deadly situations if not treated correctly
That was my though as well. Same with chest pain. It could be heart attact. As average humans without medical trainiand diagnostic tools, we have no idea of knowing if it something simple as a vitamin defficiency, or a life threatening issue. Better safe then dead.
My husband had yellowing eyes and skin. Thought he needed bile salts. Actually turned out to be a bile duct blockage causing the jaundice and bile salts worsened the problem. Just something to consider when trying to self diagnose. Sometimes consulting your doctor before beginning a new supplement pays off.
@Wren -- yes!! Blocked ducts are the silent problems in many instances....drink liquids w lemons to help flush out toxins and hopefully clear pathways.
As a final yr med student, jaundice is a serious medical symptom that needs investigation. Its 2 most common causes are gallstones and pancreatic cancer, it is not caused by any deficiency. Be very careful who you take your medical advice from. This guy is not a doctor and is simply trying to reel people in to promote his brand. Dangerous stuff
I have been taking a zinc supplement for a few months and I cannot believe how my acne has improved and my skin is less oily. Great video, very informative.
Yeah Zinc is amazing, I have never broken out in all my life not in teens until suddenly when I became young adult. I did not know how to handle it because I never had it, did not know what cream or a facial routine. After trial and errors with commercial beauty creams cleansers etc and research I decided to take vitamins instead, one was label for skin complexion. Its main source was Zinc, cured my cystic acne in a month!
Here in the UK, it is now extremely difficult to get a face to face appointment with a doctor. Most of the time, they will call back and speak over the phone, to see if you are sick enough to warrant an in person check up. Most people don't know what symptoms to look for. They just tell the doctor "I don't feel well" or "I've got pain in my back". If the doctor could examine them properly, he could see all the signs explained in this video and try to do something about them. The problem then is that he would probably prescribe some medication rather than give nutritional advice. Some Americans seem to think that the UK's health system is great. If you come to the UK on holiday, have an accident and get treated for free, I guess it is. But if you're waiting over a year for surgery, not so much. Our system is broken. Everyone should learn about and be responsible for their own health.
Yeah, but, let's be blunt, NOBODY is going to TELL them. We REALLY have to pass good info around. Especially in the poor areas where they can't GET to a grocery.
I love that this isn't just a supplement recommendation list for a bunch of random symptoms, but that you actually explain sometimes what causes the symptom itself, give common causes for each deficiency, and perhaps best of all, you always recommend food before supplements for each one.
@UCmixQK0oOy1Izw_bGzWyPdA you can even just look it up online and look at multiple credible sources instead of a random person on yt thats not linking any, but tldr; most common cause of this is previous inflammation/damage to your finger/nail. another cause can be an allergic reaction, but thats also unlikely. zinq is also very dangerous in too high dosages, so its better to check your bloodstats before you try things like zinq anyways.
@@cheyhey2170 And going in for depression as the kicker. Lol, gonna stop saying "just pull yourself together" (note the sarcasm attempt please) and hand some Vitamin D tablets when a friend stands on a cliff basking in sun, ready to jump lmao. I mean it's not all wrong biochemically. It just seriously lacks a "This is a plausible hypothesis in my opinion. It is not medically or psychiatrically supported at all"-section
I started really focusing on my diet and vitamins to manage my adhd because I wasn’t doing well on medication and since I’ve been taking omega-3, iron, and vitamin d, I’ve stopped feeling exhausted all the time and it’s helped a lot with my fidgeting. And my dark circles are starting to get less pronounced
When you do the blood work check your levels of vitamin d and iron, becouse those can accumulate and cause huge issues, much more so than slight insufficiency. Often when you have D deficiency. If I were you, I'd also check B12 levels, becouse it's also important for your nervous system and absorption of vit d is correlated to the presence of b12 and sometimes people have issues with both. I'm no doctor, just a person who had issues with these deficiencies and was diagnosed by my family doctor.
@iliana2003 Well, in theory vitamin C and B12 both play a role in iron absorbtion, just like the sun, the vitamin K, magnesium play a role in vitamin D and calcium absorbtion, but that doesn't mean you need to always take magnesium with your vitamin d... Now the thing is some people may be more or less defficient. Like last time I was anemic, it was after a long period of digestive issues and inspite that my diet was healthy, plus my periods are super heavy sometimes, becouse I'm getting closer to menopause and also absurdely the more anemic you get, the heavier your periods get...so I had developed some deficiencies and turned out having low B12 aswell. That said there are things that can interfere with your iron absorbtion like coffeen (careful with coffie, tea chocolate and avoid altoghether energy drinks) and also dairy which you don't need to eliminate, just limit tem, like if I'm having a meal rich in iron and taking supplements, I won't be having any dairy two hours before and after, my coffie has been limited to one in the morning after breakfast, but it's not the end of the world if you have another in the afternoon. Also if you combine in your meals iron rich food from animal sources(more bio available) and iron rich vegetables (less bio available), more iron gets absorbed. Also throw in some seasonal fruit and veggies that are rich in vitamin C, aspecially in your iron rich meals, like you can drizzle your stake or fish with some fresh lemon juice, if you like, or have an orange or a kiwi at the end of the meal instead of a desert, or have some cabbage salad... It really is a game changer in pulling up your iron levels in matter of a few months, but what's even better is that it making you feel much less tired in no time, like in my case I felt a slight improvement in my tiredness as first week was passing.
Hi Dr! I’m a Cosmetologist and I have a contradicting opinion on the first topic. While I was in school studying nails, we went over nail diseases and deformities, and we were taught that white spots on nails are actually due to something called Leukonychia which is an injury to the nail matrix. The matrix is the part of the nail/finger that creates the cells to form the nail plate and when that gets injured it can cause little white spots on the nail. Injury could be anything from bumping the backs of your fingers to closing a door on your fingers. Anyways I guess I’m saying this to let other people know in the comment section that the white spots on your nails might be a zinc deficiency but it could also just be because you’re clumsy.
I agree with you, im an electrician by trade and my finger nails get bumped or crushed often. All over my nails are tiny white spots and if I really pinched my finger a bigger one will appear.
I've had white spots on my nails my entire life. I just looked and they're gone. Have been taking zinc the past three years. Thanksgiving, halloween and christmas was 3 months ago - sugar etc.. aligns with my specks haha
It’s both. Had moments where I damaged the nail and ended up with a white spot. However I’ve also never damaged my nail and had a high sugar intake causing a white spot.
While you were talking about fruits and vegetables, I remembered my dad telling me how much he always complained about the fruit and vegetables in the USA when he first moved from his home. When he went back home to visit his parents, he ran to the backyard and started shoving tomatoes into his mouth and just devouring them. My grandma asked him, “What are you doing? Do they not have tomatoes in America?” He responded, “No. Not like these.”
You can buy seeds or small tomato plants and grow your own and they will be much better than what you get at a grocery store. Or try out a farmers market in your area. Well worth it.
Yes. Flavor chemicals ARE tied in with nutrient density. THANK YOU Dr. Berg for validating this, what I knew intuitively and logically, but some people chose to shrug it off regardless.
I'm so glad you mentioned the quality of the actual fruits and vegetables themselves! Born and raised in America, so I didn't realize what my mom said when she complained that American produce isn't as delicious as in Haiti. Now, I live in Japan, and the difference is truly shocking. The color of the egg yolk, the richness of the vegetables, the sweetness of the fruit, the juiciness of the chicken... everything is so delicious. From the outside, you might think that Japan serves small food portions, but honestly, it fills you!
the 'juiciness of the chicken,' ffs, what is wrong with you? talking about a beautiful animal like that. I bet you don't eat it raw, that's what carnivores do after all
It's the way these foods are raised or grown. Monocrops, intensive farming, fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, gmo foods, and raising animals in cages indoors with no sunlight or movement. Abuse and greed on the highest level. It's criminal! And yes, it is happening! Big Agriculture is one of the reasons why our foods taste bland and why our country is full of sick people. The other reasons are sugar, grains, junk food, processed foods, no sunlight, drinking, drugs, caffeine, & smoking.
You are the first person to explain my condition to me, pitting edema, and I've seen several doctors about it and they didn't help me understand it, they just thought it was weird. I honestly don't think most primary care doctors or NP's are trained in nutritional deficencies.
Uh pitting edema is actually more often than not a sign of cardiovascular disease rather than nutritional deficiency (depending on your age). Did you get it confirmed by blood tests that you are deficient in these nutrients? If not, it could very well be that your veins don't work as well as they should, or your heart, kidney, liver or lungs. These causes are highly dependent on age though, so if you are still young it's less likely to be these issues but if you are nearing 50 or above, those get increasingly more common.
@@kime5776 Dr. Eric explained that it is a dietary issue or lifestyle problem basically sodium to potassium is unbalanced as well has having too much sugar which depletes potassium. Eating green leafy veggies (full of potassium) pushed the fluids out of the feet and ankles. From my experience, when I am vegetable juicing and fasting, I do not get pitted edema. And I also do not get it when I cut out bread, sugar and reduce carbs overall. I chronically do not have enough potassium, Vit D, Magnesium, Calcium and B vitamins due to chronic stress.
@@redrobinhood3726 Yeah what he says is one possibility, and if that is the case for you then it might be accurate. However, the issue with this video is that he lists symptoms that can have multiple very serious underlying issues and correlating them just to dietary causes. As a med student this bothers me because people can misunderstand and assume that their diet must be the sole issue, and potentially miss out on very dangerous health issues.
Thanks for a thousand times, dear Dr. Eric Berg! For years, I have been cooking with soy sauce, not iodized salt, so when Dr. Eric Berg said the symptom of lacking iodine is thinning of the eyebrows, which reminds me of the lacking of this vital nutrition, like enlarged thyroid gland and many other health problems, so important that the government has to spray iodine onto sea salt for people's well being, but Asian people would not use table salt, instead of that, they use fish sauce and/ or soy sauce. It's late, but I was glad to realize this problem, as being advised by Dr.Eric Berg, the iodine supplement is Sea Kelp❤️
For me: 1. Vitamin C = Way more leafy greens + avoid sugar (usually don’t eat much sweets anyway) 2. B2 = nutrional yeast + stop grains (ah my rice 😢) 3. Iron = red meat like liver + eggs 4. Vitamin E = stop fine grains 5. Magnesium = green plants 6. Vitamin D = try fasting
I started taking vitamin D about 18 months ago, I used to get very depressed especially in the winter months, but I have been depression free for about 18 months now, even dealing with the passing of my grandfather suprisingly well, I basically carried the rest of the family through that time. I highly recommend trying vitamin D supplements.
I also take vitamin D on occasion. It has helped improve my skin dramatically and energy levels as well. I used to have dry skin around the sides of my nose like Eric Berg described, but instead of eating more omega-3s (which I know I should anyway), I simply supplemented with more vitamin D and the improvements were seen in only a couple of days. My mood was much different as well. Like you, I handle traumatic and stressful situations far better than I would have without a vitamin D supplement. The difference it makes is remarkable.
@@db3561 Everyone’s intake needs are different, but in severe cases of vitamin D deficiency, 10,000 IU of daily supplementation is recommended especially if you don’t get much sun exposure. Have you gotten your vitamin levels checked recently at all?
He says 10,000IU in the video, which is about 10x 25mcg vitamin D specific pills, daily. My bloody test showed my vitamin D level was 9, yes 9, it's supposed to be like 120 or something. I only took 1 in the morning, 1 at night for a few months then just 1 a day, now I just take a multi-vite that contains around 10mcg once or twice a day. Anything will help, the more the better, but 10 a day of Blackmores Vitamin D3 1000IU can be quite expensive for some
You guys should take NOW's vitamin, the one which as 5000 IU in each softgel. Its low in cost and has 240 softgels, definitely can the amount you need.
Dr. Berg, I watched this video and there were 4 things and I ordered the Vitamins and I have been taking them for the past week and I feel much better, I can actually tell the difference. Thank you!
As someone who suffers with depression, it's absolutely crazy to me just how much vitamin D controls all these functions in your body. I've lived so many different places. And I've battled depression my whole life. However, during the summer, or when I live somewhere where it's sunnier, I'm always happier. Winter rolls around or I live somewhere where it's colder, I'm absolutely miserable. Not just mentally, but physically as well. Extreme fatigue, muscle twitches, headaches, stomach problems. And I also noticed that my asthma gets so much worse when I live somewhere that has a longer winter, and this video just explained everything. How it seems to affect certain people more than others. Thank you for this informative video.
My E.D disappeared about 3 weeks after I started avoiding the sugar gang (sugar, grain, and starch). Although I never eliminated the sugar gang, just reducing it gave me wonderful improvements, the first of which, just 3 days later, was the one I was after, the elimination of nighttime urination. The ultimate benefit was losing all of my excess body fat, after about 5 months.
Thank you, Dr. Eric Berg, this is one of the BEST healthy living videos I have ever seen...really informative, I love that you also show what DEPLETES our ability to absorb nutrients..👌🙏❤
Thank you for all of this info! After i started a complete multivitamin, had regular moderate exercise, avoided processed and refined food and drink, got regular mild sun exposure, at least 7 hours of sleep a night... I feel 10 years younger! I'm only in my 30s but i feel better than when I was 20. I'm hoping to influence my fellow sedentary fastfood eating millennials by being an example
I live in the Philippines Dr Eric and I just want to thank you that all your teachings get over here for free and my family is also benefitting from it
I suffer from a form of depression if my blood sugar is too high. I become lethargic, bored and feel depressed... luckily, plenty of water and I'm back to normal within a few hours ❤❤
This is actually incredible and verified. I suffered for 20 years of flaking skin nearby my nose and forehead. I went to several dermatologist, every time some different drugs to kill mycosis, working for a while but 2 months without pills all the symptoms are back. 2 years ago went to a doctor who gave me 100+ different blood tests. The only wrong value I had was Omega 3 omega 6 balance (omega 3 deficiency). I spoke with 3 doctors about that but everyone told me it was not related at all to my skin and I had no corrective actions to take.. I decided on my own to buy supplements, like 30 dollars for one year. Took the first omega 3 pills along the mycosis suppressors and of course I had results, but in my mind these were drugs related only. After a short time, considering the doctors said the omega 3 was nothing important, I stopped taking omega 3, and again my skin condition floating every 3 months. 2 years later, just a month ago I went to the drug store to get again mycosis suppressors, but it was shut. Then I came back home and gave another try to these omega 3 that now are about to expire. I noticed my skin getting way better in just 2 weeks. All the symptoms are gone. No extra drugs but just the omega 3. Now I came across this video by chance, and my god what a revelation. How come no doctor, blood test in hand, would suggest omega 3 integration?? Cost me 5000 dollars of doctors and 300 dollars every third month in drugs only, and got lots of side effects. The food we eat it's 90% of our health. I hope more and more people can solve their problems with these suggestions!

Thank you for mentioning not having a gall bladder. Therefore, not only did I have gall stones, but because at that point in time, I also had gangrene in my gallbladder.😢
If hospitals/doctor’s surgeries has this printed and stuck in their waiting rooms for all to see (yeah, right!), people wouldn’t need their toxic, inflammation causing drugs, they would eat the right diet. You are a good man Dr Berg. Blessings, UK.
It’s not the hospitals job to educate people on preventative measures. Hospitals are there to fix what’s already damaged. Educational videos like these is where you’re supposed to learn. It’s so easy for people to point fingers and blame others for their own lack of motivation to research and heal their bodies. I agree that doctors should be ENCOURAGING a healthier lifestyle (diet, exercise, etc) but that’s not how modern medicine works
Also, I work in a dental office and we have MANY informational posters on the wall about the mouth-body connection and how bacteria in the mouth can affect the rest of our body and most patients prefer to scroll through their phone for hours than read the posters. 9/10 patients don’t even realize the posters are there. So ya 🤷🏽♀️
@@sherineabboud1844 perhaps school can include it somewhere in their curriculum? Catching kids young can save years of dental decay/poor health. Or an online self-study curriculum?

So does Dr. Berg. But only if you're willing to buy his products that you almost certainly don't need. If you think you're deficient in vitamins, get tested.
I am overweight and don't have diabetes but my doctor prescribed me potassium pills and hydrochlothorazide to take together. It made me have a lot of issues because it gave my body a lot of nutrient deficiencies when all I needed was more Vitamin B2 and my normal exercise regimen. I was able to lose weight following your advice and looking for Vitamin deficiencies than taking medication for a problem I did not have.
Everyone has diabetes 10 yr before declared by a blood glucose test. The test to have is a fasting blood insulin test. Our glucose rises while our insulin is trying to shove the glucose down and then the insulin gives up and suddenly rises w/ the glucose= diabetes declared by the doc. Cure the fastest w/ the carnivore diet=very low carbs. Stand up and look down, see your stomach? You've got diabetes.
Not sure about the potassium (can be given for a lot of important things, like keeping your heart at a good rhythm) but hydrochlorothiazide is often a BP controller and it may have been prescribed if you have high blood pressure or if your blood is being congested somewhere like your legs (edema). Please consult with a doctor if that’s why it was given to you. Weight loss and exercise are both great, but if you have persistently high blood pressure, you could end up getting clots, heart damage, stroke, etc in the long term if you don’t find a way to lower it. Not trying to be a shill for pharma, just trying to look out for your health.

I live in the Netherlands right now and i was so used to using fresh tomatoes to make my pasta sauce. The sauce literally turned out light pink as tasted like water. Now i used canned tomatoes but it really made me think about the difference in growing fruit and vegetables in green houses and in the soil ripped by the sun.
Where has this video been all my life? When I was in college and broke I ate like crap and was concerned because I knew I wasn't getting all the nutrients I needed. I can verify that Vit D(3) helps with depression. I was put on a lower dose after a blood check up. I started to get maudling and weepy and my daughter (a nurse) said to go back to my usual dose. It worked. I can also verify the loss of eyebrows and thyroid connection. My other tell tale signs are hair loss, brittle nails and, even though I don't like coffee, I crave it and actually have a cup. Thyroid function changes with activity too I notice. If I'm more active it seems that I don't need as much Thyroxine. Regards salt. I listen to my body - occasionally I crave one off things that salt can be added to such as a tomato cut in half with a good sprinkling of salt. Fish and chips with loads of salt and loads of vinegar. This happens once in a blue moon so I just have it. I am going to try to increase potassium as I've started to get leg cramps and have taken diuretics for oedema for years but you know, again, my body tells me my potassium is low as I usually start to want bananas, yoghurt, avocados and beetroots (can't get enough of them)

This makes so much sense. I was depressed as a vegetarian. I ate a ton of carbs and grains. I now eat meat, fish, eggs, consume wayyy less carbs and i just avoid grains like the plague and i feel (and look) 100x better.

Very informational video. However, you should always check any of these symptoms with your doctor as it might not be the best idea just to start taking a kind of vitamin if you show symptoms of liver failure or heart problems.
This is the first video that I've watched by Dr. Eric Berg and I must say that I'm impressed and have subscribed. As being in healthcare, I can say that he DOES have great knowledge.
Amazing video and thank you so much Dr. Berg. I began to notice some of these signs in my late twenties and thought about taking multi vitamin supplements. I had no idea how much nutrients matter and our body gives us signs. I watched the whole video and was so focused.

I just stumbled across this video and have now subscribed to your channel. I recently completed a college nutrition class for my BSN and found this video a complement to the course I took. I appreciate the way you explain things. I’ve been a nurse for 35 years and find the more information I have the better for teaching my patients, as well as helping my own health.
Thank you SO MUCH for this video. I will be sharing this information with my husband. There are solutions you shared which will help both of us. I really appreciate your sharing not only the problem and solution, but the explanation behind it. I'm looking forward to seeing changes in both of us! We will be getting some nutritional yeast asap!

Doctors don't want you healthier..
They'll lose!

FYI I am a Registered Nurse-run from Doctors they work for pharmaceutical companies and "standard medical practice" dictates they have to prescribe a medication even if it does you harm. Listen to Dr. Berg he can save your life and health.
ALSO AN RN ALMOST 18 YEARS … every doctor just wanted to throw pill at patients in this fast paced work we live in!!!!
Yes, Thank you ❤️
@@aliciaobrien8713 terrible!
Very True.

I actually treated for depression for 3 years before my now endocrinologist tested me for a bunch of vitamins and found out my vitamin D was dangerously low, my body has a deficiency on producing even if I stay in the sun, so I started to take supplements and in a really short time every depression symptom I had went away.
try and tell people who have it to see if they have the same problem
HTH 😃
23 minutes of informative video about 23 signs to help our own health in order to have a better life from dear Dr. Berg. I appreciate your work.
Wow happy I found you. Diabetic 😢
So basically most will GREATLY benefit from taking zinc/vitamin D/omega 3's and reducing refined grains and sugar from their diets
Enjoyed the video! Thanks!!
Supplements are great, but the main idea is to consume foods which contain these particular vitamins and minerals!
Who knows??
If you are taking D3
Better cofactor in K2 👍
Don't forget about magnesium - against anxiety and better nerves.
Yes indeed...
if you see yellowing of the eyes or the ski don't take bile salts, go to the doctor immediately you have a high chance of having liver failure, hemolysis etc and these are deadly situations if not treated correctly
That was my though as well. Same with chest pain. It could be heart attact. As average humans without medical trainiand diagnostic tools, we have no idea of knowing if it something simple as a vitamin defficiency, or a life threatening issue. Better safe then dead.

I’m dying at the context of this
My husband had yellowing eyes and skin. Thought he needed bile salts. Actually turned out to be a bile duct blockage causing the jaundice and bile salts worsened the problem. Just something to consider when trying to self diagnose. Sometimes consulting your doctor before beginning a new supplement pays off.
Sanity at last. Much agreed.
@Wren -- yes!! Blocked ducts are the silent problems in many instances....drink liquids w lemons to help flush out toxins and hopefully clear pathways.
what do you do when doctors don’t even have this basic information?
Stinging nettle infusion one tea spoon for 3 cups. ( Blood clean up)liver etc. Last chance ...the best one. No sugar....
If u could tell which supplement are you taking and how much a day?

Canada is the same way unfortunately!
Yeah, but, let's be blunt, NOBODY is going to TELL them. We REALLY have to pass good info around. Especially in the poor areas where they can't GET to a grocery.

I love that this isn't just a supplement recommendation list for a bunch of random symptoms, but that you actually explain sometimes what causes the symptom itself, give common causes for each deficiency, and perhaps best of all, you always recommend food before supplements for each one.
but half the things arent even based on deficiency. even the first thing about the white spot under the nail is completely wrong
@UCmixQK0oOy1Izw_bGzWyPdA you can even just look it up online and look at multiple credible sources instead of a random person on yt thats not linking any, but tldr;
most common cause of this is previous inflammation/damage to your finger/nail. another cause can be an allergic reaction, but thats also unlikely.

Also look into mthfr gene mutation. Those symptoms are correlated with mthfr gene.
@@daniby9894 thanks!
@@daniby9894 is absorption of iron also correlated to b12?
@iliana2003 Well, in theory vitamin C and B12 both play a role in iron absorbtion, just like the sun, the vitamin K, magnesium play a role in vitamin D and calcium absorbtion, but that doesn't mean you need to always take magnesium with your vitamin d... Now the thing is some people may be more or less defficient. Like last time I was anemic, it was after a long period of digestive issues and inspite that my diet was healthy, plus my periods are super heavy sometimes, becouse I'm getting closer to menopause and also absurdely the more anemic you get, the heavier your periods get...so I had developed some deficiencies and turned out
having low B12 aswell.
I got fooled by the thumbnail, but if you look at the title, it makes sense lol. Je
Yeah thats what it is, idk if this guy is saying everything right
While you were talking about fruits and vegetables, I remembered my dad telling me how much he always complained about the fruit and vegetables in the USA when he first moved from his home. When he went back home to visit his parents, he ran to the backyard and started shoving tomatoes into his mouth and just devouring them. My grandma asked him, “What are you doing? Do they not have tomatoes in America?” He responded, “No. Not like these.”
Yeap, 100% agree. Fruits and vegetables in US has no taste. None. No nutrient in the soil, over mass production cause.
Curious, where was "back home" for your father?
Is he from Italy??
Oh yeah, once you've eaten a proper tomato, you'll be disgusted at what we put up with for tomatoes. A real tomato is delicious and full of flavour.
If you've had any vegetable or fruit overseas you WILL taste the difference immediately. Flavor is much more intense,
@@Robertking1996 I recently migrated to the US and I couldn't help noticing this!😅
I'm so glad you mentioned the quality of the actual fruits and vegetables themselves!
It’s because the genetic structure of most American foods is messed with. For easy crop growth and less rot it’s killing everyone
the 'juiciness of the chicken,' ffs, what is wrong with you? talking about a beautiful animal like that. I bet you don't eat it raw, that's what carnivores do after all
@@westaussie965 Actually, yes, I do eat it raw. That's Japan for you. It's delicious.

For me:
1. Vitamin C = Way more leafy greens + avoid sugar (usually don’t eat much sweets anyway)
2. B2 = nutrional yeast + stop grains (ah my rice 😢)

Can y'all please put some light on how frequently should we consume the vitamin d supplements for good persistent results?
Thank you for this informative video.
which is why it makes sense that the US gov response to covid was to make us all go indoors where we could all die off 👏
@@intherellc5653 my immune system goes straight to hell when my vitamin D declines. I’m sick every month. It’s bad.

I am trying to save this list
lol its almost biologically impossible for the human body to convert carbs into body fat
Dr Berg coming through just when you need him to. Thank you
Thank you, Dr. Eric Berg, this is one of the BEST healthy living videos I have ever seen...really informative, I love that you also show what DEPLETES our ability to absorb nutrients..👌🙏❤

I suffer from a form of depression if my blood sugar is too high. I become lethargic, bored and feel depressed... luckily, plenty of water and I'm back to normal within a few hours ❤❤
How did you have this diagnosed?
Maybe a dietician would have helped a lot more.

Thank you for mentioning not having a gall bladder. I'll be 74 in two days & my gall bladder was removed when I was 25, due to stones, unfortunately, my Dr. ignored my cry for help, after I gave birth to my first child.
This is such a dumb comment it’s only fitting that it comes from someone named Karen 😂
@@sherineabboud1844 We’re talking about medical doctors, not dentists, and the fact is, they reach for the pharmaceuticals every time, because that’s allopathy, and it’s all they know. To deny such an obvious reality is futile. Although we could have a conversation about the unnecessary treatments dentists push also.

Edema is actually much more associated with wet beriberi... That's a B1 issue, often from too much refined carbs and added sugars, too much coffee or alcohol in most cases
