0:00 Introduction: How to clean out your arteries and reduce the risk of heart disease
0:22 What causes plaque in the arteries?
1:34 High LDL cholesterol
2:20 The best nutrients to support your heart
5:13 The best foods for blocked arteries
12:33 Learn more about biofilms!
Let’s talk about the best meal you could eat to clean your arteries and reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.
The plaque that can build up in the arteries is a combination of calcium, protein, and cholesterol. In many cases, the calcium results from biofilms, which are colonies of microbes with something like a shell to protect themselves.
Biofilms tend to accumulate on roughened edges-if the arteries are smooth and strong, they probably won’t accumulate there. Lesions, oxidation, inflammation, or damage could lead to plaque in the arteries.
Typically, a person with clogged arteries will also have high LDL cholesterol (small-dense particle size LDL). Both arterial plaque and this type of LDL are correlated with a high-carb, high-sugar diet.
The best nutrients to support the cardiovascular system and reduce the risk of heart disease:
1. Vitamin K2
2. Vitamin C
3. Vitamin E
4. Omega-3 fatty acids
The best meal for your cardiovascular system:
• Wild-caught salmon
• Sauerkraut
• A large arugula salad with extra-virgin olive oil, apple cider vinegar, sunflower seeds, Parmigiano cheese, and garlic.

Thanks for watching! I hope this helps increase your awareness of the best meal you could eat to clean out your arteries and decrease your risk of heart disease. I’ll see you in the next video.
One addition IMPORTANT point: heat destroys vitamin C (as in "pasteurization"), so when you get your sauerkraut, find one that is raw or make it yourself.
Thank you Dr. Berg ⭐❤⭐
Yes surely , we will make it...Thnx Doc..
Awesome and Thank you
I am talking about the raw unpasteurized ones in the health food stores. What would be the point in buying the crappy one that is pasteurized and heat treated?
These good ones still do not list vitamin C.
Can a person overdose on K-2?
2:20 The best way to prevent, slow down or reverse plaquing in the arteries:
• Vitamin K2
• High vitamin C foods
• Vitamin E
• Keep your Omega-6 fatty acids very low and keep your Omega-3 fatty acids very very high
5:13 The best foods for blocked arteries:
• Wild-caught salmon
• Sauerkraut (a fermented cabbage product): it's loaded with vitamin K2, it's also loaded with Vitamin C (7 times the RDA)
• A big arugula salad with extra-virgin olive oil, apple cider vinegar (or red balsamic vinegar), sunflower seeds, Parmigiano cheese (get the authentic type from Italy), and garlic
Thank you Dr. Berg

I am down fifty pounds due to intermittent fasting and eating healthy. My biggest secret is getting a lot of rest and stepping away from stressful situations. My journey has been going on for seven months thus far. I am also over sixty and one of the greatest mindsets is to first eat to get healthy and secondary is the weight loss that will occur. Arugula salads have been my go to food. I am still refining my dietary choices according to every video that I watch. Thank you!🌞🌻🙏🌼
salad is not healthy. its full arsenic. But learn the hard way like everyone else. Meat has the nutrition your body needs. You want to stay away from carbs cause there is not a lot of nutrition in it and it will bloat you and make you tired. All it does is turn into sugar. That is basically what salad does with a ton of arsenic in it. All your doing is putting sugar in your body. Foods that are composed of carbohydrates are turned into sugar or glucose. These include foods such as pasta, bread, vegetables, fruit, and rice= eat meat. Just because you lost weight doesn't mean you are being healthy.

Yes, but don't you put Sauerkraut on hotdogs or sausages? seems counter productive.

Your guidance has changed my life and is slowly changing my 72-year-old father's life. I started with the Carnivore diet to lose extra body fat then started adding all of the beneficial fermented veggies back. This is what I have been eating (arugala salad with oil, apple cider vinegar and fresh garlic) after fasting and my blood pressure is great. Trying hard to keep it down without using medicine. That salad keeps it down. Thank you for all of your information Dr. Berg.
Do you do this for every meal? I’m on medication and want to go off
Happy to see that you are fastng. Probably the bigger factor in blood pressure.
Thank you for this valuable information. I’ll be applying this and consuming all of these daily.
- wild caught salmon has high omega 3 which supports arteries, heart muscles, and decreases arterial inflammation and blood pressure
- sauerkraut has 7x the rda of vitamin c and k2, high levels of lactic acid bacteria which acts as an ace inhibitor which lowers blood pressure, it inhibits biofilms which can cause plaque, reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease through supporting the guy with microbes. Lactic acid helps regulate ldl and enhances production of bio salts which help with the abstention of vitamin d, e, and k2.
- Vitamin c inhibits biofilms and acts as an antioxidant which prevents lesions and damage to arteries. Biofilms can only stick to rough parts of the arteries which vitamin c prevents.
- Arugula is good cruciferous which is good for the liver, has blood glucose lowering properties, loaded with DIM which helps lower biofilms. The fiber helps feed bacteria, it’s loaded with potassium which helps keep the arteries soften which effects blood pressure
- Extra virgin Olive oil has effects on blood pressure as well as anti inflammatory effects.
- Apple cider vinegar has properties that lower risk of cardiovascular disease. It help lower and regulate blood sugar. Helps regulate cholesterol. Helps mobilize biosalts. Has anti inflammatory properties
- sunflower seeds spike vitamin E
- Hard cheeses are loaded with vitamin k2
- Parmegiano from Italy is produced by a small group of farmers in northern Italy who keep standards high for cheese production. The cows graze on a variety of plants which affect the micronutrient profile of the cheese. Something not done in the United States. Get authentic Italian cheese and shave it onto salad.
- Parmegiano is a good source of protein, probiotics, and k2.
- garlic(powdered, raw, fermented) thins the blood, reduces blood pressure, anti microbial, prevents biofilm
Great video, keep in mind periodontal disease is closely related to vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D also helps keep tight junctions between the cells to prevent bacterial leakage. As a dentist i don't believe that periodontal disease spreads to cause dementia, and or cardiovascular disease, but that those individuals with periodontal disease have very low vitamin D levels, which correlated with major illness of every kind. fix the D level (preferably by natural sunlight exposure) which controls the gut microbiome, and a lot of problems disappear....
Vitamin D helps keep gap junctions tight....And may help prevent Cancer
Ok..I struggle with periodontal disease and three deep pockets.
Can this be reversed? I have never been a sun lover (will become one now that I know!) but have taken 2000 iu of Vit D3 since covid.
Thoughts?
Would having the surgery (flaps) help to clean out the pockets and then when protocol would you suggest to follow after that?
Thank you soo much! I agree, and with follow through with your advice. This channel attracts true thinkers that want true answers .it's great!!🤗
I had a blockage break loose in my leg while I was sleeping, 18 years ago. It went through my heart and stopped in my neck. I almost died. I passed out. When I awoke, I was in pain from my leg all the way to my heart and up to my neck. I prayed. I didn't want to die. The Lord repeated these words in my mind for hours afrer I prayed: "Grape juice. Grape juice. Grape juice."
Confirming it, my radio was on, listening to a radio program that the host did a commercial for Welch's grape juice.
I bought 5 gallons at a big box grocery store and drank 1 gallon per day. I kept drinking between 1 and 2 gallons per day for about 2 months, then stepped it back to a half gallon per every other day for anotherI month.
My blood pressure was 185 over 110 at the time of the blockage breaking free. After 2 months of drinking grape juice, it was 105 over 60 and stayed there since the past few years, going to 110 over 70. Which is still good. I thank God for His mercy.
And now you have diabetes from the INSANE amount of sugar you ingest.
You’re Blessed. PRAISE THE LORD

Uk - I use to be 22 stone in weight which is 308ibs, I now weigh 15.5 stone which is 217 - my body fat is 27% apparently. I Recently had it checked by a studio in Cambridge for a fee (health check included). I lost a lot of my weight by simply changing my diet, exercising and taking up some hobbies.
My morning routine: -
around 7-8am awake, I do 30-50 burpees before breakfast
Breakfast - porridge, fruits, fat yogurts (not diet), sometimes toast it depends on work
I skip lunch so between 9am to 5pm I dont eat, except for fruit and water
dinner - anything but carbohydrates, I eat a lot of fish, red meats, vegetables and dry foods.
Snacks - Nuts, dry berries, fruits (oranges my fav I guess because of the sugar) occasionally a square piece of chocolate (rare)
drinks - Coffee and water only. Black coffee mostly.
Exercise - 3-5 days a week. I do weights every 2 days and jog every day that isnt weights. example
monday - weights, arms and chest
tuesday - 3 mile jog
wednesday - weights, upper body
thursday - 3 mile jog plus leg weights
friday - weights arms and chest
saturday - rest, usually go out
sunday - depends on family, but I do manage to go for a jog most evenings
Depends on job, life and events happening. But above is a routine I stick to most of the time and its helped me keep the weight off for years after. I am 33 years old now and suffered as a very heavy person at the age of 21.
edit - I did have asthma really badly aswell, my breathing was 350 on the peak flow test but these days it ranges from 600-650, still have asthma. So its hard being asthmatic and overweight. Get the weight in check ppl before its to late.

One of the most useful things you could add to this would just be to explain what sauerkraut is for example: sauerkraut is.... eg: "Sauerkraut is finely cut raw cabbage that has been fermented by various lactic acid bacteria. It has a long shelf life and a distinctive sour flavor, both of which result from the lactic acid formed when the bacteria ferment the sugars in the cabbage leaves. It is one of the best-known national dishes in Germany."

I have been eating this meal for awhile and I feel great! My only critique is you gotta be careful of the sunflower seed because it is high in omega 6, and even worse it could be cooked with Canola or sunflower seed oil already which make it even higher in omega 6. I got a cold soon after I ate salad with sunflower seed and mayonnaise a couple days. So I add more Chia seed instead or have to make sure there is another source of omega 3 while adding the sunflower seed.
You are very much right Dr. Berg, I've also heard that bad oral hygiene may lead to cardiovascular issues. Here's the interesting part, intermittent fasting leads to better oral health because one doesn't eat very often so food particles are collected relatively less. In addition, better immunity and to a certain degree autophagy don't let bacteria thrive that well. Of course this is only my own opinion.

Although eliminating sugars reduces the acid load, Dr Bergs other recomds are highly acid forming in the long term that prevents youthful and high energy in later decades.
@@BULSHYTT lol for real
@@BULSHYTT me too 💕
I don't you know personally but thank you so much for helping us be knowledgeable about our health. Thank you Dr.Berg!!
We went to a dairy in Parma. She grew up on a farm and immediately identified the quality of the grass feed as crucial to the superiority of the milk. Dairy manager enthusiastically agreed. We bought a kilo. Lasted a year. Been mail ordering ever since
I was just told that my CRP is "high sensitive". I spent the last 4 days researching what to do to improve my conditon. Thank you for your video on cleaning out my arteries. Besides my adjusting my diet, I already order Niacin 500 mg extended release. Question: how can i take Co Q10? liquid or how many pills a day? what strength? Any brand in particular? same with Niacin. Any particular brand? God bless you Dr. Berg.......you never cease me to surprise myself about your wisdom. Again, God bless you1!!
Thanks Dr. Berg, People like you make the world a better place!!
This man and dr. Mandel have been a tremendous blessing for me and my family. Thank you so much Dr. Berg. Keep doing what you are doing. Making a difference in so many peoples lives.
Those are the two Drs I watch as well !! ❤️
Thank you, glad your available here for everyone. Nowadays it's very hard to even get an appointment with our local Dr.
Terrific piece Dr. Eric - picking up Arigula on the way home.
Your visual aids are very pleasing on the eyes as I listen to you. I have always had extra calcium buildup around my joints, great tips!
You're a dream doctor of the people to use your knowledge to sensitively educate us so we can better our lives. That's beautiful and will never be forgotten. Thanks Dr. Berg!
No problem. Glad to share information that can help you all.
@@Drberg God bless you Doc
@@Drberg LOVE the videos. I did a cursory search for parmagiano cheese online. it is very expensive. How can we know that we are buying a type that gives the benefits you speak of and are there any moderately priced sellers you know of?
Does anyone with a lot of stents have experience with taking D3K2 for arteries?
I don't think he's a medical doctor
Very happy I've watched this video so much and would love to meet Jim
I enjoyed your presentation and will implement your recommendations.
On the flip side, what would you recommend for
someone with low blood pressure?
I make pesto with arugula, olive oil, lemon juice and sunflower seeds - then add some parmesan. I eat it hot or cold mixed with anything or used as a spread. I eat this a lot - glad to see so many of its ingredients are listed as so good for you ! Thanks Dr. !!!
with garlic?
Why does arugula keep me from getting sleep at night? Even the salad for lunch. Too much energy... just weird!
Sounds delicious!
Wonder if saurkraut could be blended into the pesto? I despise saurkraut. Lol
Sounds great! I prefer to use lemon juice in place of vinegar too.
Thanx Doc. Berg for patiently discussing w/ us Ur Lesson about the Importance of Vitamins & Minerals + the bacteria that hides in the mouth..Thank U very much..
This video is important to me because bad cholesterol is the only black sheep bad amongst my periodical tests results. Me at 71 am healthy with no other problem. I will follow the advice here. Thank you, sir.
No problem. Hope the will help you. Stay safe and healthy!
Dr Berg, I have had two heart attacks at the age of 50, I'm now 63. The branch artery was 95% blocked but never stunted as it was too small. I have been on Avapro 75 mg (HBP medication) and Crestor 5 mg (Cholesterol medication) and Cartier 100 mg (Asprin). I viewed one of your videos that advised to take vitamin K2 Mk7 & D3 together to help with lowering blood pressure, etc. I have recently taken up a basic exercise program for 3 days/week (1 month now). I've been on the K2 (120 msg & D3 7,000 iu) for about one month. However, checking my blood pressure recently, it has now gone higher than usual from 130 systolic to 149 systolic and the diastolic which has never been high is now 90 and over. I have also been taking 1/2 a tablet (50 mg) of high absorption magnesium for one month also. Could you please tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thank you.
I might consider going to the doctor if I could find one like you. Thank you so much for these videos!!
As a woman with high blood pressure, this video and knowledge is very much appreciated Dr. Berg. Blessings ❤
Have you tried increasing your intake of potassium? See Dr Berg's video
@@annrenee3265 Yes, high potassium and other electrolytes from Dr Berg is what helps me most efficiently. Additionally to doing healthy keto and intermittent fasting ❤

😊 thank you .. @ least 2 items will be a long away drive but my health is worth it .. 🙏
Thanks to this Chanel I’ve learned how bad sugar, vegetable oil and eating lots of carbs is and how healthy it is to do intermittent fasting and making sure to eat all the nutrients that my body requires.
Thank you doctor!
if you're more than 3 years old and u just found out it's just sad XD
@@vice012 You aren't going to automatically know vegetable oils are bad especially at age 4. Lol you sound ignorant af smh lol. Bad carbs; makes sense no one on this planet with some years on them wouldn't not know waffles, cereal, pasta, cake has no real nutritional value.
Sir in entire life of UA-cam...you are the only person I took seriously and followed you... while not consuming sugar or sugar added products.. for 21 days challenge and I got the same results what you said...thank you Sir...and keep pondering the knowledge...

That was very informative. I appreciate it so much. You went into full detail about everything. Thank you, Dr. Berger.
Just 'Berg,' not Berger. (Perhaps you were hungry?) ;P
Thankyou for speaking slowly and easy to understand. I like how you explain it so it's easy to take in all the information clearly 😊
Glad to help!
Trader Joe’s carries a raw, fermented sauerkraut in their refrigerated section. It contains Persian cucumbers...I don’t think they’re organic, so this would be the only drawback. However, it’s a tasty blend and is reasonably priced. Hope this helps by offering an easy find! :)
Dr Berg, this is one of your best videos(especially for me) ever!! Thank you for all you do. I really appreciate it!
Glad to know that you liked this post!
