Yes! Always wondered why nobody else mentioned this foundation. i feel like tayor and julia are soooo different like exact opposites in style and foundation taste/makeup taste 😂 love it that they both like it.
Heard about this foundation from Julia Adams here on the UA-cam, it's one of her favorites, and she got me hooked on it as well. It's very beautiful, works well with my combo skin too.

ivorypetalz After Mel Thompson and Michele Wong recommended it, I tried the shade 2N on a Sephora sample card with an order, wore it all day then ordered it that night (something I NEVER do). The shade is just slightly too dark but passable so I ordered 1N on my next order (I rarely rebuy foundation btw). HG stuff! I can't even get mad about the price it's so perfect. My exact level of coverage, feels amazing, sits well on my 50-year-old skin and just smoothes everything out to perfection..

I've been stepping up my face game thanks to you. 💸 I've started using the Paula's Choice BHA exfoliant, which I like, but I also finally picked up the VDL foundation and the NARS creamy concealer. And the Supergoop Glowscreen. And the Morphe E45 brush. I've been loving all of them. And the foundation hasn't been melting off, even with the 105°+ weather we've been having here this week. Which is amazing. 🙌 Thanks so much for all your recommendations!

I'm not usually into glowy foundations but this one looks absolutely beautiful on you on camera. If it looks just as pretty in real life, it's a winner. I love drug store makeup but I do like to splurge on higher end foundations sometimes. This is definitely one I'm going to have to look into. 💖

I will never 👏understand why studio lights are used!! Makeup artists that post their natural lighting makeup tutorials are gorgeous!! Weather it’s sun, shade , rain. I prefer them so much more because I don’t know about you but I’m not spending my days in front of studio lights ! What am I gonna look like out of the house girl?!! ❤️
I just wore this for the first time today and loveddddd it! It held up so freaking nice under my mask and looked insanely beautiful. I feel like the shades do run dark, so I am going to have to exchange it for a lighter shade than what I thought I’d be based on the Sephora Shade Finder and online swatches, but I will gladly do so because it’s so pretty!

I purchased this foundation from Guerlain immediately after it was available on Sephora, and I haven’t used anything since. I use very little product, less than a pump, and blend with my fingers. I conceal, modestly, with Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer in 1.5N. I add my cream blush and bronzer, and lightly set with the Hourglass loose powder, or bareminerals hydrating mineral veil. For reference I’m 45 with combination skin.

I don't know if it's just the camera but the shade looks perfect for you! This foundation looks beautiful on you, too bad I have super oily skin and don't like to look that dewy or else I would try this one.
I got 02C a few months back (before the masks were required) i work in a hospital and it lasted for a 12 hour shift and I got none stop compliments over my skin. It made it look radiant and kept my oily combo skin at bay. I really love this and would buy again.

When I tried that foundation, I remember it having a bit of an almond scent. I preferred the Guerlain Lingerie over the L’Essential honestly.

I have used this foundation for mlnths and it my FAVORITE foundation I have EVER tried in the history of wearing foundation. I have combination skin leaning oily and it makes me look as if I came into this world with angelic, smooth, and glowing skin.
Do you set it with a powder or setting spray? If yes please share, I am still trying to make this one work with my combo oily skin...
@@tracipalmer9633 I set mine with the Illamasqua loose powder and it holds up pretty well. I too have combo/oily skin and yes I will still look shiny mid-day. Thing is, oily skin is demonized for no reason and I have come to accept my oily skin for what it is. You don't have to wear a matte, 72h wear, will stay on after your death foundation. Makeup moves, makeup is temporary, your skin is oily and there is nothing wrong with that.
Invest in good skincare, don't forget to moisturize and that's it. Let your skin be your skin and thank the lord because oily skin means you will be less prone to wrinkles lol.
@@tracipalmer9633 Sorry I am just now responding. I did not realize you replied to my comment. I used to be SUPER oily (I am now 23 years old) then about two years ago I turned into normal/ combo skin (leaning oily on nose and forehead). I moisturize very well before, use the tatcha pump primer, and use tatcha sunscreen primer underneath. I usually just lightly dust with the Charlotte Tilbury Compact Powder on my t-zone (where I get the most oily). It usually wears beautifully on my skin and I use a compact powder as needed throughout the day or night.
@@mimoleta Yes, I really appreciate the beautiful glow I get from this foundation. It mixes well with my natural oils throughout the day. Making me look balanced between a healthy flush glow and not an oily spilled mess. :)

I got a sample i didn't ask for and it's amazing. I usually wear clinique cc creme and concealer foundation . This may r we place both products. Transfer free, looks wonderful, feels light. I'm usually oily after 3 hours but I'm flawless.

I just ordered this based on your review :))). I have a suggestion, you may have tried already but it’s Guerlain Les Voilettes translucent compact powder. It’s a dream! Best powder I’ve ever used! It too melts into the skim to look flawless & almost lit within. Controls oil all day without looking chalky. Smooths my pores as well. My complexion is similar toy yours, I’m shade 02 Clair. Just a suggestion I think you’d love!!!
The signature scent of the Guerlain products is violet, a soft powdery floral scent.

I literally love this foundation after having discovered it when all the brand were coming out with their new foundations (i.e fenty, pat mcgrath, etc). I was surprised this one didn’t get much coverage by other youtubers, but loved that I discovered it. It’s literally a staple fave of mine now.

I definitely find the brush makes the difference with the Fenty Cream bronzer as I hated it the first time I used it with the recommended fenty brush. I now use the Morphe E48 with it and do a downwards pressing motion to blend it. I’m paler than Tay and I use Butta Biscuit
