The Band for making this awesome music
Every one of you guys watching this now
I love yall! :)
That kid would be a great politician; he just rambles on and on without ever making a point.
Exactly. That's called being verbose. It doesn't make the argument an intelligible one, it just makes it appear so. I kind of find that frustrating myself. His ideal here seems to be to make his language as complicated and convoluted as possible so that people will fall into his trap. The ideal goal of language should be to shoot for clarity in communication. "What do you mean by this...? What do you mean by that...? And actually getting to the crux of the matter. I know not all concepts are that easy to follow, but individuals should at least try to make it easier for layman ears to follow.
That kid gave me ptsd flash backs of my idiot PM treudouche rambling on about nothingness hearding all the sheeple
My thoughts too.
When are you going to react to Peterson's British GQ interview by Helen Lewis? That was all out war from first question, it's bit long but worth watching.
Man hearing JP talk about that interview is crazy hearing how hatefull she was from the first hello to the final goodbye its bizzar
didn't he react to a clip from that one?
@@LN-Lifer He did.
@@sonbellamy8438 its not bizarre its what happens when people's world view it legitimately threatened by reality
@@christophercombs7561 thats true but most of the time even JP says before the interview normally the people are kinda and courteous and polite then right when the interview starts they flip and start attacking and start being condescending. But with the GQ interviewer he says that from the jump she was hostile and rude and told him ‘theres gunna be a battle’. He held his own very well and in my mind came out on top but once she started off talking to me like that i wouldv just left the interview no shot someone is gunna be rude and expect me to have a decent convo you know? JP is a different breed lol
This kid is driving me freaking nuts. He loves listening to himself talk.
Delusions of grandeur imo
Pretty typical in young highly political people, they believe they cannot be defeated in an argument.
Honestly would anyone hire this kid? In my line of work he wouldn't last a day.
Watching the lawyer inside of Alex raging like a bull in a china shop is the most entertaining part of this video. WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO ASK A F****** QUESTION! 🤣
Lol that's about right. I don't think the guy really had any good faith questions, he just wanted to hear himself talk.
It's sad to see . Everyone on social media is a comunists . You all have to watch what you say , watch what you do and having a sense of humor is against the law ... I'm glad I can make comments . When I was on Facebook , It was exusuting . Getting into fights because of a joke or a sarcastic comment .
@@santosmadrigal3702 Same happened to me. Very close friends are now enemies and I'm so glad for it because this fiasco has proven who the true nasty people are. I said something to my friend who was going through a really hard time with loneliness and despair, and I tried to make the point that he is not alone because I remember distinctly when I was in the 8th grade I realized how alone I really was in the world, that people are cruel and insane in many ways. Anyway, his brother hops into the conversation along with some other random chode calling me an "Edgelord" and when I tried to defend my position my friend's brother says, "Yeah, well my buddy here is really smart so I'm going with his side to it". Oh, it finally comes out! You think I'm a moron, got it. Bye-bye. Silver lining I suppose. Last time I try to help anyone with their psychological shit, that's for sure. Unless she cleans my house, cooks my meals, makes my dick hard and not my life, I don't care what is going on in your head. Fight your battle on your own, I say.
Oh, and to any feminazis wanting to go apeshit off my comment, I work every day, therefore I cannot help with the house ALL the time. I need a teammate, a woman, who isn't afraid to take care of shit when I can't and vice versa. It's called being a fucking TEAM!
Alex, i ,may be old, but if we had more young people like you, I would be very optimistic about our future.
I agree. It doesn't seem like Alex agrees with me on a whole lot, but he's focused himself on discovering the truth, not on trying to affirm what he already thinks he knows. That's far more than most people do. I can tell that regardless of his or my opinions on anything, he would assume I was acting in good faith and respond appropriately, and I love that.
I'm sure there are a lot of "young people" like Alex. It's just that you don't see all of them making content for youtube.
I would have to agree with you on this subject.
They are out there. Ya gotta keep looking.
I am not a violent person, but that dude's condescending, hyper 'intellectual" tone makes me want to slap him. He could have summed that all up in like 3 sentences.
He is annoying, I will tell you that. I kind of hate it, when people feel the need to overcomplicate concepts.
Agreed100! He sounds like he’s hyped up on drugs and not truly asking a question 😳
Air time. When could this kid ever get that kind of pub
I think I would have given him more than a slap
@@Sherlock910it makes them feel smarter
On another note love that you are branching out your videos Alex love your channel
That kid said so much without saying anything :D
I recommend you watch Thomas Sowell. He gives fascinating insights into black history & culture
This honestly turned out to be such a superb channel. Seriously.
Jonathan Haidt is definitely worth checking out, whether for the channel, or just for your own sake. His book "The Righteous Mind" really helped me understand the current political climate on a deeper level.
Also is worth reading “The Coddling of the American Mind” that he wrote with Lukianoff.
Alex, this old lady (me) is very happy to have found your channel. Very insightful and inspiring to watch a younger person growing.
Jordan Peterson's ability to listen is amazing.
One my favorite parts of your videos are when you don’t know something or are unsure of something, you actually look it up.
That thing where you pre-plan your conversation without knowing what the other person will say and then try to steamroll through regardless? Yeah, I hate that too.
It never goes as planned.
Seeing the student trying to get it all out for that few minutes when he had the opportunity was annoying… but, JP giving him encouragement and listening to him in a respectful way was just awesome.
There are two type of Jordan Peterson people. Those who love himand those who hate a caricature of him.
Keep up with these videos buddy, we need more of this
8:49 - 9:00 🤣🤣🤣 I freaking love you alex
Student spends 10 mins trying to smuggle his intellectual attack on jbp under the guise of "asking a question".
Student was friggin annoying. You know he orders food at restaurants and sends it back to the kitchen at least 30% of the time - but before he rejects the food, he lectures the server for 10 minutes….
“I appreciate your delivering my meal, but I’d argue, and, in fact, I do make the argument that my pasta is not as specified. I specified el dente - you’re familiar with the term el dente? And another point that I must acknowledge is that the sauce is rather sparse. You do know what the word sparse means, correct? Would that be fair to say? Ok, well, I’m just questioning if the chef, or perhaps the chef’s assistants, all understand the concept of scarcity, specifically in terms of sauce distribution on a pasta dish. And you claim that this amount is typical, but I question your ability to gage what is truly typical. After all, what is typical and one’s ability to know it & then to really recognize it requires certain sensibilities that can be politicized without fair attention being paid to the goal of achieving equity within this food establishment. And this soup….”
God damn stop killing him, he's already dead! Lol
Friggin' brilliant! LMBO!!!!!
You nailed him. That’s hysterical
EXACTLY!! as a server I love these people (sarcasm) I really wanna say to them: "sir I have like 6 other tables and you stop me to complain about your food after I said I can get the kitchen to remake it?"
I just give that you gotta be frickin kidding me smile
Thank you for your channel, Alex. 💕
I'm enjoying watching you enjoying these videos! Brilliant content.
Never tell JP you haven’t put thought into your question! 😆
Dr. peterson is a great teacher, he teaches how to learn. That is the #1 trait that a teacher has to have, period.
Legend has it that kid is still there asking the same question
1:12, I think he’s saying that he thinks that he’s seriously thought about but he suspects that Dr. Peterson’s response will reveal he’s not thought it through as well as he thought he did.
This is what a college education will get you in today's world. A student who's probably not old enough to buy a beer, but has all the answer's to societies ill's..while babbling on about thing's they made-up in their own head, and trying to contribute that to someone else
They say that on quiet nights, you can still hear that kid's word salad droning on and on and on.
Alex!!! I want to thank you for listening to my favorite music. Nothing makes me happier then to share my favorite music and see its affects on others. Jordan Peterson has helped me time and time again, I wish Chester could have met him 😢
That squeaky Twit almost made me stab my ear canals with ice picks.
Asking a question filled with all of the possible answers is not a quest for knowledge. Asking questions framed in this manner is a way of attempting to intellectually corner the person you're speaking to. Peterson isn't going to allow such a thing to happen.
_Ask vague questions; get vague answers._
It's funny as hell to watch though.
This kid proves everything JP has been talking about.
Keep up the great videos.
It's like a toddler trying to argue with Stephen Fry. Hopelessly outmatched. And literal embodiment of the Dunning-Kruger effect. They're too ignorant to even realize how ignorant they are.
The reactions give me hope for the future.
dude chill! 😂😂 that was funny
He's Awesome! 🎉 So are you. I like your JP Videos BTW.
The British GQ interview is an excellent one to react to - although, i would love to see you reacting to any full interview, no matter how long your reaction vid would end up being!
I’ve watched this video multiple times and I haven’t seen a single person calling out my dude for sounding like Mort Goldman which makes this video way funnier
Holy shit can this dude just get the his question
Definitely check out Haidt. His book with Greg Lukianoff, “The Coddling of the American Mind” is brilliant.
When someone whos spent ten seconds thinking about something talks to someone whos spent 40 years thinking about something.
I was expecting a Monty Python edit when theyre all screaming GET ON WITH IT! :')
This kid has learned a few big words and now is so impressed with himself that he thinks he can win a debate with some of the smartest people in the world in a single breath.
On top of that he literally sounds like a South Park character.
Hayell yea Alex!
The sad part is, that he actually had a relevant topic/question.
But because he tried to make it a for and or against, or personalize it into you think I think, rather than just the topic, the topic just disappeared in his own agenda.
People are so focused on these agendas that they ignore facts, truths and accept lies and in correct statements to defend them.
They single knowledge down to single points. But you will never learn anything from any single point, you learn from understanding the bigger picture, that consist of many points.
You can never explain one topic if all your focus is only on a fraction of it. but that is what people do because of the " Got YA " agenda words.
If you try to explain something between difference between woman and men, and people ignore everything down to the point if you say something that they can twist into a political agenda.
But if the person speaking about the entire topic is not speaking about a political agenda but the general topic, because that is how you can come to understand in and thus improve it, people pulling out one point and removing everything else that was said around it, will never represent what the person was saying in the first place.
Never a good idea to try & outsmart JP rhetorically. Poor guy. I think he was a little overwhelmed by his great opportunity to put the evil man in his place.
JP is da man!
Hey Alex
Absolutely love the videos!!
Please keep em coming, you're the best.
On a side note,I really think you should check out the bonus track on the LP Minutes to Midnight Album. They were released recently for the album anniversary and you gotta check it ou,You'd love it!!
Thanks man:)
If a run-on sentence was a human...
it constantly surprises me how few people understand the 'subtle' differences between descriptive and prescriptive.
Listening to this kid to say a lot of fluff and nothing gave me a headache and raised my blood pressure
I love you man... for real... you are so smart! STAY SMART!!!
Wow... How can you be so calm with such.... Idk..
"The kid fucking bugs me" ..dead
Love your videos
That kid should host The View. 🤣🤣
Kid is one of those nerds that think they’re the smartest ones in the room, and loves to hear themselves talk. I’ve known a few people like this.
I'm a Jordan fan and all, but JP loves hearing himself talk. He's even said it. Don't pretend to be JP fan and say dumb shit. Just listen and enjoy his owning of this libtard
Great example of why one of my favorite quotes ever.. “If you don’t think, don’t talk”- The March Hare to Alice by Lewis Carroll. Book of Gem one liners like that.
I love that student
Do the debate/Q&A that he has in a TV program in Australia, ABCQandA. Its around 1½h so maybe 2 parts. Love your JP reactions ✌🏼
I'd love him to debate George Jenkins, as a black man who tells it like it is about blacks being dominant alpha males that whites , and JP who is on the other side let's say. I wonder who would look more honest
Love the JP content 👌 👏 😍
it's amazing that people have these 2 minute questions.. yet JBP refutes the foundations of their question, yet they persist with their initial thoughts. I may get a chance to speak with JBP in a few months and I am trying to get my question for him down to 20 seconds.. its not easy to be precise in your speech.
I hope Jordan sees one of your reactions. I'm sure he'd love them.
That is the opening line to a NOVEL: the idea that I put thought into this is perhaps an optimistic one... GREATEST FORESHADOWING EVER!!!! 😂😂
This kid is top tier trolling...he isnt being serious at all lol
Pleaseeee react to more JP, those trying to silence him need him the most
You should take Haidt's 5 Moral Foundations test. It's eye opening. It asks really abstracted, morally grey questions and judges your moral values across things like Sanctity, Loyalty, etc. The left score high in only Care and Fairness (ie, they do not consider loyalty important in morality). The right score everything fairly evenly. It's pretty eye opening
Keep doing these. Ignore those who get on you about doing these videos
Has to be from the loins of the Micro Machine guy that was in their commercials from the 80's!!
Don't be fooled, this kid's endless bloviating is a tactic meant to obfuscate, overwhelm, and simply frustrate the opponent. See the "Mean Mad White Man " exchange with Michael Dyson for a perfect example. Paragraphs upon pages of scary, eloquent nothingness.
That entire "Debate" frustrated me. Although it made me highly admire Steven fry, a whole lot more
This is how kids from the left talk
@@inspirationaluniverse3921 you spelled " nice bit of trenchant sardonicism" incorrectly.
Hey Alex, great reactions JP. I suggest you react to "Jordan Peterson - His Finest Moment." It is very rant-like, and try not to pause because the flow of his talk is mesmerizing.
Someone, anyone... PLEASE, tell me the name of his intro/outro music and where to buy. I cannot find it anywhere!
"What's your question, caller?"
3:50-BRO!!!! THIS IS THE FCKN LEFT TODAY!
Alex for your next reaction, u need to react to more Coldrain they r super underated and rly good
the most important thing in the learing process is listening
i red and still reading alot of books and articals from every branch of science and education and on on on.....
the most single important thinb you should know is to listen well befoooooore speaking
I'm Canadian and proud of Jordan Peterson
I know, can you to react to then he called that fat asian girl ugly?? Very true opinion
I assume you were also part of that moronic convoy, too, yeah? How's your Qanon Queen up there?
So when are we going to get that reaction to the new arch enemy song
The student is absolutely terrified to the point his voice is cracking lol. I hope he had clean underwear when he went home.
It is amazing to me to see the word salads the left come up with when confronted with very simple questions
What is “the left” and what evidence do you have that this kid is of “the left” or are you programmed to believe that anyone who doesn’t like Peterson (who claims to be a “liberal”) is a member of “the left?”
Its like their a Trump press secretary
@@christophermarang.3569 I read an old statement from Winston Churchill that sounds something like this. If you are young and NOT a liberal, you have no heart. If you are still a liberal when you are older, you haven't learned anything. Take no offence.
@@alandealing7144 I’m not “offended” I’m confused to what you assume “the left” is. I hear it a lot, but it sounds like code for “everything I don’t like.” The left aren’t liberals because the left is more extreme, but the right aren’t the left even tho they’re also extreme, it sounds a lot like “moderate propaganda.” Maybe if Churchill didn’t die before Civil Rights was codified he could have reevaluated his stance.
@@christophermarang.3569 speaking of word salad lol.
I'd say the individual asking the question wanted to get as much spotlight as he could get once he got it. Quite common today.
9:55, exactly
I haven't seen such a big of a man crush in a long time and it's adorable
There is an older joe rogan pod where he talks more about the hierarchy and talks about how they are predicated on the ability to have upward movement and ability to have those above treat us below with compassion and civility. In a perfect world were we could have all we wanted without other people losing then sure get rid of the hierarchy, but the fact is they serve a purpose which is why they naturally exist in nature (IE the lobster research). The trick is that people in power must work to keep the hierarchy from leaning tyrannical which hierarchys naturally tend to do through human history and in that balance that they work best
I'm enjoying Alex review / react and comment on Jordan's oratory. Can anyone recommend me a good starter book or powerful book by Jordan as my first text? I also recommend Alex - react to Jordan and Steven Fry interview / discussion. That's a REALLY great exchange and extremely thought provoking.
His two books, “12 Rules for life”, and “12 more rules for life” are excellent indicators of where he’s coming from. And excellent books. Each is complementary to the other. His first book (he’s only got the three) is “Maps of meaning” and is DENSE, complicated and possibly genius. But not an introduction. :-) By far the largest amount of his thoughts and ideas are on UA-cam or his podcasts. You could do worse than just dip in and see where it leads you. In most cases, his videos are pretty self contained. Unless they are part of a series, but those are pretty obvious.
@@StorminATube thanks!
openmindedness is key, so many people believe they are openminded, but truly arent and it saddens me deeply.
5:24, he’s saying that Dr. Peterson talks about things aside from Free Speech and that he’s concerned about the possibility that his defence of free speech will be overshadowed by his other political stances
Please react to Nomy - no control
i just discovered this and its sending chills of emotions. Outstanding voice.
Alex...I'll keep watching for the Marvel Mondays, but my subscription is for the Jordan Peterson reactions.
I sat there wondering, "Is there a question looming on the horizon?" Good grief, Charlie Brown, fish or cut bait.
8:27-Dude! This is the regular left today!
Peterson and Haidt have had at least one talk with each other, I recommend it/them.
I love all your reactions however my tell ever my favorites are your political reactions! And I'll see your Breaking Benjamin & 3 day grace ones but the political ones are amazing!!!
See this as a learning experience on behalf of the student, the student is currently practicing debating/challenging another person's view. He's a bit "all over the place" with it, but he is trying.
I don't think most people would even use hierarchy in this way.
Coddling of the American Mind is an amazing book 📕
1:55, I would say that yes, you should check out Jonathan Haidt
You really gotta link the new video reaction channel on your main account, chief.
This kid speaking makes a great case for public stonings.
