HAIR COLOUR:
I dye my own hair at home using L'oreal casting creme gloss 360 (black cherry). Please bear in mind that this is a semi permanent dye and I don't use it regularly, when freshly applied it is BLACK!! If my hair is lighter it is extremely faded and i'm probably due a colour so what you're then seeing is mainly my natural hair colour which is a reddish medium brown.
SKIN TYPE/COLOUR
I'm 35 and my skin is normal with a slightly oily t zone and early signs of aging like fine lines as well as some sun damage and REDNESS!
I DO NOT use fake tan, I get very tan naturally in the summer as I have olive skin. My face is often a LOT lighter than my body because I keep my face very well protected to keep my melasma under control and signs of aging at bay!
My Necklace:
I get sooooo many questions about it, I'm so sorry it's not a happy answer! Its actually 2 necklaces together, and both were gifts so I don't have much detail, here is everything my hubby can remember! The larger disc and the chain were from Azendi, it has a picture of the moon and reads "The same moon around the world" (which is something that meant a lot to us when we first met and he was travelling with work A LOT). The smaller discs were from www.notonthehighstreet.com and they have my daughter's fingerprints and name and date of birth and they were a present when she was born. They don't seem to be available anymore I'm sorry!!

Hi all, here the some updates, it's so interesting how mixed your votes are!!! Clearly shows its down to personal preferences! Firstly I see there are some comments that the Nars appeared smoother, just to clarify that wasn't the case in person, lights shining on a very glowy product always exaggerates texture so bear in mind that wont be the case in real life. Think of it as a matte foundation vs dewy under lights can look much smoother but in real life it doesn't!! An update on the wear time, the Nars didn't appear to make a difference to makeup wear, if anything that side looked a little more worn than the CT. Just to reiterate I used probably close to 8 teeny pumps of the Nars, if it appears I used less compared to the CT it's just the huge difference in the thickness of the textures x

To me it seems that the Charlotte one is more glowy than the Nars, however to me the Nars side looks smoother. Both look amazing on the face.

I honestly can never detect any glory products under my foundation (I blame my poor bathroom lighting) so I generally apply under and over foundation as you demonstrated here. So happy that you’ve done this video. The Nars looks more like Milani’s Soft Focus Glow in terms of glowyness. I mush prefer the look of the CT but see how it can be a personal preference.

Omg just yesterday at Sephora I was SO undecided which one to buy lol I didn’t buy either because I just didn’t know. For me, the winner is Nars; I’m just more of a natural, skin-like makeup kinda girl. And your skin looked smoother but naturally radiant with the Nars. I feel like CT gives too much an obvious highlight, but to each their own! And they both proved to serve their purpose. Thank you so much for this video!! 👏

Great, a review I was really hoping for. On screen I could see that the CT flawless filter has more glow. Anything that gives my face radiance and is illuminating gets a huge thumbs👍 up from me. I have the CT which I love. The Nars glow booster is much more subtle, but maybe ok to wear on it's own in the summer. Something to ponder on I think 😐.

I’m combination and I struggle with CT products as they always seem to be aimed more at dryer complexions to give that “glow” so for me Nars wins as it’s subtle and looks like your skin is just really hydrated. I do love the baby skin clay mask from CT though, great for combo skins! More comparison vids please! 💃🏻👍🏻⭐️👌🏻

Great comparison review. I have the CT HFF so I was like I don’t need the NARS Glow Booster. Based on your review while they are essentially the same the way you use it makes the difference... I think the NARS would be better suited for days you wear no makeup at all or a no makeup makeup look with tinted moisturizer/BB cream... I can see mixing it with moisturizer or even concealer for added brightening under eyes especially if you suffer from dry under eyes. CT def is better under medium to full coverage products and on top of foundation if you really want the glow to peak through and as a base for powder highlighters. Having both may be a good thing so you have options depending on the look you want from day to day. NARS is for everyday.. CT is for those special days and events

Would love to see both products layered. I'm older so think the CT one would highlight pores and fine lines but like the glow. Would be good to see the CT one on the cheeks with the Nars one layered as an all over natural base. The things we do to look natural :)

At first I preferred the CT on you but it does enhance pores and texture like you said and to me it almost has a white pearlescent cast that some will either love or hate. I think the products are different. I would compare the CT more in line with something like Benefit High Beam or MAC Strobe Cream. I haven’t tested the CT myself but I’m just going off of how it looks. The NARS definitely looks more natural and subtle. I have more mature skin so I think that would look best on me, anxious to try it.
CT definitely looks a tad glowier- I do prefer the pump, though. Love the eyeshadow.. Metropolis? :)

Although the Flawless Filter is MORE glowy,the Nars is more NATURAL looking. However, I love them BOTH on you! However, the FINISHED look, I like the Nars side much better. Yup, Flawless Filter wins for me, as well. Now if it weren't so darned expensive!

Love both on you, however, I prefer the NARS for all over, because I wear glowy foundations I use the CT on top of my cheekbones. But, I love the matte foundation over the CT I’m picking up the NARS, & will have use for both. Great review. What eyeshadow are you wearing? Looks great.

You look gorgeous! I like the CT side which had more glow but not over the top. I agree the CT is more versatile. I don't see being able to use the Nars for different things. It just seems to be a softly barely glowing primer. I don't see it being used for anything else. I'm having eye makeup envy right now. I had cataract surgery and no eye makeup for a month. One eye today and the other next week. Your eyes are stunning!

I only own the Charlotte Tilbury one and I like it on its own or as a base, the texture is great and I personally prefer the wand to the pump. I have not tried the Nars product.

I prefer the CT side. Which is strange of me to say that, as I have the CT flawless filter but very rarely use it. I feel it’s too thick and glowy. But it is lovely in you. Love the top and your overall make up look. It really suits you x

I’m only halfway through the video and am enjoying the comparison so far. It’s interesting though - I went to my local Nars counter and asked if it was comparable to the CT one and the lady said no not at all, and she even said she felt it was being marketed wrong as everyone was asking the same. She said it was more skincare / primer / mixer to glow up matte foundations... ordered mine anyway (saw your heads up about the discount from Look Fantastic so thank you for that!) Looking forward to trying it.

It’s odd because I do like the look of the nars under your foundation more than the CT but I like the look of the CT as a highlight obviously more than the nars.
Well I just orders both of them before watching any reviews, think i should have chosen just one, but oh well, I love naturally glowy skin. Many i will use the ears one under my foundation, and the CT on top 🤷🏻♀️
Hey lovely, I was interested to see how the Nars booster performed, I just personally think it’s a bit of a gimmicky product that everyone may think it’s this amazing new product & wants to purchase it but to me personally it’s one of those things that it’s not really amazing or needed as there are so many glow boosting products already tbh, There are not enough positives to make a huge difference 😂 if you use a good primer and foundation I don’t think you can go far wrong 😃 lots of love always Jo xoxo
The CT #1 is what I use but it’s not light enough for highlighter for me so I use it instead of or mixed with foundation. I love it. But it can be too glowy on its own. I may pick up the Nars as it sounds perfect for what I like to use instead of foundation.

Think the sponge application would be less glowy than a straight to skin from the doe foot. Have you tested what it looks like applied with fingers?

I popped into TJ Maxx today, not looking for anything in particular, and I found the NARS for $14.99. Wasn’t sure what the reviews were but I grabbed it - I have 2 CT (#1 and #2) but ironically never use them because they are expensive and seem “special”, but what is the point if I don’t use them - they will go to waste. I use Becca Backlight filter mixed with Glossier Future Dew - love them mixed!!!
Ha! I’m a Scouser and I absolutely do wear the CT Flawless Filter on its own.... but then I don’t really have what you could call “no make-up days” 😁. On camera it did look like the CT gave you more coverage and I think that’s what Charlotte intended for this product - that those of us who enjoy looking like the Tin Man on the school run could get away without wearing foundation.

In my opinion there isn't really significant skincare element to either of these products. CT states that HFF contains "natural antioxidants and anti-inflammatories" and Nars contains "Jojoba Complex Hydraglow Complex, a dynamic combination of Jojoba Elixir for deep nourishment" x

I actually like the more natural side with nars. For every day i think muted and subtle is more elegant and neutral. Just my opinion different strokes for different folks

I like Nars better, but went to the website and saw they have only a few shades... not sure what shade would work on my yellow skin tone
Definitely CT is more glowy than the Nars. Do you ever powder after you wear either one of these or is that just defeating the purpose. I bought the CT one as my cheeks have a lot of wrinkles and I wanted that dewy finish, man foundation looked so nice but my t-zone was very oily so I did go in with powder on that area. The NARS is just different I think it makes the skin look more refined rather than highlighted.
Personally I would go for CT every time. I’m super happy with HFF so the nars product never interested me. CT looked 100 x better on you. X
