No reason not to have backup batteries and backup computers in these, so if the head gets taken out there's one in the abdomen. If the top half is severed the bottom half (legs) could operate on their own. That sort of thing. Put some Level IV armor plates on them and they would be tough to shoot down or shrapnel. Likely could withstand concussive forces better too, so they don't get knocked out by blasts. It looks like there's no hydraulics here, just servos. Which means each joint can function independently, without relying on a body-wide system. Right shoulder/arm torn off, the rest of it goes on operating normally. Yes, whoever builds an army of these first wins the world. That's how this works. Goes along with AI too. We need to be first to have the army of AI controlled Light Infantry robots. So that we aren't the first to have to fight them.
Humans simply won't be able to compete with what's coming, to any degree. Soon, armies won't need to have so many people at all, and it will mostly be management and maintenance. Interesting times are coming.

Well previous model did work on gasoline lol Atlas had a small combustion engine.
Compressed air. The previous version has a compressor onboard.. this a very very creepy step in the right direction. Disturbing and frightening.

Well yea that's cause this video is cgi. I mean it's so obvious look at the textures and lighting it just clearly looks so cartoonish. It amazes me how no one sees that. Is it cause the description tells you it's real? I know Boston dynamics makes real robots, but their last atlas is all clunky and suddenly they have this super fluid moving robot? That looks like a cartoon? I'm sure it will be real or they maybe have real ones but this video is fake. They probably couldn't get it to move correctly so they decided to animate it for investors.

It may be made of metal, but there are hundreds of tiny electrical parts that you could probably break with a good hammer/bat strike.
The battery will be near center or center lower mass. Nets, fire, paint, and sand can blind and immobilize these drones. Target charging generators with .30 cal and above. Fuel tanks are easily pierced with the same sized rounds. Act accordingly.
