As a non-binary person, I really like watching Jordan Peterson because he questions “woke ideas” and not our existence as a whole. He understands that we exist, but he questions the absurdity that arises in the community sometimes, which I admire

What is non-binary? I'm a moderate conservative but I have a very open mind and I'm not a bigot. I just want to be able to ask questions without somebody thinking that prejudice (how in the hell can I be prejudiced when my family is Indian and Scottish?) Rest of my family is black white Puerto Rican and Mexican. I look French according to my daughter but that's because I had two great grandma's that were French. I have Indian hair and Indian skin because I can get out in the sun for an hour and I have a tan for the summer. (Unfortunately because I am of Indian blood I have systemic lupus arithmetosis and rheumatoid arthritis. Lupus is very very common I'm getting amongst black, Latino, Asian and Indian groups).. I've got thick coarse hair like an Indian. It's absolutely unmanageable in the South during the summertime. I have to put oil on it. My grandson is biracial and my son-in-law looks better than Jason Derulo.. I looked at my daughter and her boyfriend and I kept thinking "if they have kids God help them because they got so much chemistry between the two of them". The two were just standing side by side. They weren't even hugging or kissing and I could see that chemistry.
My son-in-law has two daughters by a former girlfriend and his daughter's are 17 and 16. The oldest is going to turn 18 in October. Beautiful girls and tall because their mama is 6 ft and their daddy is 6'2. The youngest one is about 5 ft 11 or 6 ft already and she's only 16. She likely won't get any taller. (Maybe an inch).. I grew an inch between the time I was 15 and 18.
The oldest girl is about 5'8. Still 6;in taller than the average woman.
My grandson is five and a half years old and he's smart smart and cute as hell. He is biracial.
I will not feel sorry for the person who tries to tell my grandson he's oppressed when he starts school because he's biracial (like automatically classifying him as being black when he's half white as well). My grandson is beautiful and he can count in the 100s and he can read big words at 5 years old. Need to work a little bit more on his handwriting but he can still read it and he knows his numbers. He loves to learn. He'll probably end up being an engineer or a doctor . Of the numbers so he could be a mathematician or a statistician for all I know. Ezra is Only five.
The first person that tells my grandson he's a pressed etc etc is going to get a mouthful from my daughter. According to cultural literacy or critical race theory, the teachers will tell these multiracial kids that their Caucasian parent is an oppressor and their minority parent is oppressed. There's not one damn thing about my son-in-law that's oppressed. His dad sounds like he's from Jamaica and black and his mother is American black. His dad might not be Jamaican but he sounds like he's from that area because of his accident and could be from the Dominican Republic. I'll have to ask my son-in-law the next time I see him. I love his daddy's accent.
My son-in-law works in IT & HE'S A DAMNED GOOD PHOTOGRAPHER AND HE DOES THAT ON THE SIDE TO MAKE EXTRA MONEY. HE MAKES GOOD MONEY ANYWAY BUT HE LOVES PHOTOGRAPHY. NOTHING WRONG WITH MAKING AN EXTRA LITTLE BIT OF DOUGH ON THE. MY DAUGHTER IS AN MSW AND SHE'S A LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER WHO WORKS WITH THE VETERANS ADMINISTRATION. MY DAUGHTER MAKES MORE THAN HER HUSBAND BUT THAT'S ONLY BECAUSE SHE'S GOT A MASTER'S DEGREE WHEN HE HAS SERVED IN THE MILITARY FOR 4 YEARS ARMY ACTIVE DUTY AND GOT HIS ASSOCIATES DEGREE. MY DAUGHTERS STUDENT LOAN IS $1,500 A MONTH AND THAT KIND OF PUT A DAMPERS ON HER $70,000 A YEAR INCOME BY THE TIME SHE TAKES $18,000 OF IT TO PAY HER STUDENT LOANS BUT SHE'S GOT TO PAY HER TAXES FIRST.
JUST SAYING.. BY THE TIME SHE PAYS $18,000 IN STUDENT LOAN THAT SHE MAKES ABOUT $52,000 BUT SHE PAYS TAXES ON $70,000 SO DOES SHE MAKES LESS THAN HER HUSBAND. 😂 I DON'T WANT THEM TEACHING MY GRANDSON THAT TRASH..

Ameerah, you're the first person I have seen on my interwebz haunts to declare that they are non-binary. I would like to get your thoughts on the modern LGBTQ+ ideology, so i have 3 questions for you.
1 Back in the simple days, the community was associated to sexual orientation hence LGB. Since the other letters are not associated with sexual orientation but how one identifies themselves as, do you believe that what has been added to LGB be under LGB? Just to elaborate, we now know the T is for transgender not transsexual, as i know it, non-binary comes under transgender, so should those who identify as non-binary whose sexual orientation is heterosexual belong under LGB?
2 The original LGB flag was inclusive to all who's sexual orientation was L, G or B no matter what their skin colour is, any idea why the new flag segregates POC with their own black/brown stripe?
3 Any idea who from the LGB movement is responsible/in authority that approves adding letters and colours to the acronym & flag?

Most of the world doesn't even comprehend the insanity that liberals defend all the time
I mean a man can be a man and tomorrow he can be a woman and better yet just after one year of hermione therapy can just get into women sports and completely destroy the competition
A 5 years old little girl can choose her gender and start getting chemically castrated at the age of 9 and have her breasts chopped at 15-16 and yet she can't have alcohol until she is 21
Men have periods and can get impregnated by women
Outside of English speaking countries like the us and the uk most of the world would look at you like you are insane when you tell them about this stuff
And I don't belive that most of America actually belive that if a man says that he is a woman he is truly a woman ...they just want to be polite about it and hurt people feeling and they ofcourse don't want to keep getting labeled names just like you did by calling anyone who doesn't belive in your ideolgies a bigot and the recent polls show that more than half the country doesn't belive that trans people should compete in the other sex sport while 31% think that they should and the remaining percentage selected I don't know

Bill C-16 was absolutely about compelled speech. It made misgendering someone or refusing to use their preferred pronouns a hate crime. During the hearing where it was debated, Peterson was invited to speak. He said that he wouldn't oppose hate speech law, but he would oppose compelled speech under threat of imprisonment. He was laughed at because the politicians in the room insisted that there were no provisions in the bill for imprisonment, only for fines issued by a tribunal. They all stuttered when he asked simply, "And what happens if someone refuses to pay the bloody fine?"
Peterson saw three steps past what their legislation read and he has been proven right since.

Exactly, great points. Every government order, whether bill, executive order, etc. at the end of the day is enforced by men with guns who will throw you in prison for non-compliance (or potentially worse). That's why it's incredibly important to consider the legislation you support incredibly carefully and ask the question "should people be thrown in prison for this", and to ask that question honestly instead of treating your opponents as ontologically evil entities that deserve the worst fate imaginable for what amounts to small ideological differences.

Wrong, that is a huge false comparison.
Do you go to jail regardless what cause the fine? Yes or no ? Yes you do if you do not pay the fine, it is the not paying of the fine that get you sent to jail.
In more civilized countries you pay the fine if you want it or not. You get a fine, if you do not pay it, it will grow, if you still don't pay it , they will take your assets to cover it. Putting people in jail for all kind of nonsense is why the USA has more people in jail than any other country on the planet per capita. That and the fact that crime runs rampant.

Apparently, it's not enough to just read the bill to fully interpret it. You have to read several other documents that are linked to how to define certain parts of the bill. Every time JBP mentioned to read the other parts relevant, it seems to go over some people's heads.

    • @TheKaneECO
      @TheKaneECO Рік тому +6

Correct. The bill c-16 doesn't outright say "you must say these words or else". However the utility and leverage the bill provides enables such actions to occur.
Ultimately it sets the stage for the possibility that you could be charged and fined for misgendering someone, and if you don't pay those fines you go to jail.
      That's compelled speech.
The bill went through several meetings becasue one side of the table was concerned about this possibility and the other side denied it would ever be a problem.
Here's where it gets fishy. One of the members proposed an additional addendum at the end of the bill. It read something like "nothing in this bill can or will be allowed to be used as a way to compell the speech of citizens"
Seems pretty reasonable. And given that the other side claimed that "there's no reason to worry about that" it seems like a fine addition. But they rejected the addendum....
Why? Why would they reject the addendum? They never had intentions of compelling speech right? So why exactly can't that be a part of the bill?
      Fishy.

This is a scary time for humanity. If even ONE *affirmed transgender patient* ends up detransitioning, we have a serious fault in affirmation therapy.... Especially when we're dictating that *only* affirmation therapy is appropriate for those who believe themselves to be transgender and suffering gender dysphoria and/or confusion.

No one (for both selfish and unselfish reasons) is going to listen to a patient say 'hey I think I'm a woman/man stuck in a man's/woman's body' and immediately decide they should transition. And that's something that frankly a lot of people either don't know or hide in these debates. There's months if not years of therapy, multiple sign offs even multiple licensed professionals involved.

This concept might help keep your vids organized and balanced so you don't too immersed in one thing over another? Just my 2¢ - whatever you do, "ih'll beh GREHHT!!" When I was in high school and college I would just let my music playlists go in the background while I was doing more grindy stuff. But now I find myself drawn to hearing from people much smarter than myself while I'm doing those monotonous tasks. Peterson, Shapiro, Knowles, Rogan, Pool, Crowder, I even listen to podcasts in the car most of the time now. I had a cr accident where I was hit by a truck when I was in my car. It wasn’t my fault as I was obeying traffic laws and the truck didn’t, they struck me and I had no power to stop it from happening. This caused me to have panic attacks when I was driving my car and saw a truck, where a would park my car and get out of it and sit down for 30 mins before I could drive my car again. I went to a therapist and she was amazing. She didn’t tell me to stop being scared of trucks. She taught me to manage the fear a small step at a time. First I had to pull my car over and stay in it. She taught my techniques to relieve my anxiety while still taking myself away from the truck but still being in my car. This taught me to deal with the anxiety in the environment that causes the anxiety. This slowly evolved into controlling my anxiety whilst still near the truck, which over time resulted in me not having anxiety whenever I was near a truck. I no longer have anxiety and can drive side by side with a truck. She completely cured me by teaching me how to cure myself. It was amazing to see first hand how a skilled therapist can help someone without actually doing anything herself to change my situation. I will forever be in awe of her. I forgot to mention the car accident caused me significant spinal injury that has ended my career in construction, this is why I had so much anxiety near a truck.

I feel like that stereotypes what is a girl and what is a boy are reinforced. you can't be a boyish girl or a girlish boy anmyore. They want to push you to transision if you show those characteristics.
I liked to play with cars and hated dolls growing up, my favourite colour as a child was blue, I still hate pink, I love sience and logic thinking, I never got along with other girls very well and always hung out with the boys. But no one ever told me I'm not a girl or that I should be a boy because of this. Yes I was bullied at school and in my teenage years I had depression because there were not many people like me and I never belonged until I went to university. In todays environment the alphabet-people would have urged me to change my gender and accept that I was a boy. But I'm a woman and I love being a woman. I have a loving husband and a beautiful daughter and our second child is on the way. Had I transisioned I wouldn't have what I have today, maybe I wouldn't be alive because I still wouldn't fit into society.
I realized in my late 20 (when I met my husband) that I actually want to get married and have kids. Before that I was never sure if having a family would suit me and my goals in life and if I was fit for it, because I never felt very charmed by children or wanted to get close to them. But now I love being a mother.
Children can't make the decision to transision, they can't grasp what's at stake and the consequences of this. I'm over 30 and are still figuring out things about myself and I have changed and grown so much the last 10 years, I'm a completely different person. I certainly didn't know at 15 who I was, what I want from life and where I will be in 20 years. It's insane to me and I'm frightened with what my daughter will have to deal with in her teenage years, when she is vulnerable and confused about herself (as every teenager is. They are discovering their self and try to find a place in the world). I certainly will fight teeth and nail to keep this nonsense away from her. I don't care what other adults do to themselves, they have to deal with their own issues and the consequences of their action. But I will NEVER tolerate anyone manipulating my child into believing their ideology and harming her and robbing her of her possibilities in the future!!!

You should try reacting to Larry Elder on the Dave Rubin show. Gonna definitely piss some people off but it was really fascinating to see Elder make Rubin rethink his entire position in real time, and all he had to do was confront the inherent assumptions of the questions being asked. Elder got a bad rep recently because he ran for office recently during the CA governor recall last year, so as a result he got innumerable smear pieces made about him (including calling him the black face of white supremacy, as much sense as that makes), but I've listened to the man for 10+ years and he's one of the sharpest guys out there and it hurt to see him attacked like any average politician. Having grown up in inner city LA, he really wants to help other people trapped in the mentality he escaped from become successful and that's something that I think everyone should be able to get behind.

So in that, I dig for the core principals. And the core of these leftist attacks are not that they want people to be respected and to pursue their true selves. That is the cover, the marketing. When you look at their implementations, it is about compelling you, at the point of a government gun, to affirm their leftist beliefs. And that is the point they want to make. You are not an individual with autonomy. You are a pawn of the governments or even majority will of the people. There needs to be more than one mind on the matter, and the parents who force their kids into such things are in my mind, the worst of the worst. Childhood and puberty is a time of development and it should be allowed to run its course.

There was a Disney executive who was a bisexual mother and she was on Skype with someone basically bragging about how her little girl is pansexual and her other girl is transgender……the statistical odds of BOTH your kids turning out trans or pansexual by biological chance is ridiculously low, which leads me to believe the mother had a huge influence in ‘helping them’ discover their ‘true identities’……all so she could brag about them to her friends and show them off like little prizes…..these are the type of sickening parents I can’t stand. Risking her daughters physical, mental, and emotional health just so she could prove she’s progressive (keep in mind these were young children).

@@koshea44 yeah, it's one of the things I hate about parents who force their children into it. I mean granted, being pansexual is literally just "my attraction is rated E for Everyone" but it's far better to allow these things to be discovered and explored rather than cramming it down your child's throat. I didn't even know the definition of bisexual until I was 14, at which point the fact that I liked men and women (or boys and girls for my age) finally made sense. And again, I didn't discover the term "transgender" until two years after the fact, where my desire to dress as a woman and my extreme discomfort about my chest and "apparatus" made sense.
I found these things as a product of my environment. Learnt them of my own accord. They weren't shoved in my face as a kid.

It teaches us to parent the inner child, so it's not supressing emotions, it's taking them by the hand and showing them when to come out in a controlled manner as a tool, and when we have our own back enough to not need to act on the emotion at all. It ties into Stoic philosophy too.

I am a trans person, and I wanted to give my two cents on this topic. A lot of transgender people (at least in my generation/growing up, myself included) didn't really want any sort of special recognition. What we wanted, ultimately, was to be treated just like anyone else without fear of being harmed. I've been sexually assaulted by people who wanted to prove to me that I would never be who I am, not in their eyes, and it nearly destroyed me. I've been told people "like me" don't deserve to live. These things happened when I was a teenager primarily, a decade ago, and they were honestly the only things I wanted to change.
There is a loud minority on the internet, as there is with any extremist group, that enjoys imposing rather than existing. This can be true for any traditionally oppressed group in society--and in my eyes, it's taking us backwards. It's making people hate us more, they view us as invaders or inhuman and think we're too sensitive and entitled. Sincerely, I just want to be able to go about my day like any other person without worrying whether or not someone will clock me as transgender and use it to do me harm in various ways. I couldn't care less about pride, personally, but I understand that it's important to others and support the idea of it fully. Mostly as a space for the people who are genuinely proud of their lives, accomplishments and what they've been through.
I don't support the aggressive callout culture/cancel culture phenomenon to a degree. I can understand it if it's, say, a successful man or woman who's success came from the exploitation of other people. Be that women, men, fraud, etc. I don't support people doing it to other people, especially teenagers and young adults, as they're still learning and growing. A lot like the hostile attitude a lot of the younger trans generation displays, overt hostility towards someone who had no idea how to behave in the first place because they're young is going to rob them of the want to learn to do better. It takes their opportunity to grow from their mistakes and forces them into a victimized position where they are now being publicly shamed by their peers, and this is no better than outright bullying in the first place.
I believe people have a right to be who they are, feminine, masculine, trans, cisgender, it doesn't and shouldn't matter to anyone, we should all be equals. I don't support Jordan Peterson's ideas about men and women being fundamentally different and thus undeserving of being equals, but I understand his contentions for the current "woke" atmosphere in a lot of circles. I don't consider myself under any party or label, I love human beings and feel so much compassion for all of us. I firmly believe that our society shouldn't be built upon how useful someone is, and that it should be a supportive society that welcomes personal exploration in ones own time.
That includes gender expression, sexuality exploration, whatever, without anyone trying to diagnose or label or use it against anyone else. Gender and sex are such ridiculous things to hold onto as the core value of what and who we are, in my eyes, it should be the inside that matters most. Things like masculinity and femininity are forms of expression, and are neither good nor bad. But most importantly, I think people should learn to come to their own conclusions instead of parroting politicians who act like their subjective views are an absolute truth, which makes them no better than the people they disparage.
In an ideal world, the conclusion would be that we're all taking physical attributes way too seriously and hurting our fellow human beings in judging their value by their merit and not on who they are as a person. We condemn people once they mess up, we ruin their lives for honest mistakes, it shouldn't be that way. I firmly believe that all humans have a right to shelter, safety, food and medical care just by being alive and not that they need to earn it, which is probably my most "radical" view. This is just my take on it, and my views come from a place of empathy more than anything else. I've been called a devil's advocate by my own "community" before, but I don't see how being combative and treating others like enemies is going to do anything but radicalize them. We need to be kind to one another, all of us, including those of us outside the norm.

Men and women, generalized as groups, are fundamentally different. They have differences in biology, in the hormone levels present and muscle density; in the way they think, perceive the world around them, and interact with men and women; the way in which they raise children. You have to LISTEN to everything that Jordan Peterson says, not cherry pick what you here or preconceptions of what he says. Not all men or all women are identical, but men or women as a whole are more than likely to exhibit certain traits or characteristics of their gender.

    • @SgtSeth
      @SgtSeth Рік тому +3

"Gender and sex are such ridiculous things to hold onto"
Why are these such ridiculous things to hold on to? Men and women contribute to life in many different ways. Men typically raise children much differently than women do, but when a child is raised with both, the child learns from both of them a lot of different things. From how to interact with the sexes from the respective sex. They learn what or how a man or women should be in a relationship. They learn what to look for in a partner. Men and women, when raising a child on their own, can be successful, but the statistics do not lie. Most single parent children are at a huge disadvantage for adulthood. And the adults of single parent childhoods, when they are honest, will tell you the same. Alex Hefner said as mush in either this video or a previous video of his.
"it should be the inside that matters most"
There are a lot of things that should or should not be, but reality is not a world of should or should nots. People should always be respect one another but, they don’t always. Accepting reality and being able to function as a productive member of society are what makes us happier people. It’s the core of the Serenity Prayer. Whether you believe in a or the God is irrelevant, what it teaches us is the point. The serenity to accept things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference.
"But most importantly, I think people should learn to come to their own conclusions"
Have you not listened to what Dr. Peterson has said? I’m not claiming him to be the be all, end all on the topic of gender/sex, but his credentials are significant. It's almost like arguing with a mechanical engineer about the problem with a vehicle's transmission. You are trying to argue that if we leave the transmission alone, it will figure it out on its own. But the engineer is telling you that the transmission is not built to pull that weight or propel a vehicle to that speed. I'm not saying that humans are as simple as a transmission, but are you a trained and 30+ year experienced psychologist that has their own successfully practice, been peer reviewed on more than a few cases, written multiple best seller books that have rebuilt hundreds if not thousands of people lives? If the answer is no to the majority of the questions I have posed, then maybe opening your mind and ears to what he is saying may give you some insight into why life is the way it is and not the ideal reality you would like it to be.
And this is part and parcel of what is wrong with a lot of the arguments. We all FEEL life should be one way, but for the majority of us we understand and accepted that reality is different. We change what we can to make life better for everyone and to make life easier for everyone. Therefore, it's important that Equal Opportunity is a thing, but Equal Outcome is not and should never be. People are not wired to shoulder Equal Outcome.

I hate when people say "my truth," but it honestly feels like what I believe to be true has been labeled as bigotry, and every opinion I have on political issues is a "bad take" (so I'm told). There aren't many great voices on our side. Most, like Ben Shapiro, go too far right.
