I've been desperate to get my hands on the new foundation from Guerlain and it's finally here! But is it as beautiful as the bottle?

My skin is normal with a very slightly oily t zone and early signs of aging like fine lines as well as some sun damage and REDNESS!
My Necklace:
I get sooooo many questions about it, I'm so sorry it's not a happy answer! Its actually 2 necklaces together, and both were gifts so I don't have much detail, here is everything my hubby can remember! The larger disc and the chain were from Azendi, it has a picture of the moon and reads "The same moon around the world" (which is something that meant a lot to us when we first met and he was travelling with work A LOT). The smaller discs were from www.notonthehighstreet.com and they have my daughter's fingerprints and name and date of birth and they were a present when she was born. They don't seem to be available anymore I'm sorry!!

Hi guys, quick update for you. I'm wearing the foundation again today with my tatcha primer and really no difference in results...it looks so lovely on first application but doesn't wear well on me...I'd say around the 4-5 hrs mark its breaking up on my chin and nose, emphasising pores and lines and looking like its hour 10. Let me know if you try it if it works better for you!! Maybe one for dry skin...🤔🤔
It's hapening the same to me with this Foundation!!!! Definitly returning!

amazing atthe begginning i thought its too warm, but now amazing, i always use 2 foundations, one number of shade difference, so i get the perfect match

Thank you for the review! Love your videos! I’ve got an oily T-zone and dry bits around my mouth and chin. I use this with the Bobbie Brown Vitamin enriched face base and apply with a Juno microfiber sponge applying a total of 2 pumps doing a quarter of my face at a time. I dot it on and press it in. Surprisingly, this is one of the only foundations the I get a full 16 hours of wear from. It’s light coverage but looks fresh on my skin until I remove it- it’s so interesting how foundation wear is completely dependent upon the skin type!

You're one of the few people who really does a proper close up....it helps give a real insight to how the product looks. As you said the foundation looked really good but not quite as perfect close up which was a shame! Fantastic review as usual x

You should do half your face with this foundation and the other half the Charlotte Tilbury Light wonder, so you can compare and I am very curious as well.. Maybe do a wear test with the both!
Hi lovely, I personally don't like doing half face comparisons, you cant do half of the areas such as chin and nose that are the most important. But I've given as much information for comparison in the video as I can against some similar foundations. To me that's more accurate as I'm also not totally symmetrical as far as lines etc. either it can be misleading x

darn. I feel like every foundation sort of does that to me down by the lines on the side of my lip like that. Just started thinking its just how my skin is and the foundation cant change my skin. Idk. lol. now im curious.
Everyone’s needs are different but I would be thrilled if I could get a foundation to last 6 hours without looking ratchet. 16 I can’t even imagine.

I got a sample of this foundation and I am also not convinced. It does not sit well on the skin after 5-6 hours. My skin is dry to normal and sensitive.

I appreciate wear tests- I have a 45 min. commute, work an 8 hr. shift. So, anything that looks good for 10+ hour's is a necessity. It doesn't look bad, just not as good as other's that you wear more regularly. ♥️

Thanks for reviewing this beautiful looking foundation.. it looks so pretty on you.. the scent for me is overwhelming and it made my eyes water throughout the day.. 😕 I'll need to return it.. maybe without the scent I'll keep it but I can't wear the foundation during the day with watery eyes.. lol.

Thank you very much for this review, I have been waiting for one since I absolutely love Guerlain's foundation line, Lingerie and Parure. You have really good skin so this not wearing well for a long time is quite disappointing esp with the price tag

Charlotte, between you and Mel Thompson, my arm was twisted to pick up the LM Lumiere foundation as my January purchase. Low buy... I think it will be a worthy addition (I really hope so!). Thank you for the detailed reviews; I am one of those whose face really needs to stay put for 10+ hours.

You were right, it is beautiful! My husband said that I looked very nice tonight (specifically referring to make-up, a rare compliment), and that was after 11 hours of wear. At first I was sceptical (looked a little dry along my jawline) but I haven't blotted or powdered since application & it still looks freshly applied. After lots of windy hair in face swipe backs, sweaty bus rides, overheated shops, laundry the works! I LOVE it. Thank you, Charlotte. I wouldn't have picked it up otherwise.

I prefer the CT over this one, I wouldnt say it was natural though, it's full coverage. KA I dont think will suit dryer skin as well x

Aww I hate when a foundation ages me! It looks like maybe one to wear more sheer like in the summer months or on a day where you just want light coverage... maybe give it another try with a different primer. Love your reviews and really enjoying watching your channel grow! ❤️
Me too! If I wear sheer foundation I still want it to cover my redness and it HAS to wear well so this is a no go for me at any time! I'm gonna give it another try though for sure! Xx

I just managed to get the Dew You foundation from Too Faced it’s beautiful thanx guurrl for the heads up on that one...Now this new foundation it looks absolutely beautiful on you..Charlotte you could put mud on your face and you’d still look beautiful...God you must be so sick of me saying that all the time but it’s true..I really don’t think any foundation lasts without a touch up at least once maybe twice..I don’t think it’s better than CT light Wonder..♥️🇦🇺

Love your tutorials! Can I just say that I bought this a few days ago and the beauty consultant said that I should use 1/3 of a pump? You used significantly more that that and it has become uneven as the day has passed. I have used the amount she advised and have not had that problem? However, I am older than you and I do have visible pores and slight lines so perhaps my result is due to having different skin... not sure?. Please keep the tutorials coming!
Thank you lovely!! 1/3 of a pump does NOTHING for me lol! Certainly wouldn't be anywhere near the medium coverage it claims! It didn't become uneven it was just wearing normally throughout the day which definitely depends on skin type etc. For me I just have foundations i much prefer as far as finish/coverage and wear etc. Xx

My skin is on the dry side, but this foundation doesn't perform well. I tried it on top of my HadaLabo UV white gel sunscreen, no setting powder or spray. The pros- it is moisturizing, feels good on the skin, it doesn't oxidise, it didn't emphasise fine lines (didn't blur them either though). The cons- it is strongly fragranced for my taste, it started breaking after 1h, completely rubbed of my chin, nose and forehead after 3h.
Very similar to my experience also, such a shame as it looks lovely at first!! Xx

I now want to buy the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder foundation, since you've talked about it so enthusiasticly in so many videos. Next year when I can buy again. I'm on a Replacement Only No Buy for this year.
Since this foundation doesn't wear so well, and isn't good for mature or dry skins, I really think Guerlain have missed the mark here, with this one. Their price point is aimed at women who are aged thirty plus, ie can afford the high end price point, and most women who are thirty plus lead busy lives and need a minimum of 8 hours wear, preferably 12. What a shame, because the bottle would look amazing on a bathroom counter.

Hi lovely, I'm sorry this foundation didn't work for you, even not with the tatcha primer as you updated. I also was so intrigued by the packaging and the word GLOW! Makeup junkies, that's all I say 😂😂😂 Last time I chatted with Samantha March about makeup I said, foundations and nude lipsticks, it's a struggle, we're always on the hunt for the perfect one, lol. Today I ordered the new l'oreal fresh wear foundation, I'm so excited to try it because until now I didn't hear one bad review, I'm so curious and can't wait to try it. Have a great week dear 😘😘😘

Darn, so disappointing 😕 Hopefully you have better results with another primer, or that it mixes well with another foundation so it’s not a total loss for you! I’m not sure if it’s available in the UK, but have you heard of Physicians Formula Heathy Foundation? I believe I am almost the same age as you and my skin is very dry right now (the -30C weather here isn’t helping, lol) and I LOOOVE this foundation. It’s luminous without looking oily, nice,buildable coverage and makes my skin look plumper and smoother. Not sure if you are even looking to try another foundation, but I highly recommend it! Love you in this lippie shade as well 😀

I'm 58 with dry but pretty good skin, ie: not crinkly. I do like a "skin like" finish. What foundation would you recommend (from the ones you have reviewed) that I could possibly use?
Also, three cheers for being the first UA-camr I have seen to mention the fact that there are people who work long hours 👏👍👏👍👏👍. AND that their foundation has to perform well during those hours plus a couple more.

Not a good color for you...way to yellow. You are very pale with neutral to pink undertones. The foundation is horrible.
Wow the lighting must be very off!! Or maybe you're being thrown by my rosacea?? I'm actually olive, not at ALL pink!! Pink undertones look AWFUL on me! The foundation shade was actually a great match to my body, you can probably see a clearer idea in the daylight video if its somehow thrown off by my lighting xx

The shade is perfect! I think it may just be the lights it really isn't that dewy x
